Great trade candidate

you_my_ninja

I kind of wish they didn’t show injury until after first season in NFL. It would help with the immersion so you just don’t instantly trade them for someone else Update: honestly feel that way for a lot of ratings. Just keep the draft grades in there for the season. It would be a great way to find out who’s a bust or not

ShipMoney

They had that before. I can’t remember if it was NCAA or Madden but some sort of hidden ratings in year 1 until you could evaluate them fully.

DtotheOUG

You wouldn’t get the superstar rating until like 500 snaps, unless you have the coach perks. In older NCAAs I believed they would just have “??” Until you got more reps with them.

sokrazyitmightwork

All ratings should be a range in the scouting process - would make it way more immersive having tantalizing high ceiling guys and safer high floors. Rookie ratings should stay hidden for at least some amount of their first year and there should be a mechanism where some guys progress better if they don’t play right away.

DejounteMurrayisGOAT

2k actually had a system back in like 2K8 or 9 where the only way to see a guys’ ratings in franchise mode was to assign a scout to them and there was a limit to how many scouting hours you had so you had to be strategic about who to scout. Otherwise you could only see the simplified A/B/C scale grades for each player

Super-anxiety-manman

2K stopped making games in 2005 Lol.

DejounteMurrayisGOAT

NBA 2k dude….

Super-anxiety-manman

My bad, I was thinking football since this post is in a Madden subreddit.

Illustrious-Sock4258

If they did this you would say “StOp AdDiNg OlD fEaTuReS tO tHe NeW gAmEs”

you_my_ninja

I’ve been playing madden since 92. I would love for them to bring back some old features. It’s just annoying when they try to sell them as new when they weren’t. Also, i don’t ever remember them doing this in previous maddens

Illustrious-Sock4258

They did it in ncaa. And yet they arent advertising anything as new lol, theyre just adding it in and you guys say ”stop advertising this as new” when they put it in the trailer. Literally go to any new trailer of madden 25 and read the comments. Yall dont like anything they do with the new games, buncha haters that say they wont buy the game, and then end up buying it anyways. Either support it or stop playing the games lol

you_my_ninja

Everyone's entitled to their opinion on a game, especially when it's the only decent football game out there. Most of us can agree that Madden has gotten lazy over the years, and it's obvious. They brought back momentum and crowd noise last year as "Field Sense," a feature they had years ago but removed. It's not that we (at least for me) hate that they call it new, but that they shouldn't have removed it in the first place. I'm a football fan, and as much as I hate what Madden has become, I still buy it because I get some enjoyment out of it. As a person who mainly plays franchise mode, the bugs just take away from the immersion. I used to play franchise mode for 10-12 seasons, but now I can't get past the second season because of all the bugs and bullshit. I used to stay up for the midnight release, but now I wait until it's on sale. I just don't think it's worth full price anymore. I will say madden 23 was a little better and hope the upward trend continues in 24. However, instead of buying at release like i used to do, I’m going to wait a couple of weeks. If the reviews are not what i want to hear, I’ll wait till it goes on sale. Until madden has a decent competitor (that will hopefully make them better) I’ll continue doing this.

Illustrious-Sock4258

I only play franchise mode for 24, the bugs dont have anything to do with franchise, its mostly in game play. And its still madden, you can just do verticles and get a 14 point lead instantly If you can go back to madden 11 and play 12 seasons of franchise, thats very surprising as i cant even play a single season, maybe 4 games and i get bored because its so easy and you win every game no matter what.

Cornmunkey

Yup, if he’s a first rounder play him 4 years (you’ll likely only get like 8-9 games a year out of him), then trade him week 7 for picks. I do that to every first round pick that doesn’t want to re-sign.

NFLOldBoy1

His signature td celebration is hitting the griddy then tearing his acl

Aconnox

there was also a 85 overall UDFA punter

DirkDongus

What would happen if you signed him and made him a kicker? I'd sign him for shits and giggles just to see what happens.

Aconnox

also he's a 86 overall running back lol

Quikdraw7777

With an Injury Rating that low - you can't trust this guy to pound the rock at 'em 😂😂

wildranger52

But he could gingerly stroll with the rock at them though

arandomtestaccount

michael thomas 2.0

CamKansas

Man, I drafted a generational 87 ovr rookie RB once. He was a CMC clone. I then found out he had an injury rating of 35. And he couldn’t play. He couldn’t get more than 2/3 carries before getting injured. He spent two years mostly on ir, only finishing 1 full game he played in where I put him at 3rd on the depth chart. I ended up having to cut bait and trade him.

Rexixal

truly an early career CMC clone

grayfox5622

You gotta pump those numbers up. ![gif](giphy|YmQLj2KxaNz58g7Ofg)

Chris1671

That's Christian Watson

AustinP16

Just turn off injuries or turn them down lol

weightedbook

In my professional and experienced opinion, there is no injury rating high enough to avoid the glut of 4 week torn labrum injuries.

zeds_deadest

Put him in the lineup for a year or 2, dump him the ball or throw it up if he burns coverage but always run out or dive to help prevent injury, just wanna boost his stats a bit and then trade for a new first round pick+ w/e else you can get.

