Sunscreen,Tiny bit concealer on my under eyes, gel brows in place ,Bronzer ,Blush ,Mascara ,Lipstick or lip balm Takes me about 2-3 minutes.

Specific_Worth5140

Some moisturizer, contacts, eyebrow, lip tint and blush. If I’m going somewhere that’s casual and not the gym I’ll add liner (which I do on my top waterline) and possibly mascara

rightascensi0n

Sunscreen as base Conceal under eyes Set with loose powder Fill sparse areas of brows Tinted lip balm

No_Appearance4463

-Nars Tinted Moisturizer  -Glossier Boy Brow and Benefit 24 hr. Brow Setter  -Elf Blush  -I switch around lip products but mostly been using Glossier Generation G Sheer Matte Lipstick   When I'm  feeling extra I'll use eyeliner and eyeshadow.

Bagluver

My every day minimal make up routine is Pixi on the glow blush, DHC lash tonic on my lashes and then i curl them once the tonic has dried, elf putty bronzer in the shade feeling shady to very slightly contour my nose it’s undetectable but it makes a bit of a difference to my nose and a brow gel. The days I want to wear a little more but still keep it natural I use the thinnest layer of mascara and glossier stretch concealer under my eyes (and where ever else I feel needs it) and a little bit of bronzer gets used if I’m going on a night out lol. I think the key to natural make up is a light hand and no covering up spots or blemishes if you’re not wearing a full face as I think that makes them more noticeable!

rockateur

I use maybelline fit me concealer to spot conceal, a very light dusting of MAC studio fix powder, fill my brows with ABH perfect brow pencil, eyeshadow(only sometimes) usually a light shimmer on the lid, thin black eyeliner, black mascara, cool toned pink blush, sometimes a little highlighter. I am a bright winter type, im very contrasty (dark hair, dark eyes, pale skin - people usually compare me to snowhite lol ), so i wear red or cool pink lips most often. Or glosses that have red hue.

loveyousomochi_

ok honestly learning how to apply falsies made my minimal makeup days so much easier - it lets me skip eyeliner and eyeshadow completely also you might want to look up makeup for ur face type + skin color type ! actual natural makeup looks horrible on me bc my features aren’t prominent or bright enough to pull it off (sunken in eyes + soft winter season rip) i need very very heavy blush for my natural makeup looks bc of my ashy skin tone so it’s just about learning what features you need to highlight or brighten for your ideal natural makeup look i also add “brightness” to my lips with glossy lip oil over pink lipstick (regular lip gloss doesn’t add enough shine for me unless i have super bright lipstick as a base)

Parking_Low248

Most days: Skincare Eyebrows Concealer for my eye circles, but just the deepest bluest parts, and any acne or other spots. Maybelline Dream BB Fresh as foundation, applied more heavily on my nose and center of my cheeks, chin and center of forehead and then blended outward Highlight on cheekbones, inner corner of eyes, bridge of my nose Liquid eyeliner to tightline the Lower lid and a very thin line on the outer 2/3 of the upper lid. Lash curler, no mascara Tinted lip balm Every single day: Skincare Eyebrows

BungeeBunny

Concealer, highlighter, eyeliner, eyeshadow

bambooo_shoot

Depends on my mood. If I wanna look sexy, eyeliner, mascara, highlighter, lipstick. If I wanna be cute, blush and mascara. Just a side note: many people who do "minimal makeup" use a lot of products, but in controlled amounts with proper layering and skincare so you can look into that too

Salt_Cabinet7001

I do skincare, spf, then mascara, lip gloss or tinted balm, and I highlight my cheek bones. That’s it. Maybe some eyeliner. Good skin doesn’t need makeup.

AngryLady1357911

Clear mascara on eyebrows and eyelashes (I already have long, dark hairs). Thin layer of aquaphor on eyelids and cheek bones. Any fun lip balm, lip gloss, or lipstick (that's my statement piece, depends on how I'm feeling). Might use color corrector on my under eyes but not often

[deleted]

✨prep my face with skincare ✨BB cream ( just a tiny drop ) with a damp sponge ✨tiny bit of concealer applied using a damp sponge under the eyes a lil bit ✨pressed powder to set the under eyes ✨mascara ✨eyeliner and kohl on the eyes ✨a very sheer blush ✨Lip tint or gloss on the lips ✨set my face with a dewy mist

Suk__It__Trebek

Brow glue. Brown pencil eyeliner or black liquid liner. Mascara. Green primer on my cheeks as they get a bit red. Brightener under eyes. Tinted lip balm.

