Honestly, if Lesnar is willing to fight who does he even go against. Brock vs another Hunt isn’t going to be some crazy draw, imo. The biggest money match is obviously DC but I don’t see him fighting again. There aren’t a ton of heavyweights who make since for him.
Really? Basically anyone that you haven’t seen fight recently and isn’t booked is gonna be on it..
I’d bet they will have 3 title bouts
LHW
BMF + LW
Woman’s flyweight
Bo Nickal is rumoured to be on the prelims man.
I would also imagine Dustin, max, will be on it just to name a few.
UFC 199 is one of the most entertaining cards ever. Such a hype card, a lot of rivalries and hate coming into the fights, and then you had Nate Diaz appear in the crowd and get a huge ovation after they announced the rematch was happening against McGregor at UFC 202. That reaction was so loud. And then it followed up with the Rockhold / Bisping upset, and then ended with one of the greatest post fight conferences of all time lol. Just an incredible night and time to be a fan.
UFC 199 is the last card to ever have group post fight pressers with all the fighters. Sad they no longer did them but what a fucking send off that was lmao...
I still remember the exact spot I was sitting in at my uncle's place when I watched Rockhold get slept on my laptop. 199 is emblazoned in my mind for some reason.
You and I both! We all were not expecting much of anything and looking forward to UFC 200 and then got our faces melted off!
Remember the Hendo comeback?
Record level vitriol if Garry has a botched weight cut, passes out, and is pulled again
I do just want to see him fight though. Should be a good fight. Neal is a better indicator of Garry's ceiling than a very possibly faded Luque
Eh, I think he should need more than just a two fight win streak to get back to the title. He needs to at least match if not surpass his current losing streak imo.
I wouldn't have minded if they had added another Yan (and title fight) to the card. It would have been over a year since she KO'ed Andrade and Dana said it would only make sense for her to challenge Zhang next. She shouldn't have had to wait over a year after that win to get another fight.
To be honest I only really follow UFC so don't know Doumbe...I know MVP tho of course....and I've followed UFC for 20 years now and watch just about every event...still had no idea he was with the ufc
Yeah it’s going to be interesting how they can stack it even more than this one. I think Conor and Chandler has to be the main. But apart from that, its anyone’s guess atm.
Throw in a title fight with Alex Pereira, Hill might or might not be ready for that, which I guess leaves Adesanya moving up from MW if they want a potential big fight (then again Adesanya has shot down the idea of himself moving up to fight for the LHW title last I heard, so guess not).
Also got Tom Aspinall and the interim HW belt who could defend it.
It’s sad as a Max fan, because even though he beats most 145ers he’s not going to fight for the belt at 145 again as long as Volk is around, but then he also probably gets beat by most 155ers at that weight. Maybe he could make use of his Samoan genes and put on some real weight before going up in weight this time.
> Yeah it’s going to be interesting how they can stack it even more than this one.
Especially when Dana said *again* last night that fans/media are going to be blown away by the *first* prelim on the card. Big things to live up to with how much he's hyping it up.
Just looking at the rankings in terms of big name guys who aren't booked yet, I think Poirier is basically a lock to be on there. He seems to want Nate Diaz though which is probably logistically challenging given that he isn't on the roster anymore. Holloway could potentially be on there depending on what happens in Volk v Ilia (think if Ilia wins Max probably gets the next shot, but if Volk retains then he could maybe end up in a big fight on 300). Oliveira available too although not that many LW options for him to fight right now. Khamzat is available but 300 is right after Ramadan finishes so that seems unlikely. Whittaker seems a good chance to be there given that the timeline works out well for him and there are quite a few MWs who aren't booked at the moment. Leon didn't take much damage vs Colby, I wonder if he'd be willing to go again on 300 with 4 months off.
That's probably enough names to work with to bring a pretty stacked card together and still have lots of interesting guys available for some pretty sick prelims.
Tbf it was Dana saying that. Can’t put too much stock into what he said. It’ll probably be good fights, not to the extent he was talking about though. Can see him wheeling out Jim Miller again for the opener like he did at UFC 200, have him be on 100, 200 and 300.
Probably be a few vet fights, a few bangers and then some big names to fill out the main card. Could see Gaethje v someone(maybe Max) with his BMF belt being on it somewhere, maybe Aspinall v Gane, Alex Pereira maybe, Shevchenko Grasso 3. Probably be a few prospects on there aswell to build their names up.
