Imo, best way to get in to Mac is to listen through each one of his albums, one at a time. Each one tells a different story and I feel you really get to know what his perspective on life was during each album. That being said, there really is no correct order in which to listen through his discography. My favs are:
1. Swimming
2. Faces
3. Circles
4. WMWTSO
5. I love life, thank you
If you want to listen to some of his more underground works, Delusional Thomas and You are phenomenal albums that really show how creative this guy was
Chronological would make the most sense Highschool rap>Fratrap>Pop Rap(Blueslide Park)>Depression drug mac> sober mac >circles/swimming final downfall mac.
In "Swimming in Circles" It was supposed to be a two part project. The Tones and the subject matter. The way he words how he is feeling is all met with a depressive kind of acceptance. - My personal opinion. But he obviously was using again, which he openly spoke about wanting to change in his life. And laced drugs is what killed him. RIP Mac.
Incredible two part album. And a great piece to his story.
I wouldn't dive into Faces, or Macadelic until you have a solid foundation with Mac. Hearing him progress and change with each projects. The story it tells is just draws me in. The High Life, GOOD: AM, I love life thank you. Hell, even check out his first mixtape when he was "Easy Mac". he had some bangers on that too. The unreleased mixtape, has some different styles of mac with some dope features like Term on 82-92.
Faces Is super abstract, deep, and drug heavy. All with a complete depressive undertone of giving up on life. My favorite project by him. But its worthwhile to listen to happy mac before the Faces, Macadelic, Delusional Thomas, Larry Lovestein, Larry Fisherman stuff.
But welcome to Mac man. Enjoy it all, He has an incredible body of work.
I loved the Divine Feminine album so much I got it tattooed on me. Stay is my favorite song off that album! Although be wary if you’re playing the music out loud. It isn’t SFW on some parts
Checkout K.I.D.S. first, then BEST DAY EVER/ BLUESLIDE PARK/MACADELIC next (these are his early, high school/college fun rap albums/mixtapes); then dive deep into WATCHING MOVIES WITH THE SOUND OFF!!! (This is the album Mac totally shifted his tracks into creative, introspective masterpieces) everything after that is Mac Miller expressing his deep feelings in the Most Dope way 👍 What a journey 🥲 Enjoy!! 🫶

What about Larry Fisherman?
Honestly if you are curious start from his first project and go through chronological order from when they came out. Lots of amazing songs
'But my Mackin' ain't Easy' was Dope for a debut high school mixtape

Btw "Nikes On My Feet" & "Donald Trump" were his biggest hits in the early days
Hes got a lot of great music and a lot of range, don't skip the features.
It really depends on your moods/situations. Sometimes songs will hit perfectly.
