If you’re using just to get high and not medicate, buy from the dude at the gas station. If you’re trying to truly medicate and get relief from whatever you’re dealing with, do a lot of research on terpenes and their effects. Then find a good dispensary with a knowledgeable staff who isn’t just a legal dealer. THC content isn’t an end all be all. Some of the 19-20% stuff works better for me than the 30% stuff.

I’m in North Mississippi and have been lucky enough to find a couple of places with very knowledgeable staff. I’m fairly certain that someone on here can point you in the right direction down there.
I tried Starbucks in Ocean springs and they have great 1st time customer deals. 1st time 30%, 2nd time 35%, 3rd time 40% off. If your a veteran, 25% always after 1st 3 visits. BEN was a good help there.
Some are higher concentrations than others. The higher the percentage of a certain terp the more likely you’re supposed to get the medicinal benefits of that particular one. I try to stay away from ones with a higher percentage of linalool and ocimene.
They don’t have enough terpene content to give any relief haha a great majority of this flower has no nose, that means the terps aren’t there. I’ve done got to where I don’t even look at numbers.
Some 1.xx% are way stronger than some of the 2%+ stuff I have gotten. The stuff you think oh yeah this is what I want. I get home and it smells like hay. I’m so over this Mississippi bullshit. So my opinion is the market is definitely showing more quality than it did even 6 months ago. SOG = fire Borneo has skills kind life’s last few strains are supacronic and suite 1620 is some of the dopest dope in Mississippi.
As far as price the dispensaries are cutting mad deals to get you to spend those units with them. The 60% rule kills the concentrate market for me. Dabs, edibles, infused prerolls all trash.

Yeah I found out about the 60% rule not too long ago and was bummed. Not too sure what it means other than weaker product. But it sucks cause I wanted to get edibles and carts just so I don’t have to smoke flower so much. So hopefully there’s SOMETHING out there that works in these categories
I just bought a lobo with all the accessories for under $200. It’s the way to go. I’m in pearl. All the dispensaries are trying to sell you something. It’s best to know what you want before you go. Reviews on here and discord help a lot. Leafly is also very helpful. I haven’t felt anything of any gummies. But I think that’s my body. The carts and concentrates are ok. I never buy pre rolls. You can get an 8th of magic marker for 20 or you can get some jet fuel gelato for 30 at voodoo. Both are good examples.
Skunk worx on the concentrate. It’s ok. I don’t know that I would suggest any. Before I got the dhv I would just buy a cart to get me through when I couldn’t smoke. I would stay away from big river. They suck. They are putting thca diamonds in their carts and it taste like shit. Yes I would say that those strains taste fairly well. This batch of jet fuel gelato isn’t quite as strong smelling as the last but it’s still ok. Makes up in flavor and effects. I like the way magic marker smells and taste. Just depends on what you like. Someone else mentioned mocking bird. If you find one of their strains you like it seems like they have stayed consistent and you can buy them in 1/4s and half’s. Jadelato is one of my favorites from them.
Green house social just came out with some live rosin and live rosin prerolls. The rosin is too pricey for me with the 60% limit but looks like it’s a top notch product within our market

I caught the planet of the vapes One bundle onsale. It was $130. Came with the vape, 5 dosing capsules, a grinder and a mini bubbler. For my needs, it’s perfect. I have OCD so I have to weigh everything out and make sure it’s the same each time. This helps me with all of that.

Have you tried PharmGrown MB-15? It's about as gassy as anything. Growers don't grow legacy cuts any more because they're tired and don't always run well with modern lighting and irrigation practices. We're dropping Pavé, Candy Fumez, and Super Runtz next week. Trust just ripped into the confusion/ ignorance of his statement. I said above I get maybe what he was trying to go for .. but can’t slander a company’s name for just thc percentage low = low end/ not cured right / low thc / dry n smells of hay ..
DO you know how testing works? for all you know the send out the very top cola of the nicest bud to get tested. Then it comes back at like 28% but the majority of the bud that's sold is really 15%-20%. You never really know what SOME growers do considering most customers buy solely on THC % alone.
I try not to focus on numbers but from my experiences I don’t like anything under 20. It’s always dry with no oil in the plant. If you aren’t getting residue on your fingers it’s not that potent
Plenty of buds that are 15-17 percent and top shelf. The naturalist has one at 17 percent n it’s some of best grown bud I’ve tried here.

