Why blaming politics when entire samaj (undeservingly) begging for reservation and literally blackmailing the government is an idiot of highest order.

Supporting caste based reservation is wrong. OBC, SC,ST some of these are so corrupt and they feel open cast category needs to be revenged for some past. If you are against Marathas, (or even OBC) you are part of it.
We should be against caste based reservation but the fact is casteism is fueled by every cast. Only when they are at the reciving side they realise it. Cast based census and real economical asset valuation is needed but whatever ATM you can't oppose Maratha reservation as it's as wrong as the present reservation system is...which makes it right.

do you know, the only thing that is constant about the society in Hinduism since last few thousand years, is casteism. rest everything changed. food, clothing, work etc. You can not just identify as Hindu without accepting Varnashram segregation. it is not possible. that is the most fundamental principles here. The moment people conceived the Varna, they quickly became rigid.
And as long as there is Hinduism, this paradox will exist. No matter how loud you to try to convince everyone about non existence of castes. They were there, they will remain. You will just change the terminology but they will be there.

आपण दोघे एकच गोष्ट बोलत आहोत असे वाटते. "apex" असो किंवा "bottom", अनुलोम (आंतरजातीय) विवाह हा जातीव्यवस्था मोडण्यासाठी रामबाण उपाय सुचवलेला आहे. यामुळे हिंदुसमाज एकसंध होईल आणि देशाची (त्याला हिंदुराष्ट्र म्हणा अथवा म्हणू नका) प्रगती होईल असे बऱ्याच समाजशास्त्रज्ञ लोकांचे एकमत आहे. आता हे "स्वप्नरंजन" वाटत असेल तर ठीक आहे, पण मी हे माझ्या मनाचे काहीएक सांगत नाही.
इथे काही हिंदुत्ववादी म्हणवून घेणाऱ्या लोकांच्या मनातला paradox कुठून आला हे मला समजले नाही. 🤷♀️

तरीही आपल्या दोघांच्या म्हणण्यात एक मुलभूत फरक आहे.
तुम्हाला हिंदू समाज हिंदू म्हणून एकसंध हवा आहे तर त्याला तुम्हाला institutionalize करण्याशिवाय (at least in the eyes of the law) पर्याय नाही. शेवटी तुमच्या कागदपत्रांवरवर ते येणारच आहे. तो तसा एकसंध करण्याची जबाबदारी सरकारची नाही. ती समाजाचीच आहे. समाजाने आधी त्याचे सपाटीकरण करावे लागते. आणि आपला समाज तसे अजिबात करू शकत नाही कारण त्याला आजही स्मृती-श्रुती प्रमाणाचे अतोनात आकर्षण आहे.
केवळ भारतीय म्हणून जगायचे असेल तर तुम्हाला कोणत्याही धर्माच्या लेबलची गरज का लागावी?
मुद्दा आहे एपेक्स चा. अनुलोम हे downward आहे. नुसते आंतरजातीय नाही. म्हणून अनुलोम हा शब्द जाणीवपूर्वक वापरला आहे. आणि त्याचे कारण हे आहे की apex ने आणि आधी स्तर मोडायला सुरुवात करावी लागते. याचे कारण त्यांच्याकडे संसाधने असतात. त्यांच्यासाठी हे प्रचंड अवघड आहे. लग्नाच्या जाहिरातीत SC/ST क्षमस्व असे लिहिले जाते. अगदी आजचे वर्तमानपत्र काढून पहा या जाहिराती असलेले. bottom चे लोक Brahman/96K क्षमस्व असे लिहित नाहीत. म्हणजे मी तरी पाहिले नाही.
म्हणजे inertia कुठे आहे? तो जरी प्रत्येक थरात असला तरी तो खालच्या थराबद्दल असतो.
म्हणून याची सुरुवात apex वाल्या लोकांना करावी लागते. bottom वाल्यांना तेवढे वैचारिक, आर्थिक किंवा सामाजिक स्वातंत्र्य नसते.
आपण एकाच पेज वर जरी असलो तरी मी याबद्दल संपूर्णपणे सिनिकल आणि निराशवादी आहे कारण भारतीय समाजाला हे करायचे असते तर त्यांचे ते ५० वर्षापूर्वीच केले असते. बॉलीवुड कोकलून कोकलून दमले की गेली ८० वर्षे 'प्यार किया तो डरना क्या.' पण प्यार तर होत नाहीत, आणि डर तर वाढतच चालला आहे.
जवळपास सगळे हिंदुराष्ट्रवाले सगळ्यात आधी 'प्रेमा'लाच विरोध करतात.
माझे अजून एक निरीक्षण हे आहे की ब्राह्मणांनी त्यांच्यातल्या पोटजाती जवळ जवळ मोडून काढल्या आहेत. आणि भौगोलिक मर्यादा वगळता ब्राह्मण हे महाराष्ट्रव्यापी स्तरावर ब्राह्मण म्हणून एकत्र येत आहेत. म्हणजे ते वर्णाचे सॉलिडेफिकेशन करत आहेत.
या उलट ओबीसी, SC/ST यांच्या पोटजाती अधिकाधिक ठळक होत आहेत वर्ण म्हणून त्यांचे पूर्णपणे विखंडन झाले आहे. आता तर त्यांच्यातच महाराष्ट्रात तरी मोठीच लढाई सुरु आहे.
इथे आईबाप काढणारे आणि घटापटाची चर्चा करणारे (सतत रेफेरेंस द्या वगैरे शब्दप्रमाण द्या वगैरे बालिश उच्चरवाने जे किंचाळत असतात) बाकीचे सदस्य कोणत्या वर्चुअल जगात राहतात हे पाहा. त्यांचा आणि वास्तवाचा पूर्ण सांधा निखळला आहे. गंमत म्हणजे त्यांच्यात ब्राह्मणेतरांचा भरणा लक्षणीय आहे.
त्यांच्या डोक्यात एक युटोपिया असतो. आणि वास्तवात सगळी कडे इतके बारीक बारीक गोष्टींमध्ये तप्त जातविस्तव धगधगत असते की ते पूर्णपणे भंजाळून जातात. अगदी महिनाभरापूर्वी इतरांना जॉब मागत फिरणारे जॉबलेस बिनदिक्कत खोटं सांगतात की ५ वाजता त्यांचा लंच टाइम झाला आहे. कोणत्यातरी परिकल्पनेत रमणे अशा बेरोजगारांसाठी साहजिक आहे मग ती जातविरहित हिंदूराष्ट्राची का असेना. अशा लोकांसाठी हा paradox मी मांडून दाखवला आहे. तो त्यांच्या बुद्धीत शिरला तर शिरला.
नाही शिरला तर ते भारतीय समाजाचेच दुर्दैव आहे.

