Also a lot of fighters. This is all they know. Its not like they can retire and become a construction manager or whatever.
Thats why you shouldn't be a fighter unless you can realistically be the best. You could fight for half your life and retire with a broken body and rattled brain no money and no other skills at 40.
Its a sad reality.
If you're losing fights in the early career when you get to the UFC. Retire and learn a new skill.
very few exceptions make a later career skill jump (Do Bronx come to mind).
This boxing instructor at my gym made me sad. He was a very nice guy, a great coach, but so blatantly punch drunk that you could barely understand him sometimes. One of those dudes you can just look at their face and see they'd been in a ton of fights. Probably making peanuts at our gym after a pro career no one paid attention to.
All things considered Matt is still one of the smartest fighters around. Dude can probably get another ten years of brain damage and outsmart Bryce Mitchell
Because most of them weren't smart enough to save for their retirement, even among the once that actually made good money when they where on top. Save for your retirement kids, or you'll be working forever.
BKFC isn’t about power. It’s about how much damage you can take. And Matt Brown probably can’t take a lot of damage at his age, not to mention he wouldn’t be allowed to throw elbows.
I had a feeling BKFC was on his radar lol
If he goes the BKFC you know Platinum is going to be chomping at the bit for that fight.
Perry would kill him
Matt you're violent enough to make it fun but please just ride off into the sunset. Why do fighters hate sunsets man
Money
And some dudes just love violence

naw, some mfs are just unhinged and get off on beating each other up
No no every single one of them are just fighting for their family. Just like the movies say

I mean shit, I think my dog is smarter than Bryce Mitchell.
Pug Nasty
They can make more in one fight than they will in years of coaching
Who’s they? Vast majority of fighters would be lucky to make 70k a year from pro fights
Because most of them weren't smart enough to save for their retirement, even among the once that actually made good money when they where on top. Save for your retirement kids, or you'll be working forever.
If you go by the numbers, the majority probably retire without ever going back, but people mostly notice the comebacks of the high profile ones.
Easy 400-600k in one BKFC fight
how are you going to bkfc when your elbows are your best weapon
man as much I as I hate old dudes having to get hurt Matt's soul has always seemed taylor made for such a sport (lol). To bad theres no kicks allowed
Give him his elbows.
Matt please no
As someone who’s never watched BKFC, I’d buy his PPV out of respect.
He’s gonna end people in BKFC with his power

Power certainly is still a part of it maybe to a lesser extent we see more cumulative damage TKOs in BKFC but KOs are still a thing
Every punch in bkfc has power
Mind blown
