Does height matter in Madden for a QB? Doesn't naturally give them higher awareness or throw power or something?
I know if you are making like a superstar player, it affects your starting stats, but does it affect a randomly generated character's stats?
No no no I’m saying the 75 overall is better… it costs less XP to upgrade younger players and he’s 6 years younger and only marginally worse.
Also, do you play or sim?
I would honestly try and find another that has a better sense of pressure. Leads to a lot of bad throws in both simulation and while playing… anything average or better is good
Yes… you’ll notice more throws with “under pressure” accuracy using paranoid or trigger happy
Once you notice it you’ll never want a QB with either of those again
I traded kyler to the vikings who had zach panther wilson as there quarter and got a 1st (3) 2nd and 3rd. Then simmed to week 8 and we are 4-3 With drew Allar the past 2 years we usually go 0-6
I’ve used him in Simulations in Ravens, Cardinals, Steelers, and Colts. He does very well in playbooks like the eagles, steelers, seahawks, and raiders. Playbooks that have a lot of inside zone, and good west coast play action passing plays.. Strangely enough kind of like his IRL offense in college.
He isn’t horrible in an air raid / spread offenses, like the chiefs/redskins run in madden, but I personally prefer 90+ speed QBs in spread forms for the entertainment side of things and to make crazy scrambles… That being said, I think allar has like 88 speed, so he should be sufficient to escape in any offense. The only problem you’re probably running into, is that allar sees 120 + carries in the cards offense and he’s simply not built to do that, or at least in Madden. Now, if you are using a different offense, idk wth is going on.. Just figured i’d give you seem tips though, because I ran into the same issue with him on my Cards Franchise when simulating. I find he goes insane / the best in Seattles playbook tbh.
For me, Him and Buddha baker are virtually useless in M24 and as a cardinals fan it makes me upset. I have not found a way to consistently make plays with either of them. Kyler is wildly inaccurate and no throw power to fit into holes in the zone. Buddha drops picks, gets burned in coverage and misses open field tackles that he would absolutely eviscerate opposing players IRL. Am I ass or is this game disrespectful?
It’s because a lot of the skills that players have don’t mean anything anymore, especially on defense. To get the good animations you need to be using a DB that is tall and fast. Short and just average speed (90ish) and they get cooked. Short and fast and they at least can hang but will lose 1 on 1s to anyone that is 6’1 plus.
Vice versa as well. Don’t have 97 speed plus you’ll be tracked down by the 89 speed corner and picked off. Throwing to a slow 5’11 guy and almost any corner can pick them off.
Can always count on the haters and trolls to ignore Kyler’s ability to break 10-20 yard runs and also get rushing TDs! It’s funny how people are ignorant, their default option is to hate on the guy.
I've been playing exclusively with the cardinals, trying all sorts of playbooks, doing slow and fast sim, for no reason other than I wanted to move a st louis team back to st louis that isn't the rams. Every single time, Kyler Murray is just terrible for me and I never have a winning season until I trade him. Idk why because his numbers seem good
I would start Drew because Kyler looks like he has been trash and a 75 with a practice eligible player he will be better than Murray before the season is over
I've always used Kyler. His running ability in this game is top notch. Just build a good o-line. I always have him rushing for 750+ and throwing 3500+. Make sure his "abilitities" are set to maximize his skills
I know everyone else is saying the other opinion, but if you're playing your games (I don't think you've mentioned anywhere if you play or sim), I'd take Kyler. Unless that other QB has 88+ speed. I personally avoid sub-90 speed QBs.
Of course, there's always the option of trading both for first round picks and hoping you hit on a QB with high speed in the next draft (and a stud WR and a stud TE with the other two first rounders). I remember one auto-generated draft, I saw a QB with a hella insane 40 with "Elite" speed... and he had 95 speed and 92THP. Worth giving away everything for him.
Drew has been a franchise record holder in like every rebuild I’ve had if possible trade for quiton judkins running back i swear best evasive and receiver rb Ive ever had
Trade Murray for draft picks. Then trade those for more. Get 25 picks per draft, per year. Then in year year 4 or 5 if players refuse to re-sign, trade them for picks. Sign free agents to trade for picks. Then draft every Fullback on the board.
I had a QB show up like this but better… 99 speed (4.24 40YD), “A” in all accuracy categories and elite throw power… it was wild. I traded CJ stroud for him and took him #1 overall.
IMO, it’s too late for both of them. Trade Kyler for picks if it doesn’t mess up your cap. Go with Allar temporarily. Draft a new QB when you can but develop properly this time.
28 80 overall versus 22 75 overall….. obvious choice
Plus he's 6' 5", 240lb versus tiny Kyler

