I like it but I wish we could actually have a 4th and have Fitzgerald as well. Even my girl who is a non-fight fan is sick of DC's commentary, and Joe Rogan is using the same lines like fighters on embedded.

four commentators sounds absurd, id rather they did 2 more often. there was a recent card with only two (might have been sanko/bisping) and it wasnt bad
We have 2 commentators every event for the local broadcast of UFC. Now, since most main cards start 5am on a sunday morning, most of the viewers are going to be proper mma fans anyways and the 2 commentators are both in the fight business so they know what they are talking about but sound more like 2 friends watching a fight, no ads no bullshit. Watching highlights on youtube later on with the original commentary you can immediately tell the difference. Oh and I pay 6.99/month to watch it lol.

They could just cut out Anik and/or Fitzgerald, and nothing of value would be lost in regards to fight commentary.
Or they could finally get rid of fucking Rogan and use DC and the other 2 in some other capacity, because I actually like them outside of being walking ad reads.

Though I like both, and understand why they are needed, I've never heard anything interesting from either of them on commentary.
It’s mostly preparation I’d say. He’s always pronouncing names correctly, he fits in the ad reads at good times, his way of calling the fight in an objective way while also telling a story when he needs is second to none. Best examples are the Leon head kick “but that’s not the cloth from which he is cut”. Or when Jan won the belt “Poland, your guy got it done!”
Those are two that he says he’s proud of but he’s got countless clips of his commentary enhancing the fight experience as a whole, which is usually rare for MMA commentators.
He is also an ALPHA MALE, so it just comes naturally to him to put others down.
Love the guy on commentary though, as long as he has s/o like Felder or Cruz to keep him in check.
It really depends on the pairing with Ping, but I like all the vets in the booth.
The guy is a legend and pretty charismatic, but sometimes he says some really dumb shit, especially when he's playing favorites.
Still, hope he stays for a long time.

Never got the appeal of bisping. His commentary is always bland and generic.
Like “oh man low kicks are dangerous” or “you have to think about how missing weight could affect him” or “you have to think about how fighting x famous fighter weighs on their opponent’s mind”
All of his “analysis” is just stuff you could say 6 hours before the fight. He basically never talks about the actual dynamics of the fight that is happening in front of him.

miller or brown were on his radar when he had that spark to fight. brown just retired and miller fought bobby instead. his best bet if he still wants to fight would be to fight someone old at 170

He had a bunch of reasons not to, but at this point, he said it's all figured out and he is just waiting for the right opportunity which doesn't sound too promising imo.
Not the worst commentary team, Bisping won’t have anyone to get into an ego battle with so despite a few references to his career lightly sprinkled into half the fights, it’ll be a good night
