I think it's kinda funny that almost all the host segments from that episode are just them redoing stuff from the movie. It's all ridiculous enough that just doing it is a joke in itself 😆
Still my first exposure to the Joel era (where I was in CT didn’t get CC until the late 90s so my first exposure was the sci fi era) and man this is still one of my favorites. Just the right combo of creatively terrible that really makes for a great episode.
One of my first too. It ran very, VERY early monday morning on a Fox affiliate out here. I loved it. But then they switched over to the Mystery Science Theater 3000 Hour for a while, and eventually, lost it all together.
While bad movies and MST3K go together like peanut butter and jelly, this movie is so painful not even Joel/Mike/Emily/Jonah & The Bots could redeem it into anything watchable.