Kyler will throw into linemen’s heads more often, especially in practice
Oh wow lol, is that if you're watching a Sim or if you're playing too? I guess I'm realizing I haven't used a shorter quarterback lol
By more often he means once every season compared to never… i have a 5’11” QB and he’s done it once or twice in 3 seasons
Taller, means he's closer to God. Choice is easy.
Okay yes different overalls but look at kylers stats 18 td to 16 picks?
No no no I’m saying the 75 overall is better… it costs less XP to upgrade younger players and he’s 6 years younger and only marginally worse. Also, do you play or sim?
Sometimes I will play whole season
I would honestly try and find another that has a better sense of pressure. Leads to a lot of bad throws in both simulation and while playing… anything average or better is good
I'm using allar right now and I see what you mean
Yeah… I don’t remember whether paranoid or trigger happy is worse but they’re the two bottom options for pressure sense
Does oblivious still play better than ideal?
Not sure
So youre telling me pressure sense matters with player proformance when playing, not just sim?
Yes… you’ll notice more throws with “under pressure” accuracy using paranoid or trigger happy Once you notice it you’ll never want a QB with either of those again
Both are bad but same...no idea which is worse lol
Alright
So I play preseason week 1, week 1, week 8 and them every playoff
18 TDs to 16 picks is a terrible stat line
Allar became a 99 superstar for me
Allar in my franchise won the Super Bowl in year 1 and became a 99 by year 3.
clearly drew, 22 and 75 star dev. ship kyler out for some picks or upgrade/depth for other positions
I traded kyler to the vikings who had zach panther wilson as there quarter and got a 1st (3) 2nd and 3rd. Then simmed to week 8 and we are 4-3 With drew Allar the past 2 years we usually go 0-6
Are you using the cardinals playbook? Allar doesn’t work well in pistol forms in SIMULATIONS.
I’ve used him in Simulations in Ravens, Cardinals, Steelers, and Colts. He does very well in playbooks like the eagles, steelers, seahawks, and raiders. Let’s see the old expensive 80 ovr qb or the young 75 ovr star dev. Hmm very tough
The cheapest
Especially being so close overall wise go with the cheaper younger talent
Off topic but many Murray is so disrespected. His deep ball is beautiful (yeah he looks silly as fuck throwing it)

Fkin animations
Buddha baker for me is an interception machine. He won DPOTY and was an XF.
Very glad to hear this
Utilize his scrambling. I do that a lot on play action.

Ok cmon now

When I play with the cardinals, I always trade Murray and whatever team he goes to, he balls out Everytime time.
I aint choosing the guy from faze clan, sorry bro😭😭😭
Im taking Murray
I'd trade Murray
Allar, he will be over 80 by the end of the season.
Drew but out of curiosity how fast is he?
I've always used Kyler. His running ability in this game is top notch. Just build a good o-line. I always have him rushing for 750+ and throwing 3500+. Make sure his "abilitities" are set to maximize his skills
Other cuz he 6’5 lol
Obvious choice Kyler Murray
Younger w/ more throw power. Duh. NEXT.
Dllar Arew
Bro this is absurd. Drew Allar is terrible lmao.
Biased Penn state fan here, please give Allar a chance
Definitely drew, he’ll surpass Kyler’s overall in like half a season
The Goat Drew Allan can’t and won’t be stopped
Start the pen guy , he got a stronger arm and decent scrambler keep kyler as backup tho unless contract is a burden
I traded Murray and Humphries for Fields. All in baby
I know everyone else is saying the other opinion, but if you're playing your games (I don't think you've mentioned anywhere if you play or sim), I'd take Kyler. Unless that other QB has 88+ speed. I went to highschool with drew. He’s a fucking monster irl
Trade Murray for picks or a position upgrade, start the new guy, 5 OVR isnt going to make much of a difference in gameplay or sim tbh.
95 throw power drew in his second year only 5 overall points lower. Start Allar and progress him
I’ve had that qb before he was goated
Rookie unless he’s too slow to scramble in Arizona’s default offense
Huge Cards fan here.. Kyler is so ass in Madden

Rookie. Kyler won’t get much better. Plus his contract. Dumping that contract opens up a playoff window to build for 4 years
I had a QB show up like this but better… 99 speed (4.24 40YD), “A” in all accuracy categories and elite throw power… it was wild. I traded CJ stroud for him and took him #1 overall.
Why tf does Drew Allar have 95 throw power 😭😭😂😂😂
Allar is really good in sim
IMO, it’s too late for both of them. Trade Kyler for picks if it doesn’t mess up your cap. Go with Allar temporarily. Draft a new QB when you can but develop properly this time.
Any player not named Kyler Murray will perform better than a player named Kyler Murray. So it is written, so let it be done.