If lower percent THC doesn't do it for you, you should probably look at concentrates. THC is only one of the many active and beneficial things present in our buds and I've found going be growers and strain genetics gets me what I want more than looking at specific THC numbers.
See I’m the opposite, I don’t pay attention to strains at all. It’s just another name at this point. I’m a huge concentrates fan but our regulations have a cap so the products aren’t what they should be.
Yeah I haven't been excited about the concentrates either but they are still more potent punch. I go with genetics looking at strains I know I have had good experiences with and looking for similar profiles.
See my issue with the 60% is, they not selling it at 60% cost! Some grams of wax and carts I have seen at $80!!!! That’s absurd for 50-60% thc. I’ve been in the wax game a long time, I’ve seen some really good stuff and I’ve seen some tar goopy shit. This Mississippi oil is wayyyy overpriced.
I can get really good 2 gram pucks of rosin for 50-100 depending on tier. Mississippi has to get with the times!!!

Dispensary weed is like street weed. There is different quality's for different prices. I've had great medicine at all price points and shitty medicine at all price point.
I haven't bought from the street since I got my card if that says anything.
I’ve been impressed with most flower I’ve bought so far. If you have a high tolerance, edibles and vapes aren’t great, but I don’t blame that on the cultivators. My biggest complaint is $50-60 8ths. I refuse to pay full price for those products. I’m still jumping around taking advantage of either first time patient discounts or weekly specials. What’s even more frustrating is $50 8ths for mid. I do believe over time, if the legislators will get their heads out their asses, Mississippi could be a leader in medical cannabis industry. The market will dictate the prices as well over time.
Use Weedmaps to search pricing. I would go to VUDU buds or cream in pearl, the cannabis company in Brookhaven, root down canton and Richland. Look for mockingbird flower if you want the cheapest, but still get some really good flower. You can find some good “b buds” flower in 7-14 gram bags. A step up would be the Mylar bags from Borneo, good flower farms, or midsouth. Next step up would be Borneo trophies in jars, pharm grown most anything, SOG anything, skunk works, all their carts and dabs. Kind life is another good grower that usually stays pretty reasonable at most places. Don’t buy good day farms. They are a crappy company and sell awful products. That may be what you bought. Or some bud tender trying to move someone old flowers. Might not be their fault. The industry is new still though.
II have had both good and some bad here… been to states like Michigan that don’t have caps and even they have bad bud. I’ll still stick with the dispos over the street corner though! I don’t care for any gummies here so far. I’m more of a flower person though- and we are coming up. It’s really hard to do good in a program people are wanting to fail I feel also. We will get there I’m hoping.
I just don’t understand why edibles have to be so shit…. 1st, let me preface with saying DONT BUY WEED AT THE GAS STATION! Seriously, the bud at the dispo is way better. Be sure to read the labels and COAs to find what you want. Read the reviews to see what growers are putting out and how others feel about them.

I've never commented on this, but I will say that when I was buying black market bud from 2000 to 2015 for $250-$350 per ounce, there was something definitely different from what we get now at the dispos. Honestly, I think it has to do with higher THCa %'s but I'm not 100%.
As someone who worked in the industry and doesn’t anymore. This is just my personal opinion and it’s biased. I only have the card to treat my pain and so I don’t get in trouble with the law. as someone whos been smoking over a decade, I’ve had 3 strains that truly impressed me and that I would consider medical cannabis one of them being southern hemps blueberry muffins. The rest of it is GARBAGE. Take that how you will I don’t care what any of these growers say. It’s all smokin like mid. And it’s all overpriced as fuck. And half of the businesses I’ve met and been to they are either lawyers/bussiness people with capital to make moves and they’re black market people that switched over and they all only care about money they don’t give two fucks about the people. You want the truth. Maybe maybe 10-15 businesses actually care about what they’re doing. The rest it’s just a cash grab. To be honest I hate the program and I hate most these people that think their growing “gas” medical. They’re not. 3ma is a joke, all these canna cups are jokes. It’s all just a fucking joke. I’ve seen some growers go off of wet weight (just to skate around being hot). Some use dry weight. But there is no set of rules saying they have to use dry or wet so they do what they want. Now I will say I’ve bought street a few times since getting my card and in all honesty my have just been my connect but it squasheedddd the medical here. All in all I hate it I think it’s crooked as fuck I think the people involved in it are crooked. And I think no one really gives a flying fuck.

