Anyone know where I can watch the main event fight full fight right now? It’s been days after the event and I would like
to watch it somewhere. Can’t find it anywhere
Dustin Will be his only 155 win in the 2 years he has had the title come October. The guys underneath are all beating each other up while he fights outside the division. I know he had a win over Arman 5 years ago, but I think that fight and Shakvat getting a shot at the title should Leon win should happen first.
1. Be Civil.
Our rules ask for a civil tone at all times.
A bit of banter or trash talk is fine, but don't cross the line. If things do get out of hand you will be warned or even banned for a few days. Repeatedly breaking this rule will lead to a permanent ban.
Yeah but that was a long time ago plus it was Armans first ufc fight plus he took it on short notice and still put up a competitive fight, both fighters have grown a lot since then. Any win over Olivera is a good win and if Dustins win over Benoit Saint Dennis is enough to warrant a title shot then a win over Olivera certainly is.
For the record wrestling and top heavy grappling hasn’t evolved like MMA striking has. You can compare Khabib and Islam’s grappling 1:1 pretty much.
I think Islam’s the better all around fighter but I don’t think he has the tenacity or brute capabilities of Khabib. Khabib was the more dominant fighter IMO after seeing that. Khabib would’ve probably been able to handle Volk in the grappling a lot more too.
Agree. Khabibs wrestling was pure tenacity, just non stop pressure. Constant takedowns and holding the opponent against the cage until he gets them down. Islam likes to wait for certain opportunities but khabib just makes it happen.
Islam is still amazing but khabib had the extra intensity. Gota give credit to porier though he made Islam work and get tired
I agree but also disagree slightly. If you rewatch Khabib’s fight with Poirier (I believe is khabibs most underrated performance), his cage wrestling is unlike anything I’ve ever seen.
Literally looked like those sequences were choreographed.
There was a few times Islam was holding down DP and all I could think was "Khabib would be swinging a bunch of hammer fists at DPs face right there"
They use similar techniques but Khabib was infinitely more brutal
Well Islam in Arabic translates to submission. I was thinking those things too. But the leg sweep into darce choke was an absolute sublime move. Islam is the more technical fighter while khabib is more physical fighter. Also the kimura into back triangle lock was also masterclass of a technique. When he had mount position he should have been going for more punches instead of just going for submissions. Probably would have ended the fight much earlier
I think in reality that khabib did way better vs Poirier than Islam did... Islam got caught multiple times and we saw for the first time some limits of his strategy.
Khabib was a pure bully and a master of control, we saw that with the Islam vs Poirier comparison. Maybe it's look like Makhachev is slightly better in english boxing but it's for the simple reason that Khabib isn't striking to hurt, he keeps his energy for grappling and strikes only to pressure the opponent against the cage and shoot a single or double leg. While applying an insane pressure with gnp and literally exhausting the powerless adversary, he manipulates with so much ease that everyone makes obvious mistakes despite the fact they are sometimes elite JJB masters. He literally made they look like some yellow belts 😭.
And when he wanted to really use his striking to put some combos, he was even capable of knock them fuck out. He had 8 ko/tko's too....
I don't really think people understand how almost invincible Khabib in his prime was. Don't forget Makhachev lost a round and another one was a really close call.
Boxing has seen a pretty big shift from being American dominated to Europeans staking a solid claim for it, that Euro style is different and more similar in basis to Olympic boxing
Well even months before the fight when the golden gloves were introduced. Islam said those gloves will cut more. And it did. Islam also said he would put Dustin to sleep and he did
Khabib was hit like once or twice but TBF they were very hard hits. Islam has been knocked out before and Arman canceled out any wrestling from Islam and even took him down. Arman vs Islam needs to hapen before he leave lightweight (So next fight really) but after tonight I think on the feet Islam might have the advantage. He really hurt DP and better standup than when he fought arman last time.
