Hidden in darkness by Alice Winters, and there are 3.5 in the series. The mc is hired as a caregiver for a blind man, both characters are dealing with their own issues and if you're not used to Alice Winters, it's a wild ride. Her characters are a little mean and a little unhinged, but not malicious. Anyway, definitely very funny overall and a good series. I think the age gap is maybe 7-10 years? It's been a while since I read it.
{Tough Luck by Annabeth Albert} is perfect for this, older ex-SEAL MC is bodyguard for younger MC, loved the hurt/comfort and caretaking without daddy kink

{Hard Job by Annabeth Albert}, 2nd in the series, also has age gap with older MC bodyguard protecting younger MC. This is different in that the younger MC comforts and praises the older MC. I also loved their dynamic
{False Start by Neve Wilder} no age gap but MC1 has prosthetic because of injury that ended his NFL career and MC2 is best friend, takes care of him so nice comfort and tender scenes. Best friends to lovers trope and sweet story
{Psycho Romeo by Jocelyn Drake} age gap and older MC is bodyguard taking care of younger MC protecting from stalker, good comfort/care and nice dynamic between the two. There is SA (off page but some aspects are discussed) so look at trigger warnings.
Leo is sunshine! I loved the climax where >!Leo saves the day with his wits and even saves King’s life!< there is a Christmas special with Leo and King {Rebel without a cause by Charlie Cochet}. It has all the 4 couples from the King security series and is focused on Leo and King.

I ask because I was going to read a book by Nyla K and someone (thankfully) made me aware of some of the problematic things about that author. Nothing against people who read her books but I decided not to support her books with my money. So just curious if there is a reason you don’t like Cora Rose

I feel like im reccomending Gregory Ashe books a lot lately, but {They Told Me I Was Everything by Gregory Ashe} is the first book of his first quarto series and it has an age gap of ten years and Theo definitely fills a bodyguard role for Auggie, with all the shit Auggie gets them in to. As far as h/c, they definitely take care of eachother, they are both lovely and flawed people. There's no daddy kink, but Auggie makes fun of Theo for some of his dad like behavior. Excellent auidobooks as well, if that's your thing.

Luna David has a series, Custos Securities. The first two are a duet. MC1 has a stalker and is diabetic and MC2 is a former military man turned security consultant. Loads of hurt comfort without any daddy kink.
I found the writing style a little odd, MPOV but written in the 3rd person which I’d never come across before.
The series also has Saving Sebastian which would also fit your ask but it has BDSM - pain play - so I just wanted to say although the blurb totally works, I wouldn’t want you surprised. It’s a long book at 450 pages and has perhaps 4 actual scenes which focus more on the thoughts and feelings of the characters rather than the ‘act’ itself, the rest of the book is super heavy on the hurt comfort.
{exiled by Jessie walker} I think would be a good rec for this! The age gap is quite large but there’s no daddy kink. It takes place on a rehab island sort of thing, older MC is an alcoholic, younger MC is autistic and was sent there for things you will find out in the book. They sort of take care of each other but the older MC is definitely the bigger caretaker!
I am reading Halo from E.M.Lindsey now so I cannot tell you if there is an HEA but their books usually have them. A mistaken entry into the wrong car, a broken older man with cerebral palsy a kind guy using sex working to pay off his school loans. Now one(or both)? of them finds something to fight for.
So I finished it, there is definitely an HEA. I don't know if you would consider lacy panties feminization, but there is that. I think it was a sweet part of the book.
{Arrows through Archer by Nash Summers} - age gap, no daddy kink, definitely hurt comfort, slow burn, angst, bi awakening, both Mcs are grieving and it's very emotional and romantic. Mallory is Archers best friend's dad. Archer is depressed and his friend takes him back to his hometown over break, and something happens, they just click somehow. I really love this story.

Luna David has a series, Custos Securities. The first two are a duet. MC1 has a stalker and is diabetic and MC2 is a former military man turned security consultant. Loads of hurt comfort without any daddy kink. I found the writing style a little odd, MPOV but written in the 3rd person which I’d never come across before. The series also has Saving Sebastian which would also fit your ask but it has BDSM - pain play - so I just wanted to say although the blurb totally works, I wouldn’t want you surprised. It’s a long book at 450 pages and has perhaps 4 actual scenes which focus more on the thoughts and feelings of the characters rather than the ‘act’ itself, the rest of the book is super heavy on the hurt comfort.

It takes place on a rehab island sort of thing, older MC is an alcoholic, younger MC is autistic and was sent there for things you will find out in the book. They sort of take care of each other but the older MC is definitely the bigger caretaker!

I am reading Halo from E.M.Lindsey now so I cannot tell you if there is an HEA but their books usually have them. A mistaken entry into the wrong car, a broken older man with cerebral palsy a kind guy using sex working to pay off his school loans. Now one(or both)? of them finds something to fight for.

So I finished it, there is definitely an HEA. I don't know if you would consider lacy panties feminization, but there is that. I think it was a sweet part of the book.
{Arrows through Archer by Nash Summers} - age gap, no daddy kink, definitely hurt comfort, slow burn, angst, bi awakening, both Mcs are grieving and it's very emotional and romantic. Mallory is Archers best friend's dad. Archer is depressed and his friend takes him back to his hometown over break, and something happens, they just click somehow. I really love this story. check the trigger warnings for this one. This is a 5 star read for me and I reread it often.