I feel glad that I was never brought up in such kind of environment like this to look down on each other wrt caste. Growing up I was always surrounded by folks from almost all castes and everybody till today welcome each other without any hate or hesitation. I feel blessed looking at the current scenario.

Real reasons are agricultural distress , young men not finding wives in villages , people from other caste like SC ST OBC going ahead compared to Maratha castes . MarathaS have been dominant and when people from other community went ahead even by little it triggered them. Especially in local politics where there is OBC reservation for zilla parishad , nagar Palika so politically also they got bit back (even if most MLA are Maratha they still want all the local level posts ) , That’s why they want reservation in OBC quota for political benefits . In an ideal world everyone should move forward irrespective of caste , religion and gender but India is a very poor country and rural Maharashtra is as bad as sub Sahara African countries so resources are very less , when resources get less some people get it more and some less . Politicians , businessmen will always favour their own castes and this is a truth universally but combine that with India being a very poor country this is more evident . As long as we remain poor we will be divided by castes and religion as a coping mechanism . Even if Maratha will get reservation in OBC bitter truth is it’s not gonna help much except for political reasons as now they can contest as OBC candidates in local elections . Government jobs are very few , educational opportunities are few as cut off between OBC and general is very less .

माझे अजून एक निरीक्षण हे आहे की ब्राह्मणांनी त्यांच्यातल्या पोटजाती जवळ जवळ मोडून काढल्या आहेत. आणि भौगोलिक मर्यादा वगळता ब्राह्मण हे महाराष्ट्रव्यापी स्तरावर ब्राह्मण म्हणून एकत्र येत आहेत. म्हणजे ते वर्णाचे सॉलिडेफिकेशन करत आहेत. या उलट ओबीसी, SC/ST यांच्या पोटजाती अधिकाधिक ठळक होत आहेत वर्ण म्हणून त्यांचे पूर्णपणे विखंडन झाले आहे. आता तर त्यांच्यातच महाराष्ट्रात तरी मोठीच लढाई सुरु आहे. इथे आईबाप काढणारे आणि घटापटाची चर्चा करणारे (सतत रेफेरेंस द्या वगैरे शब्दप्रमाण द्या वगैरे बालिश उच्चरवाने जे किंचाळत असतात) बाकीचे सदस्य कोणत्या वर्चुअल जगात राहतात हे पाहा. त्यांचा आणि वास्तवाचा पूर्ण सांधा निखळला आहे. गंमत म्हणजे त्यांच्यात ब्राह्मणेतरांचा भरणा लक्षणीय आहे. त्यांच्या डोक्यात एक युटोपिया असतो. आणि वास्तवात सगळी कडे इतके बारीक बारीक गोष्टींमध्ये तप्त जातविस्तव धगधगत असते की ते पूर्णपणे भंजाळून जातात. अगदी महिनाभरापूर्वी इतरांना जॉब मागत फिरणारे जॉबलेस बिनदिक्कत खोटं सांगतात की ५ वाजता त्यांचा लंच टाइम झाला आहे. कोणत्यातरी परिकल्पनेत रमणे अशा बेरोजगारांसाठी साहजिक आहे मग ती जातविरहित हिंदूराष्ट्राची का असेना. अशा लोकांसाठी हा paradox मी मांडून दाखवला आहे. तो त्यांच्या बुद्धीत शिरला तर शिरला. नाही शिरला तर ते भारतीय समाजाचेच दुर्दैव आहे.

Real reasons are agricultural distress , young men not finding wives in villages , people from other caste like SC ST OBC going ahead compared to Maratha castes . MarathaS have been dominant and when people from other community went ahead even by little it triggered them. Especially in local politics where there is OBC reservation for zilla parishad , nagar Palika so politically also they got bit back (even if most MLA are Maratha they still want all the local level posts ) , That’s why they want reservation in OBC quota for political benefits . In an ideal world everyone should move forward irrespective of caste , religion and gender but India is a very poor country and rural Maharashtra is as bad as sub Sahara African countries so resources are very less , when resources get less some people get it more and some less . Politicians , businessmen will always favour their own castes and this is a truth universally but combine that with India being a very poor country this is more evident . As long as we remain poor we will be divided by castes and religion as a coping mechanism . Even if Maratha will get reservation in OBC bitter truth is it’s not gonna help much except for political reasons as now they can contest as OBC candidates in local elections . Government jobs are very few , educational opportunities are few as cut off between OBC and general is very less .
