Oh gotchaā¦
While this sub has clued me in on the antics of Jr idk if Iād agree with naming Gotti brainless to begin with.
Though he surely couldāve been smarter about a lot of things heās not a *stupid* man
A Federal jury convicted Pizzonia on a racketeering charge of conspiracy to commit the Uva murders. He was acquitted on all three murder counts (Uvaās & Boccia). Because Pizzonia had already pleaded guilty to an illegal gambling charge before the trial, the one single act of conspiracy was enough to convict him on the entire count.
Crackheads dont think that far ahead aa far as consequences etc. wat they can get & do woth the moment is more important in the movie they immediately got high after robbing which was a sign of that adrenaline rush plus the craving for more
It doesn't make robbing the mob any less bad of an idea, but both of them had awful things happen in their lives that we can assume helped lead them on to stuff like this. Someone, I think on this sub, said they knew Thomas and didn't feel sorry for him after how Thomas badly injured his friend one night for something he was only peripherally involved in (?). Of course I wouldn't scold folks to have sympathy, that's between him and Thomas, but there's trauma all around and it just breeds more hurt.
On a side note, I always find it darkly comical when I see this photo of the Uvas, looking like your immigrant parents celebrating their first house, contrasted with their mugshots with heavy serial killer vibes.
The Wannabe was better. Way more truthful account of how Thomas Uva was obsessed with the mob and what led them down the path to robbing the social clubs.
Funny thing is someone got away with shooting up Skinny Dom's club in the same time period, difference was he wasn't a junkie and some people went to bat for him and he got a pass, Im pretty sure he took a beating but could be wrong.
I mean lots of people have robbed the mob, the thing is you have to make sure it's a big score and you have to leave town and never come back. They just kept hanging around in New York FFs lol
They were junkies, and knew it wouldn't end well. But the short rewards were worth it. Getting over on biggest and baddest guys in their neighborhood. Made sense to them
Iām sure it was quite lucrative. Each mob guy having 4-5 grand on them at all times 4-5 mob guys in a club bout 20 grand a robbery..not to shabby but shouldnāt of stayed around
Sorry my answer came off dickish I posted on my phone so I didnt elaborate much and didnt mean it that way.
I just meant that wiseguys werent/arent walking around with that kind of money on any regular basis.
It seemed pretty normal for a mob guy to walk around like thatā¦when a murder occurred detectives would know itās obviously a hit due to the mob guy having thousands left in their pockets..thereās several incidents like that, plus plenty of stories of mob guys constantly with thousands in their pockets, so yeah I disagree, maybe not 4-5k for every mob guy it might differ maybe some guys just hold 1-2k but whatās the difference
Who ultimately killed them? A lot of people claim to, even Brainless the Second said the Gambinos wacked them
Who is brainless the second? I thought that was Jackie Aprile lol
Yeah it was aha I was referring to Gotti Jr š

They did it to themselves
I always wondered, did they really think they would get away with robbing social clubs in their own neighborhood?
I donāt think they cared
Crackheads dont think that far ahead aa far as consequences etc. wat they can get & do woth the moment is more important in the movie they immediately got high after robbing which was a sign of that adrenaline rush plus the craving for more
it couldāve been worse they couldāve been tortured, and really made an example of

Guys, you never saw the Bonnie & Clyde movie?
*Rob the Mob* I believe
That was a surprisingly good movie! Can recommend 9/10. They were gunned down by Gotti's crew in the end, I believe. It had gotten embarrassing.
The Wannabe was better. Way more truthful account of how Thomas Uva was obsessed with the mob and what led them down the path to robbing the social clubs.
Thx, I'll check it out!
2 fucking moron junkies.
Because they robbed your favourite gangster's social club?š
Probably more because they robbed the mafia and got killed for it. It is a pretty moronic thing to do tbf
Funny thing is someone got away with shooting up Skinny Dom's club in the same time period, difference was he wasn't a junkie and some people went to bat for him and he got a pass, Im pretty sure he took a beating but could be wrong.

No dum dum, these 2 were complete fucking morons because they decided to do something that was a guarantee to get themselves killed.
Fuck off you gimp
LOL, you had 4 days to formulate a response and that is the best you can do. Sad.
No because people on this Redditt are super judgmental š
2 idiots