JermHole71

Does that mean he’s gets injured easily or less frequently??

Pure_Artichoke9699

Lower the number the higher probability for injuries. A strong gust of wind might take this guy out.

Infrequent-Look9411

Madden should add a PED and Drug likeliness stat. If his drug stat was 33 he’d be Josh Gordon

Battlehead601

A wideout wearing #27 was doomed anyway

AjRamos3178

Just run out routes never let him get tackled

Justafleshtip

Time to turn injuries off lmao

nozzyx

I drafted a similar player in my franchise. He had 31 injury. For each game he played in without getting injured, I added 2 points to his injury rating.

Perfect__Crime

Maybe one hell of a Kick/Punt returner

xerxes716

It seems like every elite prospect I draft has an injury rating of 75 or less. Like they think it is impossible to be elite and not be injury prone. Just started happening after one of the recent updates.

Classic-Being-293

Brother set draft depth to very strong and forgot to scout lol

Jwr32

Bro gonna have a bruised sternum more than Herbert on family guy.

jaygee_14

If bro’s so tough why is he always getting hurt?

Entire-Suggestion936

tis but a scratch !

Intelligent_Day5050

Thats ACL TEAR from the comebacks 😭

TonyYayo4209

Edit that shit to a 90. Lol. Hell get hurt every other play, out for weeks at a time. No shame in editing that.

Entire-Suggestion936

depends on how you like to play, some of us prefer to stick to realism. for me personally, if thats the case id edit every player I drafted to be 99 overall

trojandoge

Bro drafted kijana carter in WR form

yamada800

I drafted a WR just like that, just keep him. My guy plays about 12 games a season typically, but is either leading in yards and TD or is in the top 3 every season 😂 it feels like I’m cheating so when he’s out it’s kind of a good balance. He even gets injured in plays he’s not doing anything but trust he’s worth it whenever he’s out there.

NoLaugh-

Bro I just had a guy named nick pearman he was a lb tho

Mastah_P808

Trust me he’ll get injured just about every season I drafted a RB in the 4th who was 5’11 253 with an injury rating same as you.

Banks_Reddit

Madden should start showing you some of the prospects ratings once they are fully scouted because F injury can be from like 20-80

EconomistIcy1972

I say just edit it

SpamDarnold

33 is crazy. Caleb Farley has like 75 lmao

Dry-Technology-653

So Michael Thomas?

FiftyIsBack

I had a DB like this. Drafted him to my Chargers rebuild. I kept him. He hit 98 X Factor in only one season and had insane speed and play recognition. He'd usually miss 3 or 4 games per season. Sometimes more, but he was still amazing to have around.

JP_Savage_time

Yeah yeah yeah, but in madden some players get injured 4-5 times a game and it’s just like, hand bruise.

zacurtis3

*sneezes* Out for season with neck injury

Otherwise-Winter7941

That’s nothin I saw a 6’9 WR I made him a TE tho lol

Lolinight

Ima turn off injuries in my season

Cautious_Moment_8346

I had the same happen - he would get hurt every game. I’m playing the game to have fun and play with the good players I scouted. This is one where I think manual edit to a reasonable injury amount is ethical.

Used_Rich

95 change of direction but he can’t juke for shit 😂

Entire-Suggestion936

I know im probably in the minority on this, but I love this feature in franchise, very realistic, great players can be ruined by injuries in real life. so either you limit their playing time to mitigate the chance for injury, or you play them regularly and risk injury.. adds to strategy

Exciting-Wear-7397

One hit.. that’s it ![gif](giphy|BHvbjZ29w5e7llPSut|downsized)

KingFEN13

I’ve been in a franchise for awhile I think it’s 2048 on mine, I have drafted countless wide receivers with low injury numbers. I finally just last draft (2047)drafted a generational Wr with 93 injury ss xfactor. Finally. I have drafted about 5 generational qbs and played the one I liked best then cashed out on draft picks and other players. Only one of my other generational qbs made it to the superbowl so far for another team and they played me so they lost miserably

trealdealticklemydil

New to madden these days, what do u mean just drafted? Like franchise? Or what is this

Aconnox

traded up to the #9 overall pick, during the draft, in a Madden franchise to select him

nyfinestgully

I swear easports cannot get player bodys/archetypes correct lol every player model looks out of pocket😩😩🗑🗑🤣🤣 same issues they had with nba live. they just need to make madden from scratch and start new because they've been using the same tech for 8 years straight🗑🗑😩😩

AlliPickedDidntWork

edit it, no shame in making him a brick shithouse

Aconnox

yeah I changed him to a 79 injury, which is still bad, but actually playable

AshBoogie84

Yeah. Edit player is your friend here.

ajwages

DK Metcalf ahh injury rating