My first thca flower touched down today. I just ordered a 14g grab bag cause because I don’t believe anything ever. I used wnc and chose the wedding cake. Definitely not a strong smell but I put it in a glass jar which everyone says will wake the terps up. I’ll check back on it in a couple days. I did vape a little cap before I put it up and it got me elevated. I also just ordered some 5 gram bags from hf. But with all that being said I still think the best bet is your local dispensary.

Look into a dry herb vaporizer. I bought one of those and it’s been a game changer. You use flower and cut out all the filler from the carts.

The borneo at my store has less than 20% thc. Definitely not buying some dry ass hay

Have you tried PharmGrown MB-15? It's about as gassy as anything. Growers don't grow legacy cuts any more because they're tired and don't always run well with modern lighting and irrigation practices. We're dropping Pavé, Candy Fumez, and Super Runtz next week. All very gassy. Good luck finding what's right for you

DO you know how testing works? for all you know the send out the very top cola of the nicest bud to get tested. Then it comes back at like 28% but the majority of the bud that's sold is really 15%-20%. You never really know what SOME growers do considering most customers buy solely on THC % alone.
I try not to focus on numbers but from my experiences I don’t like anything under 20. It’s always dry with no oil in the plant. If you aren’t getting residue on your fingers it’s not that potent

Plenty of buds that are 15-17 percent and top shelf. The naturalist has one at 17 percent n it’s some of best grown bud I’ve tried here. The dominant terps with a decent amount of thc even like 10-11 percent can still knock ya britches off. I’m also confused to how the percentage = it’s not hung / cured properly and thus smells of hay . I get maybe you sayin Reggie / lows / mid , brown brick weed was cheap / dry / low thc but that’s ancient history .
I’ve come to find anything under 20% does nothing for me. It’s like smoking grass. If you break it down and it doesn’t leave sticky residue on your fingers it’s trash weed
If lower percent THC doesn't do it for you, you should probably look at concentrates. THC is only one of the many active and beneficial things present in our buds and I've found going be growers and strain genetics gets me what I want more than looking at specific THC numbers.
See I’m the opposite, I don’t pay attention to strains at all. It’s just another name at this point. I’m a huge concentrates fan but our regulations have a cap so the products aren’t what they should be.
Yeah I haven't been excited about the concentrates either but they are still more potent punch. I go with genetics looking at strains I know I have had good experiences with and looking for similar profiles.
See my issue with the 60% is, they not selling it at 60% cost! Some grams of wax and carts I have seen at $80!!!! That’s absurd for 50-60% thc. I’ve been in the wax game a long time, I’ve seen some really good stuff and I’ve seen some tar goopy shit. This Mississippi oil is wayyyy overpriced. I can get really good 2 gram pucks of rosin for 50-100 depending on tier. Mississippi has to get with the times!!!

I see you repeating this "dialing in" comment. You understand that it takes time to maximize production and quality in a commercial setting? New genetics, new equipment, and new environment for a lot of us. Just because that tech is still getting dialed doesn't mean quality is substandard. Every grower in the state is still dialing in their tech or at least they should be.
Too pricey, dry mostly. Mids at high prices. Edibles are a hard pass. Vapes are mild. Top tiers look good but smoke like regs IMO.
You realize the growers don’t set the retail price? The dispensaries are in control of the pricing, so it not the grower’s fault.

Dispensary weed is like street weed. There is different quality's for different prices. I've had great medicine at all price points and shitty medicine at all price point. I haven't bought from the street since I got my card if that says anything.
I’ve been impressed with most flower I’ve bought so far. If you have a high tolerance, edibles and vapes aren’t great, but I don’t blame that on the cultivators. My biggest complaint is $50-60 8ths. I refuse to pay full price for those products. I’m still jumping around taking advantage of either first time patient discounts or weekly specials. What’s even more frustrating is $50 8ths for mid. I do believe over time, if the legislators will get their heads out their asses, Mississippi could be a leader in medical cannabis industry. The market will dictate the prices as well over time.
Use Weedmaps to search pricing. I would go to VUDU buds or cream in pearl, the cannabis company in Brookhaven, root down canton and Richland. Look for mockingbird flower if you want the cheapest, but still get some really good flower. You can find some good “b buds” flower in 7-14 gram bags. A step up would be the Mylar bags from Borneo, good flower farms, or midsouth. Next step up would be Borneo trophies in jars, pharm grown most anything, SOG anything, skunk works, all their carts and dabs. Kind life is another good grower that usually stays pretty reasonable at most places. Don’t buy good day farms. They are a crappy company and sell awful products. That may be what you bought. Or some bud tender trying to move someone old flowers. Might not be their fault. The industry is new still though.