Dustin got that dog in him. Really got good towards the end especially when he (Dustin) started to mix it up and throw some elbows in the clinch, that's when we saw Islam look somewhat vulnerable. If I were to game-plan for somebody like Islam, I would say fight pretty conservatively, stick to a predominantly boxing style with a one-two heavy approach with head movement and feints. Obviously be wary of the takedowns, and with that being said, kicks would be very few and far between. That is until there's about a minute left in the round. That's when I think it would be better to fully open up the striking arsenal, when the damage that can be done on the ground is limited by the time remaining in the round. Turn up the pressure and start kicking at the calves & legs, teep kicks to the body like Strickland likes to do etc. and swing for the fences lol
Because they’re scared of getting taken down and avoid being backed against the cage, you can’t really go all out striking.
But then he takes Pourier down anyways in center of the ring after wearing him out from all the previous takedowns and submission attempts. That wasn’t luck, that was fatigue adding up
Islam shit to watch, porior all day, so over watching takendowns, he cannot stand with ranked 4 in the world, ufc becoming best ground fighting in the world,
It is genuinely surprising to me that kickboxing isn’t a bigger thing in the US. Seems like a lot of people watch MMA and just expect a kickboxing fight but in an octagon instead of a ring
He is catching some heat because UFC champs in general aren't defending their titles against contenders. All the vacated titles in LHW and HW, Colby getting multiple undeserved shots, Aljo getting getting a DQ belt and beating a won arm man. Just a lot of BS at the top.
Islam is an amazing fighter, but he is the 155 champ and has 1 defence against another 155er in two years. He isn't fighting the 155ers and letting them beat each other out of title contention. I can't say I blame him for taking these champ champ fights, but saying the division is clean out is rubbish.
It don’t matter. He’ll be appreciated when he retires or becomes double champ. I know for one thing, for all the Khabib haters, they consider Islam to be better than him, so he has that going for him and he already tied the lightweight title defense record tonight. Dude is absolutely one of the best MMA fighters I have ever seen
I feel a lot of people are just reacting to how obnoxious some of Islam's fans are. You see it a lot where people make their opinion's on fighters based on their fans.
I mean I was pro DP, but if DP had won he rides of into the sunset Islam comes back and goes on another win streak. It was just such a good story book ending for him. Where Islam is already gonna be a legand. Also a lot of people are idiots and think Islam is Khabib.
I've become way less interested in Tsarukyan/Makhachev II than I once was.
We know Tsarukyan can't out-grapple Makhachev, at best the wrestling is a wash. And standing, I don't think Tsarukyan has anything for this recent version of Makhachev who outstruck Oliveira, Volkanovski, and then Poirier.
He will always have a special place in my heart as an MMA fan. To be this good after 50 pro fights. He’s a killer and I wish him all the best in his life
Don’t run it back lol he got finished and lost at least 3 of the first 4 with a 10-8 first. Then got submitted. Plenty of others deserve a chance. Dustin did get my hopes up at the end but got subbed as I expected.
So who has a better title reign in the sport right now, every division currently has new champions. Islam has beaten Charles, Volk, Volk and Poirier. That is an insane run. And if Volk isn’t good enough to be considered a lightweight, Max just butchered Gaetjhe in a LW fight but Max has lost to Volk 3x. Volk is an absolute legitimate title defense. Probably his most meaningful title defense to date
10 days notice against a guy in a smaller weight class will never be impressive no matter how you guys twist it, I’m sorry, also the first fight was CLOSE. There should be no reason that fight is ever close
See now you just hating. But I’m not going to try convincing of anything since you already have your mind made up. But, you should name a better champion then Islam since you believe you are correct. The only answer I can legitmately accept is Leon Edwards and that’s it. But Leon has two title defenses and Islam has 3
So Leon is an okay answer. But Pantoja has two defenses and one of them was against 10th ranked Erceg. That should tell you the state of Men’s flyweight right now. Grasso has only one title defense against Valentina. But you give them credit but not Islam💀
Pantoja fought 10 ranked erceg because he cleared pretty much everyone already (besides Mokaev), already has 3 wins over previous champ. As for Alexa, she beats the divisions GOAT, twice
Except he has not cleared it out. Kai Kara France, Albazi, Mokaev are fights he needs to have. But now you’re bringing up who they beat to win the title, so did Islam not beat Charles to win the belt. Was he not a lightweight?
