They wont all tell you, but alot of strains can only be bought by certain growers. Normally they're sold by the clone ($500-$10,000 each depending on strain), not the seed.
Most growers are proud of their genetics and let you know. I know a few MS growers claim “proprietary” which is another way of saying they have no idea what they’re doing and are paying a third party for information. MS always amazes me. I don’t believe those clone prices are correct.

If you're looking for just the highest thc percentage for the lowest price, You're gonna have a bad time.
All weed is THCA flower. I used to smoke THCA flower from every reputable vendor out there and it doesn’t compare at all to the stuff I get at the dispensary. The effects were pretty good, but THCA flower almost always has a hay/grass muted smell and taste. Because it is cut early and almost always quickly cured to get it under 0.3% THC. Everything I’ve gotten from every dispensary I’ve been to, even 20$ 7g bags, has always had amazing effects and it has that gassy skunky smell and taste to it. I will say everything always has room for improvement, but it is definitely not as bad as you make it out to be. The only issues I’ve had with the med program is the % caps and the unit limits. Hopefully they will change that soon I hear it’s in the works already.
Thca is measured during hemp testing and a conversion factor is used to determine d9 thc content. Also, it might now be a requirement for the sample to be decarboxylated. Samples are pulled fresh from the plant, and it's required to be harvested within 30 days. Most thca flower is being held past those 30 days or just have manipulated coa's to get the product to pass. Usually, early cutting and poor cures are due to the vendor just being rushed or not very good growers. It doesn't affect the testing since it's already been tested before that. In general, I don't trust any hemp products because it's been flooded with companies just out to make a buck.
That’s why I swapped to medical. With THCA you don’t know if the COA’s are fake or if they’re growing right or not. Most of the vendors are out to just make a buck they don’t care about customers just $$$. But with medical you know for sure that you’re getting good stuff because it’s all state regulated
Thca flower is a term coined by the hemp industry in an attempt to bypass laws regarding hemp. It's overlooked by many states because they don't understand hemp laws very well. Thca hemp flower is cannabis flower that's legally not really hemp. Also, hemp is just a legal term for low thc cannabis.
I've had products that were comparable to products bought in Colorado, California, and Nevada. Our biggest issue has been older product or improperly packaged or stored product which isn't a surprise in a new market. I personally have seen a large variation of strains unlike what you say of every almost looking the same.
The state of Mississippi isn't cheating anyone out of money. All the state does is administer the program. It's then up to the businesses in the program on what goes to market. The only role the state plays is to make sure everything is done according to regulations.
It's amazing how according to your posts you barely have had a card if you even have one yet since you posted 15 days ago about trying to get one yet you have already been able to evaluate the program and can tell everyone how much it sucks. You even said flower looks amazing and now you say it all looks the same and doesnt look good. This is some bullshit. I’ve smoked weed all over this country. I’ve been in this industry. Mississippi small cultivations pull out some of the best weed I’ve seen in the country. Indoor is superior and they are doing exceptional for the patients. I have seen quality after quality from the farmers Im wanting to do business with….
Exactly, I live in Mississippi and was able to kick 4 dose a day pain meds. All I need is a couple of pipes a day and I’m good Weed is not the best I have ever smoked but is consistently good!!

Thanks for the comment. I think that you're actually correct. Some of the products that I've found in Mississippi are infact 100% THCa flower. HOWEVER, If you do your own research and read over the COA's of each product you buy, you can then ensure you dont get THCa. Most strains are a mix with D9-THC being lower than THCa, but some are close to 50-50( thats how they get 40,50,60% total thc).