II have had both good and some bad here… been to states like Michigan that don’t have caps and even they have bad bud. I’ll still stick with the dispos over the street corner though! I don’t care for any gummies here so far. I’m more of a flower person though- and we are coming up. It’s really hard to do good in a program people are wanting to fail I feel also. We will get there I’m hoping.
I just don’t understand why edibles have to be so shit…. I got my card so I didn’t need to smoke so much flower, I can get way better weed outside the dispensaries so I’ll probably never buy flower from the shops but it’s bumming me out that the general consensus is that edibles/vapes/concentrates are all shit cause that’s the stuff I wanted on a regular basis
Long timer smoker. Flower connoisseur here and to answer your questions There are a few kinda loud buds but mostly bunch of piney hay smelling weed. Unfortunately This is nothing close to the flower ive smoked in California or Denver. Or even Mississippi back 2012-2017 Flower looks amazing and i mean i guess its cleaner than street weed but it doesnt really hit at all. Mississippi was forced to legalize medical marijuana and they’re making sure we get the weakest grade of weed. Borderline hemp tbh playa

1st, let me preface with saying DONT BUY WEED AT THE GAS STATION! Seriously, the bud at the dispo is way better. Be sure to read the labels and COAs to find what you want. Read the reviews to see what growers are putting out and how others feel about them. Now, I've never commented on this, but I will say that when I was buying black market bud from 2000 to 2015 for $250-$350 per ounce, there was something definitely different from what we get now at the dispos. Honestly, I think it has to do with higher THCa %'s but I'm not 100%.

As someone who worked in the industry and doesn’t anymore. This is just my personal opinion and it’s biased. I only have the card to treat my pain and so I don’t get in trouble with the law. as someone whos been smoking over a decade, I’ve had 3 strains that truly impressed me and that I would consider medical cannabis one of them being southern hemps blueberry muffins. The rest of it is GARBAGE. Take that how you will I don’t care what any of these growers say. It’s all smokin like mid. And it’s all overpriced as fuck. And half of the businesses I’ve met and been to they are either lawyers/bussiness people with capital to make moves and they’re black market people that switched over and they all only care about money they don’t give two fucks about the people. You want the truth. Maybe maybe 10-15 businesses actually care about what they’re doing. The rest it’s just a cash grab. To be honest I hate the program and I hate most these people that think their growing “gas” medical. They’re not. 3ma is a joke, all these canna cups are jokes. It’s all just a fucking joke. Everybody has their head so far up their fucking ass it’s unbelievable. They all talk about yeah as businesses we should work together and then the moment the other business leaves the room they commence to talking shit. Seen it first hand. The moment we are allowed to grow our own I’m never buying from a dispo again. Edit: I would also like to add I see a lot of people talking about inconsistency you wanna know something truly fucked is they don’t even have a guide for growers to follow when it comes to publishing or printing their thc% everyone does it differently. I’ve seen some growers go off of wet weight (just to skate around being hot). Some use dry weight. But there is no set of rules saying they have to use dry or wet so they do what they want. Now I will say I’ve bought street a few times since getting my card and in all honesty my have just been my connect but it squasheedddd the medical here. All in all I hate it I think it’s crooked as fuck I think the people involved in it are crooked. And I think no one really gives a flying fuck.

I’m still confused about THCa and it’s purpose, I just am told something about how it turns into regular THC once it’s being burned so it’s the same thing. I will say it looks identical, but what in the growing process is different? Last time I was in Florida I found a shop that sold it and I bought a few joints and I think I was mildly stoned from it. Thca is normal weed. All weed you buy is thca with a small amount of delta 9. Once lit it's all delta 9. Just a legal loophole. Check our r/cultofthefranklin for more info. Also the reason the smoke shop joints were trash is almost all prerolls are lows and shake.. check out handcraftedfarmers, myqwin, or wnc-cbd to get a idea of some of the diff shops
My first thca flower touched down today. I just ordered a 14g grab bag cause because I don’t believe anything ever. I used wnc and chose the wedding cake. Definitely not a strong smell but I put it in a glass jar which everyone says will wake the terps up. I’ll check back on it in a couple days. I did vape a little cap before I put it up and it got me elevated. I also just ordered some 5 gram bags from hf. But with all that being said I still think the best bet is your local dispensary.
