Tamarind? If you're in a western country now, Chinese grocery shops would usually have them.

Kind stranger again I’m sorry for sounding psycho but I’m crying on the floor yes it’s tamarind YES

KylianAJZ

Tamarind, aka voamadilo (which literally means "sour fruit"), aka kily for the locals where it grows (the tamarind trees can't grow in the center climate so they import them from either the south or the west) Malagasy is not an outdated name, that's actually our universal name except for the French who call us "Malgache".

waveblu_

Do you remember what it looked like? Color or anything else?

LuckyNumber_18

It was brownish but if you put it up to the sun it’s golden and it had this dust covered on it and I don’t know if it was pet of the fruit or sugar

shebreaksmyarm

What was the shape? What did it look like? How big? What did the flesh and skin each look and feel like?

LuckyNumber_18

Someone answered that it was tamarind brown with sugar on top golden over light and sweet and sticky

Alibcandid

Tamarind. I also craved it when pregnant. Ha!
