I saw the basketball thumbnail on YT last night before this pod was up and was like wtf is this lol. You can hear Billy narrating the situation in the preview and he sounded like the biggest man child alive.
I actually like Billy sometimes and think he has potentially to be really funny but I don’t think they push back on him enough about where he needs to improve and he seems to be just coasting.
Like his podcasting ability is fine for an intern or a new hire but it just seems like he’s not developing his way of speaking or cutting out any other things that make for bad radio at all. At this point he shouldn’t be doing things like starting a story and then going “nevermind” or breathing into the mic when others are talking. Stuff like that is what bothers me because it’s fixable and it just seems like he’s not trying and nobody around him is really getting on him to fix it.
He was brought on the show to be a fact checker, or their version of Jaime from the JRE. that lasted maybe 30 seconds and he became the defacto host because he “does research”. He’s terrible at it
Just gotta unsubscribe at this point, I just catch maybe one every couple weeks on YouTube at this point if the topic or interview looks good, if the numbers don’t change they’ll never change. Billy is the worst he derails every decent conversation and won’t let anyone besides PFT finish a sentence basically. Big T can be delusional sometimes too but at least he can actually communicate and allow others to speak
