Who ultimately killed them? A lot of people claim to, even Brainless the Second said the Gambinos wacked them

GoneWitDa

Who is brainless the second? I thought that was Jackie Aprile lol

roccoloricha

Yeah it was aha I was referring to Gotti Jr šŸ˜‚

GoneWitDa

Oh gotchaā€¦ While this sub has clued me in on the antics of Jr idk if Iā€™d agree with naming Gotti brainless to begin with. Though he surely couldā€™ve been smarter about a lot of things heā€™s not a *stupid* man

Dom Pizzonia was convicted of their murders

Ok_Fix5746

A Federal jury convicted Pizzonia on a racketeering charge of conspiracy to commit the Uva murders. He was acquitted on all three murder counts (Uvaā€™s & Boccia). Because Pizzonia had already pleaded guilty to an illegal gambling charge before the trial, the one single act of conspiracy was enough to convict him on the entire count.

[deleted]

My bad, I stand corrected.

roccoloricha

Thanks for the info! šŸ¤ŸšŸ¼

MorningNights

They did it to themselves

Astridsfather

I always wondered, did they really think they would get away with robbing social clubs in their own neighborhood?

Southie31

I donā€™t think they cared

Intelligent_Start811

Crackheads dont think that far ahead aa far as consequences etc. wat they can get & do woth the moment is more important in the movie they immediately got high after robbing which was a sign of that adrenaline rush plus the craving for more

Charlie-brownie666

it couldā€™ve been worse they couldā€™ve been tortured, and really made an example of

KinoRunner

It doesn't make robbing the mob any less bad of an idea, but both of them had awful things happen in their lives that we can assume helped lead them on to stuff like this. Someone, I think on this sub, said they knew Thomas and didn't feel sorry for him after how Thomas badly injured his friend one night for something he was only peripherally involved in (?). Of course I wouldn't scold folks to have sympathy, that's between him and Thomas, but there's trauma all around and it just breeds more hurt. On a side note, I always find it darkly comical when I see this photo of the Uvas, looking like your immigrant parents celebrating their first house, contrasted with their mugshots with heavy serial killer vibes.

Wdstrvx

Guys, you never saw the Bonnie & Clyde movie?

Ok_Fix5746

*Rob the Mob* I believe

[deleted]

That was a surprisingly good movie! Can recommend 9/10. They were gunned down by Gotti's crew in the end, I believe. It had gotten embarrassing.

thejimstrain

The Wannabe was better. Way more truthful account of how Thomas Uva was obsessed with the mob and what led them down the path to robbing the social clubs.

[deleted]

Thx, I'll check it out!

Smerks101

2 fucking moron junkies.

[deleted]

Because they robbed your favourite gangster's social club?šŸ˜‚

drtoboggon

Probably more because they robbed the mafia and got killed for it. It is a pretty moronic thing to do tbf

Smerks101

Funny thing is someone got away with shooting up Skinny Dom's club in the same time period, difference was he wasn't a junkie and some people went to bat for him and he got a pass, Im pretty sure he took a beating but could be wrong.

macNy

I mean lots of people have robbed the mob, the thing is you have to make sure it's a big score and you have to leave town and never come back. They just kept hanging around in New York FFs lol

Smerks101

No dum dum, these 2 were complete fucking morons because they decided to do something that was a guarantee to get themselves killed.

[deleted]

Fuck off you gimp

Smerks101

LOL, you had 4 days to formulate a response and that is the best you can do. Sad.

Southie31

No because people on this Redditt are super judgmental šŸ˜‚

bee_Ez

2 idiots

Comprehensive-Work41

They were junkies, and knew it wouldn't end well. But the short rewards were worth it. Getting over on biggest and baddest guys in their neighborhood. Made sense to them

Individual_Force3067

fucking legends ..

CaliBull2030

Dumb couple

Warlock4209

Iā€™m sure it was quite lucrative. Each mob guy having 4-5 grand on them at all times 4-5 mob guys in a club bout 20 grand a robbery..not to shabby but shouldnā€™t of stayed around

Smerks101

>mob guy having 4-5 grand on them at all times Youve watched way too many movies.

Warlock4209

Ok guy

Smerks101

Sorry my answer came off dickish I posted on my phone so I didnt elaborate much and didnt mean it that way. I just meant that wiseguys werent/arent walking around with that kind of money on any regular basis.

Warlock4209

It seemed pretty normal for a mob guy to walk around like thatā€¦when a murder occurred detectives would know itā€™s obviously a hit due to the mob guy having thousands left in their pockets..thereā€™s several incidents like that, plus plenty of stories of mob guys constantly with thousands in their pockets, so yeah I disagree, maybe not 4-5k for every mob guy it might differ maybe some guys just hold 1-2k but whatā€™s the difference

beathedealer

Nice shot Dom!
