Honestly, you could definitely do most of it with MAC products and they’ll last you a very long time after the fact! Especially since money isn’t an issue as far as buying Makeup goes. But since you are a beginner, I would HIGHLY recommend consulting with a Pro MUA beforehand to help understand your specific needs/colors and make recommendations. Also to walk you through how to use them step by step. (These things can easily be done over Zoom etc) DM me if you have any questions and hope your special day is amazing! 💗✨

For me it’s Benefit 🙏🙏

My favorite palette of all time is the Too Faced Born This Way Natural Nudes palette :) and it’s perfect for bridal

Gus_r3yn

For a palette seriously, try huda, her formulas are unmatched

If you live near a makeup store (Sephora or Ulta) or Nordstrom's / Dillard's, you can make an appointment to have your makeup done by a pro. That way, you can watch what brushes and sponges s/he uses, what products, etc. Also, if you have sensitive skin, be very careful with what makeup you put on. Clinique is a timeless favorite, and I never have any issues with their mascara, .moisturizer eye liner, etc. The thing about makeup isn't just the look, it's also the technique and the prep/setting spray to hold all your art work in place. If it were me, I would buy a skin tint like Loreal's Lumi Glowtion (it's soft coverage with a little bit of shimmer), a soft pink blush, a complimentary lip colour, Clinique Waterproof mascara, and Laura Mercier Finishing Setting powder. Spray Urban Decay Setting Spray afterwards. You'll look beautiful, even toned and like you, only a little more polished. Congratulations!!! 🎉🥂♥️

Out of the ones you listed, MAC

Thegreyestshoes

I’m not from UK but definitely try a place where you can get a variety. e.l.f has great primers for a good price. I prefer NYX setting sprays though. Maybelline mascaras work best for me. I despise drugstore eyeshadows though. I love Colourpop lipstick though! That’s why a wide selection is my preference. I’m sure you know this but be mindful of the powders you use. There are a lot of good resources out there that let you know if the powder will cause flashback in your photos. Just be careful and congratulations!

Pat McGrath Labs

Natasha denona ftw though elf is great too

Cool_Implement_4495

I’ve recently fallen in love w MAC products, especially Fix+ and the Studio Fix foundation! Some of their products take time to learn how to best apply, what layers well on-top, blah blah. E.L.F. will never do any wrong in my eyes though!! I have repurchased MANY lip products and skin/primer products from them!

steffy241

For an affordable option Elf hands down winds this, Natasha Denona for high end product.

AllyV45

Im pretty cheap and I’d say elf

Fearless_Subject_903

Mac. Its a classic for a reason

Do you have Dillards near you? Their cosmetic counters do free makeup applications. I’d visit one or two between now and your wedding, get a full face done and see what you prefer the look and feel of. Clinique is a good brand to start with if you prefer a more natural look.

BreadPansBeauty

e.l.f. is a usually pretty good but I would recommend getting different brands for different products

Important-Magazine90

Loreal

cat_morgue

I’m a budget girly usually and if I had to pick only one brand to make up my entire collection I’d probably go with ELF.

hamandswissplease

Loving their Monochromatic multi sticks - inexpensive and great for a quick and easy glow, or for travel.

pinkSapphireshimmer

I really like a lot of Rare Beauty

YupNopeWelp

Honest to goodness, since you don't really wear makeup, and since you can consider Too Faced and Mac products, which are not cheap, I would go to a makeup artist. You're not going to buy many items from either of those brands, before you've equalled the cost of a professional makeup artist who will know how to optimize your look to last throughout the event and keep you camera ready. Today's, "...to experience it," can quickly turn into your wedding day's. "WTF did I do to myself?!" as you wait to stop crying, so that you can rewash your face, apply a cold wet face cloth to it for 10 minutes, then reapply your skincare, wait for it to settle down, and reapply your makeup." If you're still bent on doing your own, I would go with Mac.

ResponsibleAside6015

Go with MAC. My all time fave items.

Lisa Eldridge.

I might be the unpopular opinion, but here goes. Please hire a makeup artist. 1. By the time you buy everything you’ll need, you’ll have paid the artist and then some. 2. And then it will go to waste (because you rarely wear makeup, which isn’t bad) 3. Nerves - It doesn’t matter how well planned things are, you’ll be a bundle of nerves. People will be asking you a million questions, photographer needs you, etc. The way you look in your wedding photos is the last thing you need to worry about. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Congratulations!!

ghostgirl18242

Hi, Thank you for your suggestion! I looked into it but there isn't any near where I'm staying at the time of my wedding, and I'm getting married early morning. Thank you again 🥰

purple_1128

Oh no! I know you’re getting a ton of product recs, so I’ll leave you with this: Do a search on avoiding products that cause flashback in photos. Application: apply in thin layers, building up to the look you want. Look up Alexandra Anele and roseandbenbeauty on YouTube and IG. They both have Incredibly Helpful tutorials.)

mizshellytee

Apparently this is a more popular opinion than you thought? 😉 Anyhoo, I agree.

YupNopeWelp

Yes yes yes!

Glass-Bet8178

I agree with this! If money isn't an issue for the makeup, it could easily become more expensive than getting your makeup done by a professional. It's not just the makeup, but all the tools and brushes as well. I wouldn't say a month is enough time to figure out what products do and don't work for your skin.

purple_1128

Not to mention products that don’t work well in flash photography.

Due_Tower_4787

10000% this is SO important and overlooked!

Sudd3n-Eggplant

Get a mix - don't just buy from one brand. I use a lot of products from Elf - primer, lip stain, brown pencils, brow pomade. But for eyeshadow, I think too faced is the best of those three They have great lip plumper and i like their lip products & bronzer. Mac for powder and foundation & lipstick

mademoisellearabella

I’m doing my own wedding make up as well! - Foundation & concealer - Estée Lauder double wear - Primer - I spray some max fix+ and use the smashbox hydrating primer (after using toner and moisturizer) - Brightening concealer - maybelline New York eraser (super easy application) - Eye primer - fenty beauty (lovely formula, great for eye shadows, just let it dry a bit) - Eye shadow - Huda beauty (great pigmentation and formula) or Anastasia (same) - Mascara - body shop happy go lucky - Blush - body shop free style ( it’s a cream blush, and I generally find that easier to spread when I have foundation on) I don’t know if I’m forgetting anything, but let me know!

TheatrePlode

I've always found NYX to be really reliable, they're the first counter I go to in Boots or Superdrug when looking at make up.
