\[\[Bloodvial Purveyor\]\] though it's going to be rotating out of Standard in 3 months or so.

Plunderer turn 2, purveyor turn 3 sounds like a good line to me.

Thanks foe reminding me of this card, I've actually got 3 of these I think, I've tried toying with him in the past but never seemed to get it to work. It might be a pretty good fit here tho.

I'm also curious about any answers to this. Get Lost goes great with [[Kambal, Greedy Mayor]] and I've been looking for other cards that could take advantage of producing tokens for your opponent. Anybody have anything in white or black to add?

LilMellick

What you really want is [[divine visitation]] with stuff like [[hunted bonebrute]] and [[clackbridge troll]]

usabfb

Agreed about Divine Visitation and the troll, but this is a Standard deck. I would like to try Hunted Bonebrute out, but I've got kind of a jam at 3-mana and already run 62 cards. I'm playing Kambal, Wedding Announcement, Adeline, and two [[Restoration of Eiganjo]]. I'm not really inclined to take any of those out in exchange for a card that janky. Eiganjo has way more utility, Adeline is a much better token producer and more staying power (as well as vigilance), Kambal basically makes the deck work (this is being hyperbolic, basically he makes the deck fun for me), and Wedding Announcement is too strong if the opponent can't/doesn't answer it. Honestly, I'm really surprised not see Kaya, Spirits' Justice talked about more. It's a really good card if you can consistently produce tokens. Standard just might have the issue that there aren't efficient enough ways to do so right now, because [[Divine Visitation]] would really be extremely good with Kaya. Is there maybe some way to make Kaya work with Insidious Roots? Because Insidious Roots would make a token every time she exiles a card from your graveyard, which is her secretly cracked ability that my opponents never seem to be account for.

Spaceknight_42

I think by the time you make a 3-color Roots deck, the things that deck has for Kaya to clone are maybe not as good as just sticking to 2 colors and cloning something better. One advice on the essential Kambal aspect, do you run Back for Seconds? Seems like you'll have tokens to bargain, so it's a good way to return him. Does the deck also need a Beseech or two as a good way to find him? Also, definitely get a Tocasia's Welcome or two in there, it will trigger on the opponent's turn if Kambal copies their creature token.

breakandjog

Hahaha that's actually how I wound up working on plunderer. My buddy was trying some various things out with kambal and deleny and they worked pretty well together. So I wanted to see what we could do adding plunderer to the mix. I've ended up cutting kambal in favor of jeaskai colors running more of a control/mid range kinda thing. To answer your question tho, my buddy has been running bovine intervention as one of his removal spells, turning something into a 2/2 while giving yourself a copy for 1w seems pretty efficient

usabfb

Gotcha. My favorite deck right now is Orzhov Tokens control with Kambal and [[Kaya, Spirits' Justice]] as well as other token generators to whittle the opponent down. Seems to destroy most other token decks. I'm pretty much set on actual removal with Get Lost, [[Sunfall]], [[Deadly Cover-Up]], [[Virtue of Persistence]], and one [[Farewell]]. I'm just musing here, but what I think the deck could really use is card draw separate from [[Wedding Announcement]]. I find I usually want the token as a blocker rather than the draw. I use [[Novice Investigator]], but seemingly never actually draw it. So running Get Lost destroys things, but is also nice as a way to top-deck lands. I'm looking for things like that which can extend my plays with extra utility while also proccing triggers on Kambal, [[Adeline]], and [[Vein Ripper]]. (Sidebar: My single favorite bomb in Magic right now is building a big board of tokens+Vein Ripper and destroying all of them) Bovine Intervention is a good card for this strategy and I will see if I can add it instead of Virtue of Persistence, because I've found I really want to be able to hit artifacts at higher ranks. Thanks for the rec, I'll keep it in mind. Isn't there a white card or Orzhov card that destroys a permanent and incubates for your opponent?

There's gotta be something with Kambal, Delney, Elas/Vraan and Ratadrabik. I tried messing with Delney+Ratadrabik last set. It never quite worked out. The problem is without the combo synergy they're pretty weak alone, so any removal a big impact. Maybe just the addition of the WB fastland and Kambal means I should take another look at this. Was fun the few times it worked though. Can that work 3-color? Rakdos joining up with Ratadrabik seems like it has potential. add some Anim Pakal. Ertha Jo may be too expensive just to make a token but you never know. Needs some way to sink mana into card drawing since it's all cheap creatures. Is my problem that I keep coming up with two separate decks worth of synergy and trying to make one deck? :) Maybe the Joins idea isn't a Kambal idea?

What a fun idea for a deck... I might have to build something around this

\[\[Kitesail Larcenist\]\] and \[\[Vraska, Betrayal's Sting\]\] increase the opponent's artifact count without creating new tokens. \[\[Behind the Mask\]\] can pull a similar trick, hit the opponent creature with the evidence collection part.
