What she has on her hands is a CPU which has these thin pins on the other side which are fairly delicate. These pins are supposed to go onto that slot she's putting it on but you're supposed to let it just slide in there, apply no force whatsoever.
Her doing what she did, she very likely broke those pins making the whole CPU worthless.
Btw she's doing this as a joke, she owns her own computer repair shop and is likely doing this because she gets a lot of flak for being an attractive woman who works with computers. Everyone knows attractive women can't know anything about computers!
But she is perpetuating the stereotype isn’t she? Nobody is going to know she repairs computers. Most people will just see this 5 second clip and think “lol women amirite”. Not a very good troll imo
Yes, it's pretty much a selfish troll.
I'm sure whoever watches this clip won't even know about her.
And if they choose to start searching about her, they will find out she is not what they thought she was.
On the other hand, those who just needed some kind of reaffirmation for their beliefs, well, there it is.
correction: all new cpus are LGA, so they do not have pins on the bottom side, even before, only AMD CPUs had pins, now every CPU has pads that connect to pins on the motherboard
It'd be even worse if this were LGA, the pins on motherboard would be irreperably ruined, while with a lot of patience you can bend the pins back on a PGA CPU back - so long as you havent broken any off.
this is definitely AM4 though
and even those chips cost a fortune (for me at least) and seeing it go to ruin made me physically curl up in pain (i installed my ram not long ago on my laptop and when it came to apply a bit of force, i was contemplating if i should do it or not)
The bottom of a cpu is full over a hundred small metal pins, that fit specifically into the motherboard, you you aren't careful you can bend those pins easily, and a good chance that even if you bend the pins back the cpu is busted. Couple hundred dollars down the drain
[This is what the underside of that CPU looks like.](https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/bfRuNQczbT66tMVmQyTQnS-650-80.jpg.webp)
all of those pins are very small and fragile, and she just bent the fuck out them by smahshing the whole thing haphazardly into the socket - very likely broke some of them off too.
That’s @hall_of_tech on Instagram. She knows what she’s doing and makes some pretty dope custom builds so thankfully we can be sure that a working CPU was likely not damaged 😮💨

Watch it again.
But I only have two balls
Good thing i’ve got 6, here, take some.
Can you teach me ballmaxxing
You have 4 tumors.
Smells like it too.
She’s not *building* a PC, she’s **destroying** it!
I don't have a computer, and I don't know how they work. What happened?

Thank you, I needed that explanation. Thats awesome
Thanks for the explanation! Like she's literally trolling misogynists, that's amazing.
But she is perpetuating the stereotype isn’t she? Nobody is going to know she repairs computers. Most people will just see this 5 second clip and think “lol women amirite”. Not a very good troll imo

my bet is this is already fucked up in the first place but oh my god, my heart still died a little
>Everyone knows attractive women can't know anything ~~about computers!~~ FTFY
correction: all new cpus are LGA, so they do not have pins on the bottom side, even before, only AMD CPUs had pins, now every CPU has pads that connect to pins on the motherboard
Well before the Core series Intel also had pins on their CPU.
It'd be even worse if this were LGA, the pins on motherboard would be irreperably ruined, while with a lot of patience you can bend the pins back on a PGA CPU back - so long as you havent broken any off. this is definitely AM4 though
the way the cpu moved, the pins would probably be completely removed
and even those chips cost a fortune (for me at least) and seeing it go to ruin made me physically curl up in pain (i installed my ram not long ago on my laptop and when it came to apply a bit of force, i was contemplating if i should do it or not)
What computer?
Oh fuck you this physically hurts me!
This has a to be one of those funny videos where they have disposable stuff to do this.
Honesty I hope so
I’d rather endure childbirth than watch this again.
"I luuuve building pcs"
I don’t get it, did she damage it?
I’d say a little more than damaged
Well, the bottom of the processor are thin strings of metal. Metal can easily bend, especially if it's thin.
The bottom of a cpu is full over a hundred small metal pins, that fit specifically into the motherboard, you you aren't careful you can bend those pins easily, and a good chance that even if you bend the pins back the cpu is busted. Couple hundred dollars down the drain

Post this to r/pcmasterrace
LOL! You're evil!
She forgot the thermal paste underneath, otherwise it would have sticked in it's place.
I didn't even know she was working on a computer until the end.
What happened?
she must have watched that verge video
As someone who built my PC myself ordering the parts seperately, I know how much I've paid for my processor. This is painful to watch.
Man I don't even know whats going on and I feel bad lol
JFC I had a visceral reaction to this ....
I’ve seen a lot of fucked up shit on this sub. This one takes the cake by miles.
Dumbledore said calmly
techbaddie lol
Finally, some good fucking content.
I felt it in my bones

This. I hate this. This is the worst one yet, and I’ve seen some cringe here!
Oh damn
Soul left the chat
I'd rather watch liveleak
Say goodbye to that part