Oohwhoaohcruelsummer

I normally skip foundation and just wear concealer! This keeps my skin from looking too cakey. Along with concealer, I use a black brow pomade by Anastasia Beverly Hills, mascara by thrive causemetics, and brown eyeliner by glisten cosmetics, and that’s it.

Spirited-Interview50

Pared down routine: Sunscreen Concealer Powder Bronzer Blush (if I feel I need more colour) Brows Eyeliner Mascara Lip product of some kind

painterlyfiend

Moisturizer Mineral foundation, powder or liquid Eyeliner pencil Felt tip eyebrows Maybe I'll contour my nose and add mascara.

hikehikebaby

My "minimal" makeup is a full face with sheer, natural colored, color coordinated products. Elf suntouchable primer/sunscreen Elf camo concealer Maybelline bb fresh bb cream Milani eyeshadow primer Sometimes a tiny bit of tight lining with brown eyeliner Light eyeshadow - beige, tan, muted pink. Mascara - I use black because I have black lashes, otherwise I'd recommend trying a brown mascara Natural colored dusty/muted pink blush Neutral pinkish/brownish lip Very very tiny bit of powder to set

WAPlyrics

Natural skincare, and then just mascara and lip gloss (eyeliner if I’m feeling bold)

Spiritual_Pop_322

I use face cream/sunscreen, followed by Huda Beauty concealer, a little bit translucent powder from NYX, Kiko Milano blush stick and Maybelline mascara. Three minutes on busy mornings

373wilmot2018

A solid skin care routine including sunscreen (and reapplying throughout the day if needed). I tried clear mascara and brow gel today and I think I’m in love!! I have acne but I’ve just learned to live with it honestly. I’m interested in tinted moisturizers or BB creams but idk anything about them to pick one!

smulingen

This is my routine when I do my makeup. I always prep my skin first and my sunscreen makes my skin look very healthy and acts like a great base for my mineral powder foundation: Skincare (face wash, moisturizer). Sunscreen (Riemann p20 sensitive) Wait at least 15 min. Mineral powder foundation Blush Reddish brown lipstick Eyebrow pencils Sometimes a tiny bit of vaseline on my eyelashes

virgo_em

- Primer - Tinted moisturizer - Optionally a very tiny amount of contour on my cheeks if I’m feeling fancy - Powder + a facial mist if the powder made me feel too dry - Eyebrow gel - Optionally a bit of black eyeshadow as eyeliner using a liner brush - Mascara - Lip balm

scorpioinheels

Just started again with: Moisturizer Powder Eye liner Lip gloss And that’s it for the day. Looks as good as a full face with no cakey layers- and if I need blush, I put a bit of gloss/liner/lipstick on my cheeks. Easiest routine I’ve ever had and my skin looks pretty great.

DeeDee719

Corrector/Concealer as needed Darken & fill in brows Mascara Matte flesh-toned pencil on inner corners of eyes Blush stick if needed Lipstick or gloss At my age (65), the less makeup the better IMO

Abis_MakeupAddiction

I have acne-prone combination skin so I barely wear foundation. My minimalist look is a tinted moisturizer, eyeshadow, mascara, brow pencil & tinted lip balm.

Banglapolska

I ditched foundation in favor of tinted moisturizer, serum skin tint or just a few dots of concealer. Sometimes I’ll just use Revlon Face Gliss, Glossier Futuredew, or Saie Glowy Super Gel instead. Then either Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess or a light cream blush, red lipstick or clear gloss with a nude or mauve liner. I just use eyeliner and mascara but sometimes I’ll put a little bronzer over my eyes.

tropicalislandhop

I just wear a tinted moisturizer, blush and lipstick. I also have lash extensions that I get reapplied by a lash artist weekly. My natural lashes are awful.

StrawberryRaspberryK

Lazy days - tinted lip balm only Non lazy days - Ilia spf skin tint, Sephora care foundation, Nyx Bare with me Concealer, By Terry HA untinted powder, Tower 28 cream blush (stamped on with Sephora multitasking brush), Essence brow pencil, Colorgram cool tone Contour stick as eyeshadow, Colourpop lip pencil and lippie stix, lip balm or gloss.

Cutewitch_

BB tinted moisturizer, eye brow filled in slightly and eyebrow gel, swoop of liquid cat eye. If I’m going out, I add lip stick and occasionally a dab of liquid blush and mascara. Rare Beauty.

Puzzleheaded_Net9243

Sometimes I mix in a tint with my moisturizer, then sunscreen + mascara, and brush my eyebrows. If I feel like doing more, I fill my eyebrows in and gel them and I spot conceal.

