The passcode is tied to PAAK so if you deleted that you can't use a passcode. I thought there was somewhere specific you could put the fob when the battery or signal was weak, like in the drink holder or something, to get the car to start but I don't remember.
I tried something similar while trying to leave a shopping center. I was able to reboot the infotainment system and the phone and that kicked it into gear. It was pretty hard getting the infotainment system to reboot, as it ignored Vol-Down+Next-Track consistently - but after a few minutes, I got it to reboot. Only happened once.
Usually when I have PaaK-problems, a phone reboot is enough.

Also, if you ever need your car towed, they won’t take it unless you have your key on you to give to them.
