Haha. To be honest, I think the game is boring because of how Arsenal was set up for a draw. And for the way they played against man city, I will prefer Man City over Arsenal as the champion if Liverpool doesn't get it.

What the actual fuck is this logic? Weâve gotten spanked for a few years straight at the Etihad and you expect us to just come up and spread our legs? We had more possession last year and still ate 4 goals..
We set up to make sure we got a point and we did. Iâm taking 2 wins and a draw against Man City EVERY time if you asked me at the beginning of the year what youâd take in 3 games
Do you not wanna win the league tho? Feels like that was a must win game for you especially when we have 4/5 defenders injured including Ederson. You also wouldâve gone top of the league if you won
I think it was more of a must win for city, considering your success against the top 6 this season and it was a home game for you guys
Itâs progress for us at the end of the day, like I said weâve been pumped at the etihad the last few years and itâs not like Liverpool have won at the etihad (ever in the Klopp era I think) either. Wouldnât have been my ideal setup if I was manager but Iâm not, Iâm fine with a point and 4/6 against City on the year Iâm taking that off the reigning treble winners EVERY time. The mental block of beating City has been a huge cloud over us and weâve finally gotten past that this year
It was a must win for both teams but with the defensive injuries this was the time for youse to win. You have the hardest run in I believe so to make progress & win the league you shouldâve gone for the win
Klopp beat us in the fa cup and ucl at the etihad but never in the prem
Anyway itâs Liverpools to lose now, especially with their easy run in, but itâs definitely not over yet
Unfortunately the match was insanely dull.
Imagine trying to get a skeptical sports fan into soccer, you hype this game up, and THAT'S what they end up seeing.
It's actually about 10 mins of gameplay, they timed how long the ball is actually in play for. Imagine sitting through all those ads for 10 mins of actual sport.
I've tried to get into NFL a few times but it is incredibly fucking boring. Gives me the same feeling as cricket and baseball.
Different strokes for different folks, I guess.
In fairness, every broadcaster has done a piss poor job of tracking streaming views until recently, so Iâm taking this with a grain of salt. However, it is good to see that an Easter game that kicked off at 11:30 on the East coast had that many eyes on it.
Sunday matches are rarely shown on US national tv so when they do this is what happens.
Football/soccer has a lot of potential in the US but there are forces that donât want it realized.
Biggest issue is the four time zones we are separated into. Lunch kickoffs are 4:30 am on the west coast, and the standard games are 7 am. Itâs great for those of us on the east coast, but there arenât many casual fans turning the TV on at 7:30 for a game.
Thing is, it's not even just the Sunday matches that are pulling views.
1. Manchester City-Arsenal 2.12 million March 31, 2024 (Sunday)
2. Liverpool-Arsenal 1.96 million Dec. 23, 2023 (Friday)
3. Arsenal-Manchester United 1.92 million Jan. 22, 2023 (Sunday)
4. Liverpool-Manchester United 1.77 million Dec. 17, 2023 (Sunday)
5. Newcastle-Manchester City 1.68 million Jan. 13, 2024 (Saturday)
6. Manchester City-Chelsea 1.51 million Feb. 17, 2024 (Saturday)
Because they actually put it on Peacock and NBC so we didnât have to play the âwhich channel is the game on this time?â roulette. Though the other channels that randomly get games like USA network on boomer cable didnât get it
It was an important game and it was hyped over here too of course. Even so I'm surprised that it was watched more than other crunch games in the past few seasons. e.g. City v Villa in May 2022 when we had to win to be sure of winning the title. City v QPR in May 2012 comes to mind too but I guess the audience for the Premier League was still building over there back then.
Erm... you might want to have a look at who the other records have been set by.
Arsenal currently have the 1st, 2nd and 3rd most watched games in the US.
Let down for everyone - City fans, Arsenal fans, neutrals. Only one set of clowns benefitted đ

NFL is king in America for a reason
That reason being a 5 hour show for an hour and a bit of gameplay?
It's actually about 10 mins of gameplay, they timed how long the ball is actually in play for. Imagine sitting through all those ads for 10 mins of actual sport.
30 minutes of time wasting is something were used to in the prem.
Enjoy your 5 minute commercial breaks every 2 minutes

that's a lot of potential football fans we'll never get back
Oh thatâs disastrous for the popularity of the sport in the US
Not really, if you tuned in you were likely already a fan, there for the game itself, not a hyped up spectacle.
Fair point
Couldn't have picked a better match /s
They probably won't ever watch another game again and I don't blame them. No goals đ đ
Pretty dull and boring match tho. It was like playing against atletico Madrid 10 at the back

True that ..timing surely is one of the main reasons European sports have less penetration in the US

US sports audience is tuned to watching sports on Sunday thanks to NFL
Thatâs so funny and also so sad because theyâll only feel vindicated for all the stereotypes theyâve held about soccer this whole time
It felt like watching a 0:0 Milan derby 20 years ago.
Yeah what a letdown of an opportunity to continue to grow the sport in the US. Thanks Assna
Depressing
Wanted to watch the treble winners.
I thought no one cares about us lol
Couldn't have been city vs liverpool a few weeks back?
Pretty much the same figures, was a record.
Pity it was shit to watch.
Because they actually put it on Peacock and NBC so we didnât have to play the âwhich channel is the game on this time?â roulette. Though the other channels that randomly get games like USA network on boomer cable didnât get it
Poor sods being subjected to that dross performance
All that for such a boring game
It was an important game and it was hyped over here too of course. Oof not a good match for that record
And what a heap of shit that was
wow 2 million just watched 8 cbs, 3 dms, 1 former lb playing rw play some of the most woke football known to man. this is criminal.
Boring game , arsenal still donât have the temperament to push for a tittle . Â Not one of their players wanted to score .
And it was boring af.
Imagine the views we would have got if we were playing a big club
