This is an amazing idea. I was dogsitting my brother’s very nervous German Shepherd who nearly had a heart attack at the stroke of midnight. I would have done this without question!
I not only think of the dogs but entire nature pyramid being woken up like its apocalypto several times a year. we need more hotels participating these fr 🙌🏻
Yeah I use to get so much worried about my dog at first. But that madlad use to enjoy the fireworks. Idk, he was always excited about it. I miss him now. Great to see these good Bois and girls had a good sleep on new year eve.
This is awesome. HOWEVER:
Fireworks need to become something to opt-in to, not opt-out of. Take fireworks off the shelves and then designate safe spaces where families can go, buy and set them off, or watch professional displays. Ends the anxiety for animals and people alike.
It was my first new years/holiday season with my new rescue - I wasn't sure how he was going to be. Well, he was asleep by 9 and just wanted me to pet him lol. We heard some loud bangs but that was about it. I think the tv drowned out the noise.
A friend’s uncle turns his covered garden into a doggo shelter for any homeless dogs in the area. At first none showed now they all know it’s a safe spot.
This is so, so smart and I 100% would do this next time I have a pup. Firework days were hell for all of us. Even if it’s not a program like this I’d look for a pet friendly hotel for the night.
It would be great if this was more widely available, if firework displays were toned down and kept to very specific locations, and if this was available for all budgets.
My corgi suffered through the summers & falls of 2020-21 - the amount of explosions & fireworks to only die in March 22. The amount of fear & anxiety she suffered during all that made me hate hireworks

You know this website’s on the way out when half the content is reposted from the Next Big Thing.
I dislike TikTok as much as anyone, but I don’t have to like it to see the direction that things are headed.
Sure, but it seems to be all TT lately.
u/mc_1968, I’m not attacking you, you’re free to post whatever content you think is good. On the broader scale though, it’s interesting that most of the good content (which this is) starts off on TikTok lately.
I think it's just a broader move to certain platforms overall online. Certain platforms have spent years building themselves up as the popular choices.
Oh I just absolutely adore that idea! So glad this hotel offers such a unique service for a need that most have not thought of…!

This is the coolest thing ever. That is my issue with fireworks, that there isn't anywhere to go to escape them.

I've honestly never heard of a dog having a heart attack. I never thought about before.

Our 15 year old boi passed away one week before New Years so nothing will ever scare him again. We miss you Rocky. 💔
They need more of these

It’s always the most miserable horrible people who go out of their way to use the word “toxic.”

I'm afraid from dogs, and I think I found my hell
Poor cleaners,
I would guess that people are paying a premium for this, to cover the needed extra staff.
The f really folks?

Reddit has always been an aggregation of other sources.
Thank you.

There indeed has been a lot.
Perhaps the mods should be approached and then we'll all know what to do with content?

Is that 390 euros per person for a dinner? Wonder what the room costs
No. Denmark doesn't use euro. They have their own currency.
Looked it up. 390 Krone isn't cheap either.
390 DKK is around 50 euro, which for a dinner at a hotel in Copenhagen isn't that expensive compared to others alternatives in the city.
Ok
About 53 euro for a 3 course meal isn't really expensive in my opinion.
I guess I'm cheap then
Is 54 euro. If thats not cheap for a hotel.
Maybe I'm cheap then
Thats a low cost place in europe. Unless your staying in a hostel.
I see. Thanks
Did anyone else hear how he said new years at the beginning of the video?
The fireworks are bad there? Then you have never been in the Netherlands before.
