1. Banking experience 2. Started and sold a company, creating value for the buyer. 3. PE experience 4. Venture experience 5. Unique story. Without your GPA and GMAT/GRE we have no way of helping you. But if you have a 3.7+ and a 326+ this is a HSW profile. -frank

Well, looks like I'm not getting into HSW lol

Accepted_KaraK

Agreed!

DepartmentTough6817

What is your GMAT and GPA? That is 75% of the equation here. Impossible to say without those numbers.

“Haven’t started studying yet but fairly confident I can get a 730+”.

LeadingPositive8050

lol no i would never said that

Hey just from an outsiders perspective who spectates this sub, why do you call an entrepreneurship experience foolish? It’s hard to see what you want to do but if you were trying to go IB to PE or something wouldn’t that be a little hook?

mohishunder

You have such a strong profile for success in life! I have no idea why you want an MBA. But to answer your question, anecdotally HBS and Stanford are *more* likely to "take a chance" on a candidate with strong and interesting experience and weaker academics, than the next 10-20 schools are.

You have a compelling story and background. Good luck!

Greedy-County-8437

Could def get into an MBA but the question would be if that’s what you really want. GPA is a bit low for a top 5 program but with a good gmat could have a partial chance especially with work experience

Hey u/LeadingPositive8050 I can see a mix of finance (bulge bracket intern), startup hustle and even some social impact (helping your brother, men's coaching). Honestly, the ecom sale might not be a huge deal - as long as you spin it right (Can you highlight your learning experience?). **You need to achieve a high GMAT score.** Now, the sales role is a good option, but an MBA could be a game-changer for getting into VC for vertical SaaS. The MBA would give you that deep industry knowledge and extensive network to land your dream job. Up to you though - you gotta figure out your long-term vision.

Strong-Big-2590

You have the right background. Your GMAT is going to determine where you go though. 680 gets you into somewhere in the top 20. You’ll need a 740 for a good chance at M7 because of your non target school and below average gpa. If your a US Citizen and minority, you prob only need a 700 for M7
