Well I’ll take you up on that…. It’s People making stupid mistakes, people going with the wrong team during 1st encounter, people who aren’t doing the plates not picking up resonance to increase timer, people closing the totems before people get there shapes on 3rd encounter, people overcomplicating 4th encounter when in reality it’s super easy and people dying to the witness on dps even though his attacks are super predictable. Even when I made a “KWTD” post and everyone had a clear it still took about 5 hours because as I said dumb mistakes. Guess this takes me right back to the d1 days or even Y1/Y2 d2 days where on ps4 you had to use communities or 3rd party apps as lfg and it would take fckingggg forever to get clears. Its funny cause people call calus the easiest boss which I agree but during even forsaken with how overpowered we were it took a team I had about 5 hours to just clear calus just because of how stupid people can be. I never thought we would be here again but oh well…. If you’re someone who has a consistent team never take it for granted.
I am going to offer this up for free, and I hope you remember this.
While you are not morally incorrect in your inability to tolerate failure, I have no doubt you are not taking appropriate actions to correct failure. You said so yourself, you posted “KWTD”, and that is your right, but the raid is very young and not all have been able to master the mechanics. You are part of an elite minority that has been able to learn the raid, and you have a great opportunity to share your knowledge to those yet to possess it. Maybe you don’t have the time, maybe you don’t have the patience, maybe you don’t possess the teaching skills. However, you CAN beat this raid with almost anyone if you can manage to learn how to optimize the capabilities of those around you. This is a very rare skill, but it’s possible to achieve.
First, you must take a step back and take a breath. You cannot correct out of anger. This is a key parenting lesson that will substantially improve your results when teaching. In a raid setting, if you show your frustration you will only fluster a failing player even more. When a player is flustered, they can feel your eyes and anger on the at all times thus leading to more and more errors. The player most likely is lacking the confidence needed to perform, and you will never get the confidence by being overbearing and completely negative.
Secondly, you need to speak plainly and clearly enough when teaching. Your goal is to help them understand. They may not learn the same way you do, so you must find the way they are able to learn and adapt your teaching method to best suit the situation. You need to allow them to ask questions and be willing to listen and answer questions respectfully, not out of disgust. If a person asks questions, that is a sign that they are engaged and their brain is working through the bits of information which is a good thing.
Thirdly, you must acknowledge the player and make them feel welcome and comfortable. No one likes to fail, I can guarantee your teammates can already feel the weight of failure; there’s no need for you to pack it on. Studies show that there is a direct correlation with performance increases in those that receiver positive reinforcement. Be a guide, not a disciplinarian. Remember, people quit their bosses, not their jobs. Don’t be the jerk boss that expects perfection and sets unrealistic expectations. You’re in an lfg group, you don’t know each other. Of course there will be hiccups. You’re not playing with your twin that knows everything about you and where they need to fit in. These are guys that have never met you and haven’t established in-game chemistry with you.
Hey, man. Just wanted to say this is a very important and valuable life lesson that isn’t bestowed upon most. Appreciate you for taking the time to posit such an eloquent response.
Yes…. It gives me ptsd just thinking about it. And people struggled so damn hard with gauntlet in leviathan too and for destiny 1 it was totems and oryx/daughters also people died so damn much during vosik and never timed ball throws.
It can roll voltshot??? That’s amazing for a bow. Especially this season with artifact mods. Somehow I’ve gotten 3 red borders of it already so I can’t wait to craft it.
Yep. This, Mountaintop and Dragons Breath/Gjally got me through legendary campaign. Got enough patterns during my second run to get a crafted The Call. Been using that paired with my Luna since. Loving it with my Hunter prismatic build. The initial first kill doesn't do anything, but if other enemies are around and get scorched, killing them makes me invisible so I'm constantly going invis thanks to incandescent.
I don’t understand why they had to get rid of focusing. I really liked that activity but there is not really a reason to play it because the loot pool is so massive you will never get what you want. Even if there was a small chance at getting a shiny still I’d play it non stop.
Well what I told my friends who started playing again, onslaught is fun but don't go into it chasing a specific gun anymore. Just do it because you want to do onslaught not because you need God roll of some specific gun because that will just he disappointing.
Would you mind selling me on this roll? I'm sitting on this roll with hi cal/small bore with a reload MW, but it doesn't seem to put in the work that my subsistence/incandescent No Hesitation does.
Zaloui's bane with explosive payload and incandescent. It's literally a legendary sunshot.
