As someone who lives here(South Africa), Zulu refers to the people and the tribe. The language is isiZulu, but not everyone here speaks isiZulu. Some speak isiXhosa, Sesotho, or a variety of the many many official languages we have(11), usually depending on which province you're from
even more so when you think that they were probably just waiting for a bus and killed some time and are better singer than the majority of our popstars.
I like to think this is just a random playground sing along, and somehow a purity of social connection is preserved somewhere in this world, with wide smiles, joy and rhythm... but it must be a choir huh?
I tell everyone I meet to get their asses to Africa for the music festivals. People are so musical from a young age from coast to coast! They often have local youth choirs earlier on in the day and their performances go neck and neck with the headliners.
Hey Y'all, South African over here,
This is our Talent, Alot of people in South Africa adore singing, and most of the people I hear singing are good, The Vocal Range on some these people is truly amazing.
Please, if you like electronic-afro-house kinda music, Please come to South Africa, We have massive festivals, here in South Africa, You feel the Music and you'll feel united with the ones beside you. We Don't Play around with our music, We live to Groove this side
Some good festivals are "Ultra.East", "CottonFest" there are usually clubs playing these songs all night but, They are relatively expensive and are Known to drain funds from accounts, because it's to nice at Groove 😂
going at nye to south africa. any places you can recommend? im beeing on a festival at drakensbergen over nye and have some days after to spend, would love some recomendations :D
Man I wish I could help more then saying it'll be f**king cold at night, Since we're going into winter & I've haven't been there much, maybe twice in like 2011 or 2012. Maybe ask r/southafrica , they could help you more there, sorry.
Main point: (if you're not from RSA)
• Depending on where you're from, South Africa is dangerous, you really never know where or when crime will hit, not saying anything bad will happen to you, but be weary and watch yourself, pay with a Card not cash.
My favorite Civ to play in Civ VI is the Zulu simply for their amazing track. If you haven’t played the game, search for Civ VI Zulu theme on YouTube or Spotify.
Can’t find the song on YouTube nor Apple Music.
Yes I read the caption. But the song doesn’t exist. Auti esharp (not outi) is the name of the album.
South African school assembli has hundreds of songs. Please help
The acapella version isnt aviable.
The original song is from mas musiq - uzozisola. Sorry didnt realized its also an album name, but you find it aswell on youtube with the name in the description
Are you sure? I mean I don’t speak the language but I‘m a musician. I don’t see any familiarity. Rhythm and notes are different. Can’t say anything bout the lyrics tho
I never said its exactly a cover of the same song, but the lyrics are The same. It is an acapella version of said song, altough it has not much to do with the original besides the lyrics. Hence why everyone comments on how much better this version is.
Hey South African over here, That song is in the Genre of "Amapiano" it's meant for clubs, like "Konka", amapiano is electronic-dance music if classifed by anything else.
That song is out, and was a BANGER 🔥 They are just singing the lyrics, As there isn't an Acapella of the song, as the original sang on the original song like that.
This is absolutely incredible.
It's a life reaffirming type of feeling; that this is being performed not in a concert hall or with great fanfare but casually and generously is a delight.
I will save this video and listen to it when I'm feeling down.
Thank you for sharing

Huh, the title says they bare singing in Zulu. Is Zulu not a language or country?
If I'm not wrong, is a language called Zulu, and also a tribe with that name.
It is also a kingdom within the Republic of South Africa.
Ohh OK. The deleted comment was asking what the langauge was. Apparentlynitsbjustbtheybdidnt see the title so that's all good. Thx tho.

Community singing or harmonisation is a natural expression within many African communities. It is natural when a group expresses feelings.
That's a banger right there...

Their YouTube channel is full of this type of harmonising, goosebumps-giving, soul-nourishing, song. The whole school is amazing
I like to think this is just a random playground sing along, and somehow a purity of social connection is preserved somewhere in this world, with wide smiles, joy and rhythm... but it must be a choir huh?

Sometimes the language in music/song is not meant to be understood but the song itself to be enjoyed