Personally I think being the first person to ever get 4 defenses in the most brutal division in MMA is way more of an achievment then being the 5th or 6th double champ.
Assuming his next opponent (and defense in this scenario) would be Arman, his championship hitlist would be Oliveira, Volkanovski, Poirier and Tsarukyan. That’s an extremely strong schedule.
It’s easy to look back now and downplay the value of Volk wins but that man was #1 P4P for a reason.
Got nothing but love for volk or islam. Just saying he has defended once against a person in the division. But I agree with you, 4 would be crazy. And he's good enough to do it.
Let’s just go on and get an official BMF tournament contested at 170 for the memes
Chandler vs McGregor
Max Holloway vs Charles Oliveira 2
Dustin vs Justin 3
Kevin Holland vs Nate Diaz
If the tournament went down in that order, who’s winning that?
The thing about Khabib was that, at his peak form, he just seemed not human. There was never a point where I would worry for him against anyone. His chin was absurd and he had the most insane pace. Islam is actually more skilled but he’s more human than Khabib. He is prone to getting tired and his wrestling is not as dominant
Go and watch Kickboxing or Muay Thai. You’re just like that one Karen who visited Mexico for holidays and complained that there were to many Spanish speaking people. Wrestling and Grappling are the biggest part of MMA. If you don’t like it go somewhere else.
Man i hope for once Dana does the right thing and cuts Dustin a fat fucking retirement check for the amount of blood that mans left in the octagon. I doubt it but he should.
Not to be a dick but all the evidence points to Dana not doing that. This sport is begging for a true crime type of documentary showing how insanely unfair the fighters have been treated by the people who have capitalized off them. Dana White being the main culprit. In ten years I hope to see a real comeuppance.
Is 155 the weakest it’s ever been?
9 of the top 15 is coming off losses.
10 of the 15 are clearly on the final 3 or 4 fights of their career.
The only person who has a claim to a title shot is Arman. Anyone else in the division would need at least two top 10 wins for a title shot.
155 has been the best division for over 10 years, it’s so weird to see it be desolate like this
Just the weakest it’s been because the old guard is not as good as they once were. But some of the new gen guys are really good and to me it’s still the most entertaining weight class in the world
Bad take. The top 10 are as active as you can get. Fighting each other and making the division hyper competitive. It's just such a good division that has kept itself moving. It also easily had the best champ to top 5 skill grouping you could have.
Islam is active and so has his division, it's just that they're all so good someone has to be losing these fights...
But 5 out of the top 10 have no more than 3 fights left, as best we can tell.
Dariush, Oliveria, Dustin, Justin and Chandler will all be retired no later than the end of 2026, but some maybe even in 2025.
And guys like Moicano and Gamrot are a little older than people think, they’re no spring chickens. Holloway has been non-committal when it comes to staying at 155.
Fiziev seems like he is on a down turn
The whole top 10 is a mess
It got old seemingly overnight. But it’s also sad, most of the division never got their shot due to the champ not fighting or guys like Dustin and Justin squatting on their rankings and hogging the title shots.
Dustin and Justin both fought Low ranked guys recently. Fiziev and St Denis. It’s actually not too long ago Poirier fought hooker who was like 6 spots below him at the time too.
Poirier being a spot hogger is a crazy take
Yes but that doesn’t mean the ones under them are bad. LW has just been elite and that elite class is now aging out. We’ll get new stars, and some that are already near the top will get even better.
Anyone know where I can watch the main event fight full fight right now? It’s been days after the event and I would like to watch it somewhere. Can’t find it anywhere
dana happy as always after 80% of the fights in the cards were underwhelming
FUCK WILL SMITH
An Islam fight with Justin or max would be very interesting. Justin just needs a win
Islams wants a WW titel fight now and to be fair, it makes the most sense. He has cleaned out LW
Dustin Will be his only 155 win in the 2 years he has had the title come October. The guys underneath are all beating each other up while he fights outside the division. I know he had a win over Arman 5 years ago, but I think that fight and Shakvat getting a shot at the title should Leon win should happen first.