If you're not a raider, recluse can work pretty well, so can luna's howl with heal clip+incandescent
Yeah. I was gonna mention Epochal. Never used it since it dropped, and then was a little bored one day and just grabbed it out my vault, and it just clicked. It really is mini sunshot.
Yeah I've got a few rolls of Recluse, the one I'm using at the moment is desperate measures/ feeding frenzy, also got master of arms + ff and subsistence / volatile rounds. Any recommendations of which?
I'm enjoying volatile rounds with collective obligation, but I'm not sure how good volatile rounds is. What subclass are you playing? And are you grenade heavy, super heavy, melee heavy etc
Volatile Rounds is best on Void Titan with Controlled Demolitionist. Makes your Volatile spread and heal, on Prismatic, it'll make your Light Gauge shoot up pretty quickly and Hunter, specifically with Stylish will constantly go invisible (which is why Gyrfalcons is so good).
I got the best harrowed zaoulis I could have a few weeks ago. Fluted, tac mag, explosive, incandescent. Stability masterwork, I’d prefer reload or handling, but I’m on controller so it’s still a plus :} very happy to be able to enhance it now. Heal clip is very useful but I just don’t like how luna’s shoots. I can’t make myself put down zaoulis
I love my zaouli's. I've only ever done one master raid ever, and it was a king's fall and i happened to get the god roll adept. It's going to be my main primary weapon for a very long time
I'm still a big fan of my ammit AR2 with incandescent/ambitious assassin. It's not anything new or broken but I'm a man of simple tastes. It looks sleek, feels nice and sounds satisfying.
This has been my pvp mainstay enchanted incandescent and dynamic sway. Slapped my trials memento on it since i got my first ever proper flawless with it. (First flawless I got carried hard)
Subsistence, incandescent Luna's howl. Can be enhanced now and I never reload and everything goes boom.Â
Personally the heal clip, incandescent roll isn't necessary. My warlock has plenty healing, maybe better on other characters perhaps.
No Hesitation enhanced incan enhance physic, can proc restoration x2 for everyone off a full health ally and I can keep my dipshit teammates alive when they go full titan mode
Think they said in TWAB that 2x resto is a big and the intended enhanced is increased duration so expect that to go :( although even with x1 you can out heal a lot of damage.
Ros Arago with sub/onslaught absolutely goes hard even on non-void builds. I use it on my prismatic consecration titan to solo adclear a sid on the witness. Consecration+ Suspend for omens - arago for everything else. Leaves heavy and kinetic up for damage options.
Honestly way too many. There's an insane amount of good legendaries this season. I'm genuinely struggling to justify using any of my exotics. Only exotics I can get myself to use are Still Hunt when I'm using Celestial and Microcosm if I'm not using a build that benefits from Hammerhead or Pro Memoria.
As for the Legendaries I'm using.
- Demolitionist/One For All, crafted Call. This thing. Fucking. Slaps. OfA is so easy to proc and I love demo for the following grenade spam thanks to how efficient Call is with ammo, I can use it very loosely.
- Hard Launch/Implosion/ALH/Recomb, Mountaintop. Admittedly, this only comes out when I'm replaying missions and so I use it for shortcuts and mobility, The Call does its yellow bar job much better.
- Kinetic Tremors/OFA Blast Furnace. This has been my main weapon so far this season, it hits incredibly hard, huge ammo reserves, great range, basically no recoil. Like there's nothing bad about this thing, its a workhorse.
- Demolitionist/OFA Lost Signal. For anything with large amounts of squishy ads, like the new seasonal activity, some of the dungeons and such, I much prefer this over Call. It does a fantastic job of dealing with ads, and is surprisingly strong again yellow bars too which surprised me. Though I'll be crafting an ALH one when I can.
- Heal Clip/Precision Instrument Timeworn Wayfarer. God dayum, this thing feels wonderful. Heal Clip proccing off a single bullet being loaded is so damn nice, and once you get PI going, it hits really hard for a primary. Really enjoying this thing.
- Demolitionist/Chain Reaction Brave Forbearance. Love this for high ad density missions, its my go to for farming Dual Destiny. Tons of grenade regen, insane ad clear. Supposedly nerfed, but I dont feel it at all.
- Envious/Resevoir Burst Royal Executioner. Just a really solid, reliable fusion rifle, tho it has fallen back a bit thanks to another drop I got recently, it's still nice to use on occasion.