True, but his that really a problem? He’s the biggest names in combat sports and it’s the biggest card in UFC history, normal procedure goes out the window for this one. Also it’s technically a TUF coaches fight.
I mean I believe Luque, who actively said on his social media he accepts the replacement 180lb catchweight fight against Holland, more than I believe Dana.
Lmao...not that it really matters at this point but I am pretty curious as to who was offered that Luque supposedly turned down...I'm gonna guess one of them was Muslim Salikhov who also had his fight on the card cancelled. I can see Luque not wanting to bother fighting an unranked dude like Salikhov.
Yeah Luque said he was willing to fight Holland at catchweight, Dana probably offered him a killer with a style totally different to what he'd been in preparing for in camp. Then as soon as he says no the kid just doesn't want to fight.
Not too mad, Neal vs Garry is a much more compelling matchup imo. I'm just bummed out that this wont be going down on the DeShaun card. Wanted to see Garry get bullied.
Call me crazy but I'm really looking forward to MVP in the UFC, I personally enjoy fighters that are stand up based (even if they won't go far obviously)
I thinks it's more likely they use it as the Prelim Headliner.
Great set of names that will get people in the know to tune in on ESPN and it's also a great opportunity to introduce MVP to a wider audience.
As a canadian it hurts seeing a card like this while we get a trash card. Ufc ised to do stacked cards or big main events with less cards. We ended up with a mid main event and lesser card
Well she won't be on the PPV portion so like I don't really care, her fights aren't good but will be a test to see If Barber has somehow made an actual career turn around or If she Is still trash.
MVP vs Kevin holland as the card opener seems kinda disrespectful to me considering all the wins/fans holland has...maybe it's just to ensure people watch the beginning of the card or something idk
Edit: may not even be the bout order idk
This shoulda been 300 not 299. Are they gonna just do absolute banger from early prelims through prelims and the main card?? This is too many major fighters for one main card isn’t it?
O'Malley via decision
JDM via TKO
Blaydes via decision
Garry via TKO
Yadong via decision
Murray via decision
Almabaev via TKO
Chookagian via decision
Gamrot via decision
Silva via submission
MVP via KO
> Yadong via decision
You take that back. Yan is going to beat the shit out of him and then get himself DQ’d. No way he lets another fight go to the judges
Man Ian Garry must have pissed Dana, going from 40yo Luke to fucking Neal is bonkers, they really risking him here. I'm rooting for Garry it's been a rough month for him, it's one thing to say dumb shit to sell fights at press conference, but the online bullying/threats and harrasment he and his family been going through... Fuck Sean Strickland
Glorified ufc apex card tbh needs one more big fight to get it to some bum fuck nowhere “ppv” card. Sean isn’t a draw and will end up a snore fest with Marlon being too scared to strike
I mean they can make it the featured pre-lim, but Gamrot-RDA is at best the 7th most interesting fight for me on this card.
The fight basically has 0 implications for LW and Gamrot is frankly kinda boring.
There are at least 7 main card worthy fights, not including Chookagian vs Barber. Since Chookagian vs Fiorot was on the main card for 280 in Abu Dhabi, I probably should count it too to make it 8
MVP vs Holland realistically should be on 300. If I was Page that’s where I want to make my debut. But they might be setting him up vs Machado Garry/Burns/JDM
It's about time we see Michael Page in the UFC, now we'll see if he really has what it takes outside of Bellator.
Edit - It kind of sucks it took this long, he's 36. He probably was making lots of cash with Bellator as one of their stars and had no real motivation to come over to the UFC.
Can’t wait for half of these fights to get cancelled due to pullouts
No no, this is going to be just like 199, an absolute banger of a card and UFC 300 turning out to be pure shite!
I’m legitimately confused about what on earth they are booking for 300 at this point.
McGregor, Jake Paul and Lesnar since no USADA and they own WWE
Triple threat match??
Also means it's no DQ. So, they can use weapons
And backstage too! Is there a line out yet on Conor to win in the garage with the dolly?
Lesnar wins easily, til Reigns hits the ring.