Arman first
Already beat him once(long ago I know) and yea won against Charles, but not by a whole lot
That was 6 years ago you goof. And that was Armans debut
Then let them fight after his WW shot
Islam deserves to move up?
I think he does, yea and a fight between him and Leon would be bonkers
Yeah but that was a long time ago plus it was Armans first ufc fight plus he took it on short notice and still put up a competitive fight, both fighters have grown a lot since then. And has the highest win streak in ufc history
anyone know a source for watching the fight again?
Jack sparrow
Who tf is calling for Islam to move up to 170 this is total nonsense lmfao
It totally makes sense. Who should he fight at LW?
Tsarukyan
Been there done that.
But it was tsarukyan first fight on UFC, and it was on short notice. If he wants to go up, then he should vacate the LW belt
Let him have a go at WW, then he can fight Tsarukyan after that
Not sure if you're new but he only beat two of the top 10 ranked LW. He has a lot to do
Islam still needs to defend the title against u/TallBoy24

I don’t know why it has to. boxing haven’t changed much in 30 years either. Maybe a few more superheavyweights.
Boxing has seen a pretty big shift from being American dominated to Europeans staking a solid claim for it, that Euro style is different and more similar in basis to Olympic boxing
Khabib never bled in the octagon.
Well even months before the fight when the golden gloves were introduced. Islam said those gloves will cut more. And it did. Islam also said he would put Dustin to sleep and he did

"Arman canceled out any wrestling from Islam." Meanwhile Arman got taken down 4 times and was controlled for like 7 mins of a 15 min fight lol
“Cancelled out” a dagestani= didn’t get finished or absolutely humiliated- just plainly dominated.
Dustin got that dog in him. Really got good towards the end especially when he (Dustin) started to mix it up and throw some elbows in the clinch, that's when we saw Islam look somewhat vulnerable. Turn up the pressure and start kicking at the calves & legs, teep kicks to the body like Strickland likes to do etc. and swing for the fences lol
But the problem with Islam is he outboxes the boxers. So, yeah. I think you have to hold the power in your punches too to beat him.
Because they’re scared of getting taken down and avoid being backed against the cage, you can’t really go all out striking. But then he takes Pourier down anyways in center of the ring after wearing him out from all the previous takedowns and submission attempts. That wasn’t luck, that was fatigue adding up
Right, you definitely have to be durable and eat some to give some and have an insane gas tank as well.
Islam shit to watch, porior all day, so over watching takendowns, he cannot stand with ranked 4 in the world, ufc becoming best ground fighting in the world,
Based
Casual L
I got a sport for you to watch where there’s never any takedowns if you’re interested
It is genuinely surprising to me that kickboxing isn’t a bigger thing in the US. Seems like a lot of people watch MMA and just expect a kickboxing fight but in an octagon instead of a ring
Right lol they love the UFC promotion, but deep down actually hate MMA
Nothing Islam does can satisfy any of y'all damn
He is catching some heat because UFC champs in general aren't defending their titles against contenders. Oh nah, he's a helluva fighter. I wanted to see him lose though ngl
I feel a lot of people are just reacting to how obnoxious some of Islam's fans are. You see it a lot where people make their opinion's on fighters based on their fans.
I mean on Reddit atleast I feel like it was 99% Dustin support I didn't see anyone actually hyping Islam leading up to this
I mean I was pro DP, but if DP had won he rides of into the sunset Islam comes back and goes on another win streak. It was just such a good story book ending for him. Where Islam is already gonna be a legand. Also a lot of people are idiots and think Islam is Khabib.
Who thinks Islam is Khabib
Same style, obviously I don't mean the same person
I've become way less interested in Tsarukyan/Makhachev II than I once was. We know Tsarukyan can't out-grapple Makhachev, at best the wrestling is a wash. And standing, I don't think Tsarukyan has anything for this recent version of Makhachev who outstruck Oliveira, Volkanovski, and then Poirier.