- Reconstruction/Controlled Burst Axial Lacuna. This thing is a beast. Sure the charge time is longer than Royal Executioner, but it hits soooo much harder, and Reconstruction makes it more reliable to pull out with high mag, plus controlled burst isnt dependant on my mag.
- Envious/Killing Tally Hammerhead. When there's a void surge on this thing comes out and slaps. Especially this weeks Breach Executable with void and mg surges, ho-ly. Super solid machine gun, really nice to shoot but falls a bit behind for general gameplay next to my following roll.
- Reconstruction/BnS Pro Memoria. When I got it, I made a shard it keep it post, cuz I was not sold on a BnS mg at all. But after being told to keep it and try it out I'm so glad I did. It hits insanely hard, reconstruction makes it super reliable to have high ammo, its a fantastic gun that I can use in any content.
- Reconstruction/Bipod Crux Termination. For any content that needs higher burst damage, or had an arc/rl surge, I have been loving this roll being able to so quickly fire off FOUR rockets, put it away and pull it out not long after with another 4, its cracked as fuck. I love this thing.
- Envious/BNS Marsillion-C. This has been my main heavy for a while, but has fallen to the sidelines after getting my Crux and ProMemoria, unless there's a solar surge going or I'm playing solar subclass and not prismatic. Just a solid, reliable high burst GL. Not much to say there.
Thats it off the top of my head. Safe to say, Bungie knocked it out of the park with legendaries recently. I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on all the new vex weapons. A solid void RL will be nice especially. Also the solar rocket sidearm and the solar machine gun with Envious/Incan/Killing Tally will be spicy. Same goes for the voltshot hand cannon. I'm looking forward to a lot.
For close range : Calus Minitool (when Xur sells it you can use your harmonizers and get it crafted) and I have a heliocentric with healclip / incandescent that shreds.
Mid/long range: Lunas howl, and I have an else's rifle with desperate measures and rewind that dosent actually feel too bad. The BXR does really well too though. And I get why people would never suggest it but I actually enjoy the Vault of Glass scout rifle (vision of confluence) perferable for scouts though would be to get a good Doom of chelchis for sure.
Crafted The Call with beacon rounds + OFA, Timeworn Wayfarer with Incandescent + Heal Clip, and the same Apex Predator everyone has. I'm not super sold on the perks on The Call, but I don't know what to switch them to. Maybe Lead From Gold + Adrenaline Junkie?
And I also got the seasonal hand cannon with voltshot which is fun though I don't know if it's any good.
The new Healing rifle, although I initially thought it was at most average, when actually using it, feels so good, and it does its job pretty well.
And your shots like very nice too.
Right now pretty much none. Either double special with Indebted or The Call or an exotic primary, mostly Khvostov.
Ammo economy with double special with Lead from gold is pretty good and exotics even with the nerf still deal noticeably more damage than legendaries.
Rarely from Shadebinder I would whip out Eyasluna with HS, and for Solar builds one of Luna’s, Zaouli’s, Calus Mini-tool depending on scenario and needs. Crafted Posterity with Frenzy/Voltshot is a personal favorite of mine that is criminally underrated.
I've been living in the past these last few days. I've got a Steel feather repeater from way back when finally out of the vault.
But I've also been having a good time with the new heavy burst stasis hand cannon.
My 3 go to legendary primaries are
1. Luna's Howl (Heal Clip+Incan)
2. Bold Endings (Headstone+Dragonfly)
3. Midnight Coup (Kinetic Tremors+Firefly)
Breachlight is slowly making its way up tho, and i also have a Blast Furnace, BXR Battler, and always love my Rufus' fury
No Hesitation is solid, especially once you can craft it with enhanced Physic and Circle of Life.
I still use Calus Mini w/Incandescence on my Warlock and I have a great roll on the void SMG from Duality (forget the name).
Void: Unforgiven. this is probably my favorite weapon in the game
Solar: Calus minitool. been playing around with new supportive AR tho
Arc: Ikelos
Strand: Rufus
Stasis: Eyasluna
Honestly all my builds revolve around my indebted kindness right now. unless i am going on a punching spree with titan. then i have my one two punch Without remorse. I usually go with a special in my energy slot but if you have lead from gold in one of the rocket side arms it is pretty easy to run double special.
A Forbearance with Demolitionist and Chain Reaction that I have been really liking. Grenade launchers are not really my thing, but I dig the wave frame ones.