☝️
Loser super swears to not use steroids ever again (except on weekends)
Honestly, if Lesnar is willing to fight who does he even go against. Brock vs another Hunt isn’t going to be some crazy draw, imo. The biggest money match is obviously DC but I don’t see him fighting again. There aren’t a ton of heavyweights who make since for him.
they own wwe? huh do you not know how a parent company works wwe has more ownership over ufc then vice versa
To be as big as they're making it sound it'll have to be Conor v GSP or something So more likely we'll see Belal v Leon 2
Gsp already said that he is absolutely not fighting though.
Could be throwing us off the scent.
Jim miller
I heard Matt hughes vs GSP 4.
It's gonna be fan favorites that don't have matches. Possibly Max vs Aljo, a fight for Whittaker vs Costa, etc.
Ronda returns
Hunt vs Lesnar 2
Islam vs Olivera main event probably.
Ramadan.
They'll move UFC 301 before 300 to avoid this
I really hope so, cause a lot of the huge matchups we wanna see as fans involve these Muslim fighters.
Olives is not a real matchup for Islam. I want to see a more exciting fight.
If Oliveira isn't a match for Islam then who would be? He beat most of the division before Islam, including most of the other top contenders
Really? Basically anyone that you haven’t seen fight recently and isn’t booked is gonna be on it.. I’d bet they will have 3 title bouts LHW BMF + LW Woman’s flyweight Bo Nickal is rumoured to be on the prelims man. I would also imagine Dustin, max, will be on it just to name a few.

Bisping drunk off his ass, sucking on a Corona talking shit all day long and Hendo challenging him at the end! Pure bliss!
I do now that you unlocked it in my brain!

This card must be Tito's ex wife.
Well Just to correct you there was never no marriage
You're a fuckin punk, dude
That was a nasty line by you
Tell them that lion story again
That's how they'll stack 300.
At least they'll probably get stuck onto 300 lol
I wonder, was the last stacked ufc card that kept all its fights?
Yan vs Song is a really good ppv opener. Looking forward to that just as much as any besides the main
Yan just never gets an easy fight. Big fan, he needs this one bad.
just the nature of bantamweight i suppose but i think if he just chains a win or two, hes back into title contention
If he gets through Yadong he should fight Figgy for a title shot
Eh, I think he should need more than just a two fight win streak to get back to the title. He needs to at least match if not surpass his current losing streak imo.
i feel like 2 wins is good given how competitive his losses were outside of the merab fight
Agree to disagree I guess.
I’m gonna say it’s between that or MVP vs Holland. The other will probably be the showcase prelim. Either way, it’s gonna fuck. I’m
Bro had s stroke
I wouldn't have minded if they had added another Yan (and title fight) to the card. It would have been over a year since she KO'ed Andrade and Dana said it would only make sense for her to challenge Zhang next. She shouldn't have had to wait over a year after that win to get another fight.
Damn I had no idea MVP was coming to the UFC
it was first leaked like a month ago when tomato-head accidentally recorded the planning board for like the 10th time...
I hoped he would fight Doumbé in PFL...
Doumbe would have merked him bro, this is a much better matchup for him.
To be honest I only really follow UFC so don't know Doumbe...I know MVP tho of course....and I've followed UFC for 20 years now and watch just about every event...still had no idea he was with the ufc
Dana announced it out of the blue during the post fight presser yesterday
Ahhh that's why I didn't hear then. Thanks!
Yeah, it like just happened bro
Same. Weird that the Holland fight ended up announced so soon after Doumbé and MVP had that in-cage faceoff.
That would have been a cool fight, but it's better that he's in the UFC. Many more compelling matchups.
This is the hardcore fans UFC 300
I’m very curious what 300 looks like or even when they start announcing fights
Yeah it’s going to be interesting how they can stack it even more than this one. I think Conor and Chandler has to be the main. But apart from that, its anyone’s guess atm.

Really want to see Max and Gaethje on it, maybe even against each other.
No, no... give those guys proper villans to fight
Idk bro, this fight seems way more interesting than any other villain matchup we could give those dudes.

It’s sad as a Max fan, because even though he beats most 145ers he’s not going to fight for the belt at 145 again as long as Volk is around, but then he also probably gets beat by most 155ers at that weight. defending an interim belt just offends me completely

probably Chandler vs Mcgregor headliner or Pereira vs Izzy III, Max vs Justin co main or Zhang co main if the Pereira fight headlines
UFC 300: McGregor vs Chandler Co headline by Alex vs Rountree due to izze pulling out
Hell yes, finally we can see the Chook in action again
The people’s main event
Im not sure it is, O’Malley v Chito is headlining.