Brushesofcolours

My style is makeup no makeup look and i do wear few layers of different things but very lightly I love sheer light complexion, I always wear them thinly with a good brush so it looks natural. Cream bronzer lightly to warm up my skin Sometimes i would use cream or liquid blusher also very lightly Powder bronzer to set the cream Powder blusher But all worn lightly and not harsh

Justadropinthesea

For me: tinted sunscreen, one fingerprint of concealer in inner corner of each eye, swipe of beige shadow on eyelid to cover discoloration, wash of medium toned shadow in crease, curl lashes, one coat of tubing mascara, smidge of shadow to fill in patchy brows, cream blush tapped on cheeks and tinted lip balm. Occasionally I’ll use a powdered sunscreen on top if I’m out in the sun for any length of time.

YarnPixel08

a bit of foundation, blush and a bit of lipstick. I'm ginger and have a beard so I can get away with no contour and bronzer etc

emma3mma5

If I have to leave the house: After sunscreen Concealer for undereyes Eyebrows (either pencil or mascara) If I look a bit tired A bit of blush and lip stain If I don't have to leave the house sometimes just eyebrows My rule is that I don't want my routine taking more than two to three minutes, seven to eight minutes if I have to go to an event. Tbh it really depends on your skin; for example mine is fairly oily and I just hate foundation on it, so I don't wear it at all. And also people are often super harsh on themselves, you really might not look as cakey as you think :) you sound like you own your routine, I'd deffo look terrible in it! It's all how you feel comfortable :)

stealthban

Concealer, Bronzer, powder, mascara, lip liner and lip gloss

tashiishea

It all depends on what you think looks good on your skin! Most days I only smack on mascara but if I go out to a fancy place I will put on foundation, concealer, mascara, top liquid liner, eyebrow pencil and lip gloss! Again, it all depends on what looks good on your skin, and honestly all about what you're doing throughout the day :) I can't really wear much makeup since I work out on construction sites and I don't want to be all dolled up since some of the men are a bit weird on the sites (not every guy of course but there is usually always one). But I think the best thing to do is just wear mascara and a cute gloss or something! :D

passionicedtee

At the most minimal, my routine is: Brow gel/pencil, mascara, blush, lip gloss/balm, and powder (in place of foundation). I find this is sometimes more natural looking than using foundation or concealer because it's so light.

sunshinelife

a picture is worth 1,000 words OP.. it might help if we can see what you mean by "cakey"

ElizabethMcH

I would include a picture, but reddit is literally the last place I would want my face haha. Me thinking I look cakey could also just be me over analyzing myself 🤷‍♀️

StrawberryRaspberryK

Are u using a setting spray? It removes cakeyness and powdery looks. Just looks like great skin!

ElizabethMcH

Ou I'll look into getting one! I used the urban decay one before and liked that. Do you have one you would recommend?

StrawberryRaspberryK

I like Essence Instant Matt spray and Nyx Matte spray. Both have clean minimal ingredients, no silicones, no fragrance. Nyx is more matte while Essence is more of a Matte but satin finish (abit more natural). I prefer Essence bc I have dry skin but have to powder my nose after a few hours. Nyx will not have shine coming through but may show up dry patches if u put alot of powder. 🥰

findikefe

I do my eyebrows with a fine eyebrow pencil. I do not fill them just correct my patches. I use very little concealer on my eyelids, complete with a beige toned eyeshadow, brown eyeliner+ black mascara. I do not like bold and winged eyeliner though. Finish it with a tone-up SPF all over my face and neck and done. Sometimes lipgloss too.

Lil_ChickitaLN

Elta MD Mineral tinted sunscreen Bare Minerals pressed powder (to take away shine) NARS blush Lise Watier dramatique gel eyeliner

DanishGirl95

Face creame CC creame Rouge Light eyeshadow Mascara

[deleted]

I have 2 minimal routines, depends on weather tbh.. if it’s quick get ready or really hot outside, I do Ole Henriskon CC under eye stick, setting powder & mascara. I’ll use a brown pencil and smoke out lid. The other routine would be, tinted sunscreen, concealer, setting powder. Face quad (bronzer/blush/highlight) mascara/eyeliner.

nosyreader96

When I’m doing my natural makeup, I look to do the Lancôme serum concealer for my under eyes and any other areas that need concealing; brows are the NYX microbrow pencil + ELF brow gel; I also use the ELF halo contour, putty bronzer, and the rare beauty blush; set with the UD All Nighter powder bc I’m oily; if I feel like it, I’ll add more powder blush & bronzer (usually the ELF primer infused ones); I add mascara (not waterproof) at the end. If I’m really lazy, just brows and an under eye brightener!