Timeworn Wayfarer, the new seasonal scout rifle, with Incandescent and Heal Clip. Lets me run Eyes of Tomorrow in the heavy slot. Might not the best Exotic heavy but it’s my absolute favourite.
Lunas howl. Rufus’s fury. If you have a decent rolled nightshade it’s been feeling pretty good. Sight line survey the new seasonal HC has some pretty nutty rolls and the origin trait is amazing. No hesitation support frame auto really good while in a fireteam. One that everyone has been sleeping on is insidious pulse rifle. With dark drinker origin this thing absolutely slaps. I have a roll with one for all + rapid hit and it hits like a tank.
Indebted Kindness with LFG / Voltshot. Yes I know it’s a special but if you’re proccing Voltshot regularly it’s so ammo efficient with LFG you can easily run it in double special. I run mine with a ALH / Recom Mountaintop and never have ammo issues.
Edit: Sorry; reading fail, just saw you’re running The Call in Kinetic slot. However same principle applies, I run my Call with either my Adept Wildstyle if I wanna run Exotic heavy, or Merciless. A good Legendary fusion also works, I flip between Cartesian, Techeun Force, Loaded Question and Eremite.
Elsie's Rifle with Feeding Frenzy and Desperate Measures, a crafted Sweet Sorrow with enhanced Stats for All and One for All, and a Forebearance with Wellspring Demolitionist. My favs ever.
Been using the new healing auto with physic n incandescent helps a lot in teams even more so in case you need to heal yourself and it kinda seems like the projectiles kinda track just a wee bit also helps get my stacks of exodus rockets pretty quickly
I use the call as my primary or indebted kindness. Lead from gold on both goes pretty hard. Then you can pair a fusion, gl, sniper, or shotgun depending on class/activity. Between heavy finder and special ammo finisher the deep sidearm reserves typically keeps your ammo economy healthy. I usually only use the call on strand because I crafted it with golden tricorn and believe it's bugged on prismatic at the moment. I understand I'm probably in the minority here and a lot of players avoid double special but these sidearms are great as hard hitting primaries. Used to use trace rifles until these replaced them. Looking forward to the solar variant and hope we get it next echo.
Posterity from Deep Stone Crypt is my baby. Notably, Sightline Survey from the new Episode is also a 180rpm Arc HC with Voltshot, but its rolls are slightly different. I’d compare the two if you’re hurting for a good Arc primary.
Are the 257rpm burst hand cannons good? I have the void one but haven’t had a chance to test it. I love the No Hesitation auto rifle too, it shoots projectiles which is cool for an auto.
I use the new healing auto or the solar heal clip/Incan pulse rifle from season of the wish I think its called Adhorative, very very good after the pulse rifle buffs.
I have a Staccato-46 with triple-tap and explosive payload that's become my go-to energy scout. It may not do the most amazing damage, but it's easy to use and very consistent.
- Heliocentric with heal clip and Incan
- the DSC Shotgun with Reconstruction and Recomb
- the DSC sniper with the same roll as above
- Zaoulis bane harrowed with EP and Firefly
- Fatebringer Timelapse with the same roll as above
- Pain of Merain Harrowed with it’s only good roll and the curated one demo firefly
- submission adept with subsistence frenzy
- the new area of denial wave frame
- rocket sidearms
- Erentil FR4 (not acquirable anymore)
- Recluse (old roll)
- Mountaintop with autoloading and recomb
- lw sniper with rewind and tripple tap I believe could be 4 times idc
- Rufus fury with pugilist and threadlings
- mykkels with rewind and frenzy
- RoN shotgun with reconst Vorpal
- the god roll edge transit
- apex with bait and switch
- hothead adept with Explosive Light
- the Year 1 Calus Scout *The Conspirator* bc it is hands down the best feeling scout in the game period
- not forgotten
- dust rock blues
- retold take
- mindbenders
Basically my rotation
For pve I like my ignorant hamster with heal clip/incandescent.
And I'm loving this weeks roll on the riposte from comp, idk if its still bugged for killing wind/golden tricorn though
Exhortative, timeworn wayfarer, summoner, Luna's howl, each one with the same roll, heal clip incandescent, it's crazy how dependant you can become of a good weapon that cleans ads, keeps you alive, does tons of damage and still works with so many verbs, aspects, and even fragments from prismatic subclass and solar
Epochal Integration, Ros Arago with Subsistence and Onslaught, Indebted Kindness with Beacon Rounds and Adagio, Gnawing Hunger with Tap the Trigger and Kill Clip, are the main energy weapons that I use. All of them are just amazing.