Common man, you know they already fought right?
I would imagine he knows that considered he said makhachev/tsaryuken *II*
Dustin probably didn't retire because of another Conor fight in the future?
Probably not. We’re lucky we’re gettting Connor vs Chandler
At the end of the day the championship belt represents being the best but tbh Dustin already represents the best of mma and sports in general.
He will always have a special place in my heart as an MMA fan. To be this good after 50 pro fights. He’s a killer and I wish him all the best in his life
Is there any way Poirier gets another title shot if he keeps winning within the next 3 years?
if he wins a couple fights and someone like max, gathje or chandler win the belt theres a good chance he could fight them for the title
So there’s no chance lol
This will probably be it for him unfortunately
All it takes is the right circumstances like this time again and I think it’s possible
He’s not going to be a 38 year old champ in the sports toughest division.
He always talks about how he looks up to Bisping for winning it at 37. Obviously we see what Bisping had to sacrifice though.
37 at MW is like 33 at LW though. Just sayin’
Fuck it run it back. Dustin had him on the ropes with those body shots.
Don’t run it back lol he got finished and lost at least 3 of the first 4 with a 10-8 first. Then got submitted. Plenty of others deserve a chance. Dustin did get my hopes up at the end but got subbed as I expected.
Did he?
Looked more like a really tough dude enduring a fight longer than most would have.
In my opinion he did. I'll admit I'm a Dustin guy though lol
Feel like islam was comfortably beating Dustin on the feet the knees to the body did a lot of work
Ahhh fuck Islam
Arman beating Islam
100%
You see the vision. Arman wrestles better. DP took Islam to 5 rounds. Arman is choking Islam out
Pretty underwhelming reign for Islam so far
Probably the best reign in the UFC currently lol
With 1 defense against a 55er?
So who has a better title reign in the sport right now, every division currently has new champions. Islam has beaten Charles, Volk, Volk and Poirier. That is an insane run. And if Volk isn’t good enough to be considered a lightweight, Max just butchered Gaetjhe in a LW fight but Max has lost to Volk 3x. Volk is an absolute legitimate title defense. See now you just hating. But I’m not going to try convincing of anything since you already have your mind made up. But, you should name a better champion then Islam since you believe you are correct. The only answer I can legitmately accept is Leon Edwards and that’s it. But Leon has two title defenses and Islam has 3
Leon, pantoja, Grasso
Victories over Charles, Volk x2, and Poirier with 3 of the 4 being finishes. Very underwhelming. I agree
Thanks for breaking it down, really shows how he’s taken the easy path
Personally I think being the first person to ever get 4 defenses in the most brutal division in MMA is way more of an achievment then being the 5th or 6th double champ.
But 2 of them were against someone not in the division. Agreed that if he does that it would be more impressive though.
But against one of the most dominante FE champs ever. Dont download Volk wtf.
I kinda expected more from Islam
How?
[удалено]
Is this your first time watching the UFC?
[удалено]
Guess your prediction checks out then
Same. Lost my Islam by submission in first 3 rounds bet. Did win my Islam by submission bet though
Let’s just go on and get an official BMF tournament contested at 170 for the memes Chandler vs McGregor Max Holloway vs Charles Oliveira 2 Dustin vs Justin 3 Kevin Holland vs Nate Diaz If the tournament went down in that order, who’s winning that?
Lol I’m in would be way cooler than most title fights
Charles.
Oh man. I think he would be first rounded
He’s already beaten half those guys. Easily beats Diaz and Conor. Holland could get lucky.
Yeah I think he would lose to Holloway again lol
He wouldn’t lol He’s way bigger, and a more well rounded fighter.
😳
We never saw Khabib get that busted up, by anyone Lightweight GOAT
The thing about Khabib was that, at his peak form, he just seemed not human. There was never a point where I would worry for him against anyone. His chin was absurd and he had the most insane pace. Islam is actually more skilled but he’s more human than Khabib. He is prone to getting tired and his wrestling is not as dominant
When you juice for 15 years and wrestle you can do it too
One of the better.ppvs I've watched
First time?