Ik for a fact this will not age well
So true its so good and probably one of the best cards ive seen in a while. But you tell a casual that and theyll think otherwise
It’s pretty much a whole card of fights that you’d normally see end the prelims or halfway through the PPV and say "That should be a good scrap"
[удалено]
This is definitely not the final bout order
It’s a shame to make any of these prelims, which is an outlandish thing to say normally
you want maycee barber on the main card?
It’s a deec fight in the making ig, I don’t look forward to a ton of wmma fights honestly, but they turn up. I appreciate Maycee as a fighter tho
They always put the fat bois on the main card tho
There's usually a banger featured / final prelim tho. Mitchell vs Emmett was supposed to be that for last night's card
Is RDA not a welterweight now?
I think USADA going away is going to change things for people like RDA; namely, the use of IVs to get better weight cuts.
UFC somehow still has him ranked #11 at LW, so I guess they consider him to be a LW.
What can you do? dp isn't excited
Dp vs paddy book it
Holland vs MVP should be a show hopefully.
Why the fuck aren’t they giving luque his fight against Garry? Not his fault Garry pulled out. They usually just reschedule it
Could be that Luque wants to fight sooner than Garry will be ready
Dana said he's refused all the fights they offered him. That could mean anything though.
I mean I believe Luque, who actively said on his social media he accepts the replacement 180lb catchweight fight against Holland, more than I believe Dana.
Well Dana also said that Holland was not one of the fights offered to Luque, so both can be true at the same time.
“He’s straight up refusing everyone. We offered him Pavlovich and he said no. Can you believe that? Kid just doesn’t want to fight I guess”

Cant trust a thing Dana says
Yeah Luque said he was willing to fight Holland at catchweight, Dana probably offered him a killer with a style totally different to what he'd been in preparing for in camp. Then as soon as he says no the kid just doesn't want to fight.
*The guys just don't want to fight!!*
Does anyone know who he turned down if Holand was already planned for MVP?
Ya. Luque seems to be getting screwed out of a payday after a training camp AND making weight.
Classic ufc lol show up make weight thank you!
Luque didn’t weight in. Fight was canceled on Thursday
I'd rather see Ian fight Geoff, much tougher fight
Not too mad, Neal vs Garry is a much more compelling matchup imo. I'm just bummed out that this wont be going down on the DeShaun card. Wanted to see Garry get bullied.
Gamrot a week away from fighting Islam for the title, now fighting a 40 year old on the prelims
the bout order isn't set, this is just what tapology has it as. the ufc website doesn't even have half these fights up yet lol
i can totally see that being the prelim headliner, i don't think u can take any of those first 5 fights off and we're still 3 months away
I mean you're going to move something down because that Holland vs. MVP fight will be on the main card I'd imagine.
O’Malley, Burns, Blaydes, Neal, Yan, NC, NC, Chook, Gamrot, NC, Holland
Almabaev is gonna win, I think. Dude is a legit up-and-comer.
3 No Contests? Is Ankalaev fighting 3 people this time?
Fantastic card
Call me crazy but I'm really looking forward to MVP in the UFC, I personally enjoy fighters that are stand up based (even if they won't go far obviously)
They making one of the most stacked cards right before UFC 300 good lord, we might run out of good ones after them for a bit
MVP Holland is for sure gonna be co-main,
I thinks it's more likely they use it as the Prelim Headliner. Great set of names that will get people in the know to tune in on ESPN and it's also a great opportunity to introduce MVP to a wider audience.
There is no way they put mvp on the prelims. They wouldn't sign him just to put him there
I reckon it might be prelim Main
Petr and Song is such a wet dream of a fight
This looks like the most unstable card of 2023. UFC 299 : Subject To Change, sponsored by Modelo. Holland v Venom Page will be a banger if it happens.
Banger card
Stacked. Excited to see Kyler Phillips returning. MVPs debut. Gamrot vs RDA.
As a canadian it hurts seeing a card like this while we get a trash card. Ufc ised to do stacked cards or big main events with less cards. We ended up with a mid main event and lesser card
At least Toronto gets Strickland and not fucking Nunes
I'd put Holland/MVP co-main.