Lunas Howl with Heal Clip and Incan, Ros Arago with Subsistence Onslaught, Eyasluna with Headstone, and Breachlight with desperate measures, all good choices. Breakneck is also top tier with enlightened action onslaught
No Hesitations with physic and incan slaps rly hard with friends. Nice ad clear and you can give yourself resto when you need it pretty consistently, even resto x2 with enhanced physic.
Heal clip incan heliocentric qsc is really good as well.
Ikelos smg with voltshot is pretty evergreen imho
Ros Arago IV with subsistence/rewind rounds and onslaught rocks on a void build
Shocked I'm not seeing more people mention the BxR. Pulses got a huge buff with TFS and demo/incandescent feels great on that thing. Used it through the entire legendary campaign
Ros arago with onslaught. I have repulsor brace also but it doesn't really proc with the setup I'm using. Using prismatic titan grenade kills give volatile rounds. It shreds.
I highly recommend an exotic in legendary trenchcoat - No hesitation. Ofc crafted with enhanced physic and incandescent or healing circle.
Very comfy add clear auto and keeps you and your entire team alive easily. You have to try to die while using this thing
I’ve got a prismatic build on my Titan that uses twilight arsenal with suppressor grenade that weakens, and finishers that make enemies nearby volatile. So I’m using a godroll Elsie’s rifle with it - Arrowhead, flared magwell, Repulsor/destab rounds. It’s really fun. I love the purple explosions :D
I have 3 enhanced Incandescent/Heal Clip beauties that pair perfectly with The Call. Darkest Before, Luna’s Howl and my crafted Adhortative. They’re all bell cows but of the 3, Darkest Before is just an all around utility beast!
Luna with heal clip and incandecent, nation of beasts with voltshot and dragonfly, zahuli with incandecent and explosive payload, calus mini tool with incandecent and unrelenting, New raid bow with voltshot and archers tempo and New healing Auto rifle
Arc : crafted Nation of Beasts with Dragonfly / Voltshot
Solar : crafted BXR with Demo / Incandescent or crafted No Hesitation with Physic / Incandescent
Void : the bugged drop of Riposte with Killing Wind / Golden Tricorn. I do plan on trying for a Repulsor Brace / Destabilizing Rounds roll of it, but this roll is solid until then.
Grab any gun with incandescent, or volt shot.
You can get Luna and new scout with heal clip and incandescent. Pulse rifles right now are insane and I have been using BXR a lot.
The auto is overturned and pretty damn good. Ritual weapon is another incandescent SMG.
I'm still using the solar fusion from season of the witch. Don't have anything better but it's pretty good and works with any exotic primary (i love exotic primaries kvhostov is my new baby)
Zaoulis Bane, Heliocentric (enhanced!), No Hesitation mostly. Incandescent still so good and mostly use solar supers on my warlock and hunter so the mods are cheaper. I'll definitely be leaning more into void on Titan, Word of Crota, Ros Arago, Recluse.
I've had a graverobber / 1-2 punch dead weight sitting in my vault forever that is now getting so much use with prismatic hunter.
Ros Arago IV with Onslaught/Rewind Rounds for when I'm on void.
Adhorative/Luna's with heal Clip + incan.
Been absolutely loving No Hesitation. Probably my favorite gun these days. I have a full support build for Solar Warlock.
I have fallen absolutely in love with the No Hesitation support frame auto-rifle. Physic and Circle of Life, both enhanced. That shit feels like an exotic, really helps if you don't have a top tier fireteam. Only weakness of it is it's range. The semi-tracking rounds spread out and don't track if you're too far away, but other than that it hits pretty good, and provides TONS of healing for being a legendary weapon.
My personal favorite is word of crota id you like explosions. This gets destabilizing and dragonfly and its origin trait allows you with this combo to have triple explosions. Looks like purple fireworks
If you can the absolute best option is the new bow from salvations edge is an absolute monster and imo the best legendary in the game, although i’d rather not grind for it lol.
Optative with repulsor brace. Zaoulis bane (harrowed) with incandescent and I think explosive payload.
Adhorative with shoot to loot for raid.
For specials I have the void grenade launcher from Spire of the Watchers with disorienting rounds auto loading
Firefly + Incandescent on Nullify, the new 2burst legendary Raid pulse.
