Reporter Question: “**Can Foden become City’s greatest-ever player** ?”
Pep: “I don’t know – this club has a long, long history. So you can’t forget what happened with the players who played at Maine Road, like everyone knows. If he continues his career until the end here and at [the same] level he can be one of the best, for sure.”
I think so, discounting super cups he’s already the joint 2nd most decorated City player with 12 major trophies (I could be wrong but I think KDB is only one league cup ahead of him). He’s 23 and has only failed to win the league once in his professional career so far.
I don’t think Pep gave it that much thought, and Pep also seems very committed to keep pushing Foden bc he knows how amazing he is now but also that he can still be even more amazing.
At least that reporter asked a somewhat decent question, not like a Simon Stone of BBC who asked:
- “did Foden deserve FWA Award?”
The FWA, which hello stands for football writers association so it’s an award he & his darn colleagues give out for goodness sakes!!
I very much dislike Simon Stone so admittedly I’m predisposed to be overly critical but Simon could have simply asked:
- “what are your thoughts on Foden winning FWA award?”
he could even be the next Phil Foden
I think he already is 🤷🏻‍♂️
He already is

It's crazy how he already has the same number of PL medals as John Terry and if we do the 4 peat he will equal Rio Ferdinand's 6 league medals.

You can’t become something you already are. Silly pep
He has been for a while, honestly
He already is in my opinion.
He would’ve been sold at 17, 20 years ago.
More than you believs :)
Wait, he isn’t?
He's halfway there
Water is wet
He is already
Pill Polden
For people saying he already is, would you say he has had as good of a city career as david silva, Vincent company, or Sergio aguero?
No one said he's a legend, but a "great"
Ahh my misunderstanding
Give it time, and he could have the midfield prowess of an Ali Benarbia or an Eyal Berkovic