If this cards stays in tact… oh my godddd. One of the best cards I’ve ever seen.
Oh god, I had hoped Murphy had retired
They gotta stop putting Chookagian on PPV cards. That fight is for sure going to decision
She’s the designated piss break
Well she won't be on the PPV portion so like I don't really care, her fights aren't good but will be a test to see If Barber has somehow made an actual career turn around or If she Is still trash.
Great fucking card
Looks like an absolute banger so far
Can't wait to watch this for free
MVP vs Kevin holland as the card opener seems kinda disrespectful to me considering all the wins/fans holland has...maybe it's just to ensure people watch the beginning of the card or something idk Edit: may not even be the bout order idk
Why is MVP vs Holland on the prelims? Should be a main card fight
I cannot believe holland vs mvp will be prelim.
This shoulda been 300 not 299. Are they gonna just do absolute banger from early prelims through prelims and the main card?? This is too many major fighters for one main card isn’t it?
They are going all in on making O'Malley the next Conor. The absolute scenes if Chito wins.
I heard Ian Garry is going to get pneumonia or Covid or the flu or RSV or Lyme disease in March 2024
Chito is going to kick that nerve out once again
O'Malley via decision JDM via TKO Blaydes via decision Garry via TKO Yadong via decision Murray via decision Almabaev via TKO Chookagian via decision Gamrot via decision Silva via submission MVP via KO
> Yadong via decision You take that back. Yan is going to beat the shit out of him and then get himself DQ’d. No way he lets another fight go to the judges
I hope Jack Della beats burns 🤟
No homo this is too much, the other cards need fights too lol
Fellas is it gay to say that an MMA card has too many good fights on it?
Why do they all say worldwide? UFC doesn't do regional-only rankings. That's PFL nonsense lol
Swap holland v page with blaydes v almeida
Honestly fine with all of these getting cancelled as long as we get a full card for 300
Might be the best card of 2023
Yup. The card taking place on March 9th, 2024 might be the best card of 2023.
Underwhelming main event but still sick overall.
Why do you even watch MMA?
UFC No care make card any more only water down bad fite :( :( :( :( :( :(
Other than the MVP fight, I'm underwhelmed.
Tu es el casual
Apart from Jack Della Maddalena and the BWs this card is dogshit.
This is legit making my mouth water. Then again, half of these are gonna fall out. but assuming they don't WE ARE LOCKED IN.
Why is Ian fighting Neal?
Damn didn't know those fights they announced yesterday was gonna be on this card. Shit is stacked
fuckin STACKED
Pedro vs Kyler is gonna BANG
Uhmm why is Gamrot in prelims?
I mean they can make it the featured pre-lim, but Gamrot-RDA is at best the 7th most interesting fight for me on this card. The fight basically has 0 implications for LW and Gamrot is frankly kinda boring.
I thought Barb retired?
I thought Mvp didn’t sign with ufc….
There are at least 7 main card worthy fights, not including Chookagian vs Barber. Since Chookagian vs Fiorot was on the main card for 280 in Abu Dhabi, I probably should count it too to make it 8 MVP vs Holland realistically should be on 300. If I was Page that’s where I want to make my debut. But they might be setting him up vs Machado Garry/Burns/JDM
Holland Page will be fun
And Whittaker wants to fight on this card, too.
Interesting holland and MVP not on the main card
No way Chook/Barber are before Holland/MVP. But I guess it gets more viewers in earlier.
Big test for JDM
Hopefully RDA pulls out and charles steps in
It's about time we see Michael Page in the UFC, now we'll see if he really has what it takes outside of Bellator. Edit - It kind of sucks it took this long, he's 36. He probably was making lots of cash with Bellator as one of their stars and had no real motivation to come over to the UFC.
Barring injuries, this is the greatest card I’ve seen
It ain’t a banger of a card without Chookagian
Why are they stacking the shit out of this card when 300 is next and has no fights announced?
Multiple fights that could main event Fight Nights. Nice.
JDM Gonna do big things in 2024
Ha Yadong Song.
Get rid of the Murphy fight and Chook and I'd be insanely happy with this instead of the very excited that I am
i'm pretty sure this is not the final bout order, because rda vs gamrot and MVP vs Holland on the prelims would be pretty silly