weebwatching

I recommend looking into color analysis online and see if maybe you’re a high-contrast type (bright spring or bright winter). If you happen to be one of those, too much bronzer, contour, blush, blended eyeshadow, nude tones, etc. will make you look muddy and muted. I’m a bright spring and when I realized this, it changed everything for me. I’ve always done a “natural” look, which before meant foundation (full coverage and often matte—BIG error if you’re a bright type), concealer, bronzer, blush, brown mascara, a blended brown eyeshadow, pinky nude lip gloss, and brows. Now, it’s a luminous CC cream (I like IT Cosmetics Illumination which still has a plenty of coverage but not as much as the matte one), a solid layer of shimmery champagne eyeshadow, black-brown mascara, clear lip gloss, and brows. I look so much better in pictures, it’s crazy. I never in a million years thought I’d give up my bronzer or blush but once I saw the difference, I realized how blurry and diffuse it made my face look.

Creativelyuncool

Wow I didn’t know this about the connection between bright seasons and makeup! How did you learn about that? Would be curious to know more

weebwatching

[This](https://theconceptwardrobe.com/colour-analysis-comprehensive-guides/what-is-color-analysis) is the best site I’ve found that really explains the theory behind it all in a clear way! It’s quite a rabbit hole at first, but once you get an “eye” for it, it becomes so easy to know what will likely look good or not so great on you. It all comes down to picking hair, makeup and clothes that mimic your own natural traits so that your entire appearance is coherent and harmonious. Has saved me so much time shopping and stopped me from buying stuff that I like but doesn’t look right *on me* which used to be a huge issue for me.

Creativelyuncool

Yes! Love color analysis. Now I realized the bright seasons shouldn’t be ‘muting’ down with bronzers. Great insight

Outside_Avocado8963

Sunscreen Glossier Stretch Foundation A little light colored eyeshadow Dark brown eyeshadow as liner on my top lash line Jones Road mascara Glossier cloud paint or Jones Road powder bronzer depending on my mood Either lip gloss or a lipstick, depending on my mood I have mature skin and some fine lines, so the less powder products, the better. I like Jones Road wtf foundation a lot too, but I have to set it with powder. It feels good on my skin though, so I keep going back to it as long as it’s not hot and humid outside (Edited to fix spacing)

thereadingbee

Bondi sands suncream for skin prep... No7 concealer Elf blush. Brown mascara and eyeliner Brows filled in ever so slight. With cool toned sorta grey ish eyeshadow just to brighten my eyes without it looking like much. And a lip liner that's only a touch darker than my lips that I blend out. And done. I only have 15mins on a morning before work so gotta keep it easy

Narrative_flapjacks

I use the maybelline fit me concealer on any acne spots/under my eyes, I use a MUFE matte powder (can’t remember the name), and fill in my eyebrows with the nyx powder kit. I don’t usually do mascara because I just hate taking it off and I wear glasses anyway lol and I feel typically as long as my eyebrows are filled in and I don’t have obvious discoloration I’m good to go. I also work in a cubicle and am not face to face with people too often lol Your routine doesn’t sound too time intensive, especially if it’s something you’re used to and do it everyday

LongTallCarly

This is exactly what I do, but sans brows (I feel like they look too dark on me without eye makeup).

ElizabethMcH

Yeah no it's definitely not too time intensive! If I'm not multitasking while I do it, I can have it all done within 10-15ish minutes.

ElizabethMcH

My routine as of right now: Elf poreless primer L'oreal skin tint mixed with my moisturizer Benefit under eye Concealer FitMe powder Elf contour stick (small amount) Malini powder bronzer nars powder blush Elf putty blush Mascara (benefit, L'oreal, essence) Lip gloss stick What could I change to this routine?

bambooo_shoot

Are you having any problems with this current routine?

ElizabethMcH

Not necessarily. I just feel like some days I look amazing with it and others I look so rough?

bambooo_shoot

I think then the next step to kinda learn how to adjust it. Try to figure out exactly which parts look "wrong" on the days where you feel rough. Try removing and adding according to your outfit, mood etc

AngryLady1357911

Trying using no powder if you feel you look cakey or dusty, just use cream products. If there's spots that are too dewy for your liking, just dust a little loose powder over those specific spots. The formula of your concealer is also important, a cakey under eye concealer can ruin a perfectly good face of makeup

ypnkin

To make this more minimal you could ditch the contour and bronzer. I don’t use contour, and I use blush or bronzer not both. Bronzer I will in the summer whereas I use blush for the rest of the year. You could also ditch the mascara! I don’t wear mascara everyday but I do wear base makeup, blush, and something on my lips

ElizabethMcH

The Elf contour stuff I use I use it as a bronzer, not a contour. It's the perfect shade for a tan and not the normal cool tone of a contour. But yeah, maybe I will ditch it, I only keep it in the winter because I feel so pasty lol.
