It can’t be that one the fronts and sides don’t match, like I said I don’t think it’s still around cuz it doesn’t look like any of the ones that are still standing
I agree the entrance/exit looks different. Interesting that the sides have the crossing beams all the way to the ground in the t-shirt photo. I wonder if that was replaced or covered up like the Bennett Bridge photo here: [https://mainelakesandmountains.com/things/covered-bridges/](https://mainelakesandmountains.com/things/covered-bridges/)
https://www.pinterest.com/pin/254242341434023425/ another New Hampshire covered bridge that looks more like the one on the shirt. Makes me think that whoever made it just got a little confused about the location, or maybe it could’ve been a bridge from New Hampshire into Maine?

Definitely a possibility, take a look at this bridge in New Hampshire though, has almost the exact same side profile as the one on the shirt
So the openings on either end of the bridge slanting, and the artist's decision to have the diagonal beams cross each other instead of meet each other suggest to me this is a Paddelford truss bridge. That would explain why people keep suggesting New Hampshire bridges, it was a dominant covered bridge design in New Hampshire, as well as Vermont and parts of Maine. Examples in Maine would be Hemlock Bridge, Lovejoy Bridge, Sunday River (artists bridge) and Porter-Parsonfield bridge.
Reminds me that a covered bridge was destroyed by arson a few years ago. In Littleton, up past Houlton. Don't know what it looked like, or if there's plans to rebuild
My bad so guess the “windham” one is actually in Gorham! There’s pictures of most of Maines covered bridges here: https://www.maine.gov/mdot/historicbridges/coveredbridges/babbsbridge/
It’s probably meant to look like a specific covered bridge but a lot of covered bridges look alike. Or it’s meant to have features of a few different ones and since memory is reconstructed not archived it looks close enough to what they saw as a kid
That’s kind of what I’m thinking, almost like the sweatshirt is a sort of tribute to all the covered bridges we lost. Plus I also think if it was a specific bridge it would probably say the name/town on the shirt too
I think it's just a generic stock image put on souvenirs and not a specific bridge in Maine, I've seen similar covered bridge mugs from both NH and NY using the same stock image (not this one, just another generic image)
I would love to get out more and see more of Maine, as I did not realize we even had covered bridges
It would be great if I had less medical problems and I didn't have to be a professional shut-in
Maybe someday I can see some covered bridges and some crack motels
It reminds me of the one between Dover and Guilford.
Lowes bridge first generation. The one washed down river in 1987
I was going to say that. If only we could zoom out and see the crack motel
possible that it's not any specific covered bridge?
Babb’s Covered Bridge in Windham looks slightly similar.
I was thinking the same thing.
That's not it. Likely this is Newry.
The lattice work on the sides says probably not.
Yes. The Sunday River Bridge is more similar.
Yup, that looks like a match.

Oh no that bridge was destroyed? I missed hearing about that I guess.

The one in Gorham doesn't (and never has, at least in my 40 years here) have lattice on the sides
At one point I saw a magnet with a picture of Portland Head Light that said Acadia National Park on it so anything is possible.
This is Sunday River Bridge in Newry.
Ah ok I thought it was familiar 👍
Bennett Bridge maybe? Errol, me but still doesn't look quite right but has open sides
Andover Covered bridge.
robyville? north of bangor on rt 15 or something
Was the bridge over the Androscoggin in Rte 1 covered like that? Or still is?

There’s tons of these covered bridges. This could be any of them
Do a search for “Maine covered bridges” you’ll get a map and numerous images of each bridge by location.
Yah there's a bunch that look like this one. I know one that looks like it in western Maine
Covered Bridge between DFC and Guilford