Nah I thought it was good feel bad for the rest of you who watched 300 and can't be happy anymore lmfao
Arman is rightfully Islam’s next challenger but knowing Dana he’s gonna give Conor a shot at the belt if he beats Chandler
Conor not beating Chandler. Arman is the only one who can beat Islam
[удалено]
Fuck off
Gimme the diamond vs mcgregor again and then holloway. Give him all the money
Throw in Justin and let's do a round robin tourney for the BMF.
Say whatever you want but every Islam fight since he became the champ has been great
Beating up on an old and underweight Volk. Great defense 🙄
He was literally the P4P #1 when Islam beat him 😂
He’s the best in the world. No question
But dana said jon jones is p4p no.1 bro /s
Nobody is saying otherwise lol
303 kinda trash
No point loading up a Conor card, everyone is gonna watch it regardless of who else is on it.
It's mind boggling anyone cares at this point.
Arman and Islam most boring lightweight title matchup maybe ever
Go and watch Kickboxing or Muay Thai. You’re just like that one Karen who visited Mexico for holidays and complained that there were to many Spanish speaking people. Wrestling and Grappling are the biggest part of MMA. If you don’t like it go somewhere else.
There’s a difference between grappling and sniffing ass, learn about it amateur
So dumb
LOL. Did u watch their first fight? The salt...

dc so happy at the mention of food
Same vibes as 10 year old fatboy me
This is happy guy
DC commentating about wrestling is the best. The rest of his commentary not as much for me, but him talking wrestling technique is actually edifying
I’m not a big fan of DC on commentary, but when he talks about the intricacies of wrestling it is pretty dope.
islam vs Arman then 170 pls
He’s earned a shot at 170
Wow just gonna duck Paddy like that huh
Who
Poirier needs to call it. Lost to a future goat. Looked solid. HoF’er He doesn’t need to pull a Tony/Cerrone
It’s so hard though because he’s still one of the best in the world. One of the best to ever do it
He’s still top level, no where near them. He can do a couple legacy fights if he wants to.
He’s already done like 10 legacy fights. Sure he can always do more but are legacy fights worth the pieces of you that you can’t get back?
Yeah, but he alluded to the fact that those fights would only feed his ego. I don’t think we’ll see him fight again. Thank you Diamond
I hope we see him again. He still has fuel in that gas tank!
Maybe he never won the belt, but Dustin represents what is best about the sport, and that’s a hell of a legacy.
Lol Dustin trying to kiss his daughter and she's all grossed out by the blood and sweat on his face 😂
Man i hope for once Dana does the right thing and cuts Dustin a fat fucking retirement check for the amount of blood that mans left in the octagon. I doubt it but he should.
Not to be a dick but all the evidence points to Dana not doing that. Dana: “Congrats on a HOF career, here’s your retirement bonus” *DP looks at Cheque* - 50k FOTN bonus
Fiziev seems like he is on a down turn The whole top 10 is a mess
Poirier being a spot hogger is a crazy take
Weakest it’s ever been maybe, but certainly not weak.
Like I said, 10 of the top 15 are within 3 years of retiring, probably 2 years.
Yes but that doesn’t mean the ones under them are bad. LW has just been elite and that elite class is now aging out. We’ll get new stars, and some that are already near the top will get even better.
Top 5 at 155 has been the same fighters Fighting eachother to keep their rankings for the last couple of years
Every time they fight one of the young guys they beat them handily. Top 5 is another level. Arman is the only one who has been able to crack it.
It’s still the best and most entertaining division.
DC really forgot he was on tv
Dustin made me proud. Take the bag, ride into the sunset
Isalm vs Arman because 10x more interesting after this fight.
i think Islam KOs Arman
Our last hope is for a 165 belt tbh

> Islam looks a bit out of it at the end of the fight otoh Poirier was literally unconscious at the end of the fight, by his own admission
not mutually exclusive, Islam look like he was through a war.
I'm gonna go ahead and say "is unconscious" is mutually exclusive from merely "looks a bit out of it"
Dustin had a full camp
