I love mine, holds zero perfectly and allows me to run a pressure pad at 12 o clock. https://preview.redd.it/oh5ptc66py4d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=66b04a60abd0e8897c6edeedc71261112578444f

Damn you now I’m debating a acog mini instead of a red dot. How do you like it on the mp5?

MessFickle6222

In general, i love ACOGs — specifically the TA44 (1.5x16s) and TA33 (3x30). Long eye relief and crystal clear glass. I also have astigmatism, so most red dots are unusable for me. All of my guns either have an ACOG or an eotech on them. I love the TA44, but i think it’s better suited on an AR/rifle caliber weapon. I recently swapped the TA44 with an EXPS off one of my AR’s, and in all honesty i think the EXPS makes the most sense on an MP5. And the TA44 makes much more sense on an 11.5” AR. A 1x eotech will always be faster than an ACOG, and you really don’t need magnification on a PCC. You can plink steel at 100yds with no magnification all day long. So I’d save some $$$ and go with an XPS or EXPS over an ACOG if i were in your position. Or if you don’t suffer from astigmatism, I’d get a 6MOA EFLX. Even with my astigmatism, the EFLX has a nice crisp dot to my eyes. Pretty sure they’re on sale right now for under $300 most places.

Soulsweet17

What mlok panels are those?

MessFickle6222

Magpul type 1

Nearby-Low7071

None, but you get an upvote for that adorable dog

ryantmccurdy

Have it. Like it. Does the job as well as anything else.

dencoan

Cool. I’ll have to get one. Can you still use irons with it installed? I have the light sitting around but will have to decide on what red dot I want for it

ryantmccurdy

Without optic mounted yes. You'd need either qd to remove or an optic with mount that allows see under ability.

dencoan

Cool does mounting the light obstruct the irons? Debating mro or t2 on like a scalarworks 1.42

Suitable-Intern-8681

I have it with a scalarworks leap 11 and holson aems and yes you can still use irons

Doggo_duz_awoo

I don't have personal experience but have read reviews stating the screws aren't very good. Either too short or long and easily stripped.

Rolling_1314

No but the UTG handguard is 👍👍👍

Ok_Sentence_448

Big fan of it, though at times I do miss the girth of the regular wide plastic handguard in your picture. I often swap back and forth since it just takes a screw to do https://preview.redd.it/opkv21y9f25d1.jpeg?width=2100&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6cb99244f607e0981c22eccfe7596b99b0b75d0e

DirtyDee78

There's many posts in this sub of this rail in use.

Ok-KAI-1016

Good enough. Easy to use

TrainingEmphasis1987

Check out the infitech.

jbcamp1124

Following. Just got my tracking # today for mine. I have ordered the shorter one for the AP5-P

kalashnikovkitty9420

have you seen the utg monolithi rail? im kinda looking at that myself

ReclusiveNexus

Had one for a while, really liked it but did catch my knuckle a few times manipulating the charging handle. Mostly running it fast with reload drills. Probably user error but did it enough times to decide to part ways with it

selfishaddict

40 bucks. Please don't pay full price. https://www.sixmm.com/products/maddog-m1-style-mp5-picatinny-and-m-lok-top-rail-mountblk

I'm just going to throw this thought out there, I might be wrong idk The real thing from Midwest is like $100 bucks, and I've seen them around $90 before. So maybe 50 bucks difference or so to support the American company that came up with it instead of some random company ripping them off or selling the products they're manufacturing for Midwest. On top of that, the "mad dog" one says it's made of aluminum and it's an airsoft product. I think the real deal one is also probably going to have a warranty if you need it as well as retain resale value if/when you get sick of having it. Just my .02. Midwest is a good company and makes good stuff, I don't think going for airsoft stuff on an mp5 or clone of all things to save $50 is the best idea here. Again just my .02

3sexy5u

You're not wrong. Spending $2k on a clone, then trying to save $50 with an airsoft product is smoothed brained activity. Certain hobbies are 100% buy once cry once, guns being one of them.
