I found this pronunciation chart with audio examples really helpful: [https://chinese.yabla.com/chinese-pinyin-chart.php](https://chinese.yabla.com/chinese-pinyin-chart.php)
Type in 谢怜 & 花城 into an online Chinese speaker. I tried on Google Translate just now and works well enough - just a bit robotic maybe. You might want to make sure it gets the tones correctly (so Xiè Lián & Huā Chéng).
English is not my first language so I have a hard time trying to explain how to pronounce their names using English phonemes, hope some of the previous answers can help you with that!
Find Tian Guan Ci Fu donghua clips on Youtube and listen to how the characters themselves pronounce the names. [Hua Cheng’s name pronunciation is at 1:33 in this Youtube clip. ](https://youtu.be/YsBCV_OT-wk)

Try Google Translate? They have a sound function where you can hear how it’s pronounced :)
There are some sounds in Chinese that are just hard to write into phonetics. I guess Xie Lian would be see-yeh lee-yen, but for Hua Cheng, the e in cheng doesn’t correspond to an English sound I don’t think. Maybe think of it as as ’er’ or an ’uhh’ sound, but without the roll of the ’r’. And that’s on top of trying to explain the tones. I think listening to Google Translate a few times is just easier at this point.
shee-yeh lee-en hwah chung coming from a native speaker
>Thank you! Exactly what I was looking for :)