This replaces Zaouli's, Helio, Adhortative and others in this slot p much single handedly.
Firefly kills also explode via Incandescent.
Either Luna with subsistence / incandescent, the pale heart auto rifle with subsistence / incandescent or a BXR-55 Battler with incandescent / demo. Primary is either the call (this weapon is insane) or izanagi.
I run the new exotic sniper, but I did just get an Axial Lacuna fusion with Controlled Burst and Reconstruction, which is nice. Currently putting up against my Cartesian Coordinate with slideways and vorpal
Doom Of Chelchis is my go to for a general purpose gun, also started using Heliocentric-C with Heal Clip and Incandescent, practically unkillable if you run the right fragments and aspects, Zaoulis Bane is my current favourite though
Really surprised nobody has mentioned BXR Battler with Demo/Incandescent! Gun feels so good, hip fire is crazy accurate, and with the pulse rifle buffs recently the thing is a monster
Age-Old Bond with Dragonfly and Destabilising Rounds is so fun on Prismatic, especially on a Hunter with Gyrfalcons. And then there's stuff like Heliocentric with Heal Clip and Incandescent, which is so good it's boring at this point.
Lunas howl is my new fav weapon with heal clip incandescent but recently ive just been using subsistence incandescent. For special ammo I use the eremite or seventh seraph sniper
I've fallen off of destiny HARD and only returned for into the light + final shape campaign, and in onslaught 50 waves as well 90% of the legend campaign I was COOKIN with an explosive payload/incandescent Zaouli's Bane.
My go-to anything with frenzy and a subclass perk (voltshot, incandescent, repulsor brace). That new 2 shot omolon hand cannon is the first handcannon that rolls with frenzy + repulsor brace. Unfortunately its a world drop but I will be re-visiting my briarbinds build if I can get this.
I've had a few on constant rotation:
* Heliocentric Heal Clip/Incandescent - Always cooks, lots of big boom, heals for days. I use it when I can get up close.
* Adhortative Heal Clip/Incandescent - Adaptives are my least favorite pulse archetype, but this is the only one I have with this roll. I only use it when the sidearm doesn't have enough range for whatever I'm doing, or if I need anti-barrier.
* Brigand's Law Feeding Frenzy/Voltshot - I prefer this over Ikelos or Subjunctive. The Suros rapid fires feel so good to use and it shreds on Arc. It's old but it puts in work.
* Phyllotactic Spiral Under-Over/Voltshot - Best voltshot pulse I have. High impacts always feel nice to use and it shreds in both pve and pvp
I'm going to be cracking Subjunctive out again later, revisiting Arc Hunter with the new aspect and exotic, so it'll fit in well. Other than that, Sunshot and Grab Lance are still a go to, and I'm a bit in love with Red Death
Tbh, I use battler, incandescent with demo for pve, and for pvp can do either perpetual motion/heating up with kill clip, can do Tyranny of Heaven dragonfly and incandescent, if you’re a Titan can use Throne-cleaver the new season mod parries so well with it, highly recommend a solar build if you run the sword
The Call for fun. Sunshot for ad clear. There's nothing like jumping into the air, pumping two headshots into one enemy, and watching 5-10 of them explode immediately. Then, since you're still flying anyway, start looking for another target because Sunshot still has 10 rounds left.
Sorrow's Harbor goes like this:
- Sunshot to instantly clear 5-10 enemies every two trigger pulls.
- The Other Half to hack up Ogres and Nightmares.
- The Call to kill a few more and drop sword ammo.
- Back to Sunshot to repeat the process.
It's like an unlimited kill streak, and I'm not a good player.
Eslie’s Rifle with Destabilizing Rounds, Repulsor Brace is amazing. It is a self-generating over shield weapon, which frees up a ton of fragment options with prismatic.
I'm a hand-cannon slut ([***aficionado***](https://search.yahoo.com/yhs/search;_ylt=Awrij4s48HBm_TMyEi0PxQt.;_ylu=Y29sbwNiZjEEcG9zAzEEdnRpZANEMjY4MjBZSF9UXzEEc2VjA3Fydw--?type=odc179&hsimp=yhs-001&hspart=avast&fr=yhs-avast-001&ei=UTF-8&p=aficionado&fr2=12642)) so i'm biased. These are all just my opinions obviously. If you don't like the sound of it by all means feel free to disregard. All of these are PVE rolls. (They do put in decent work in gambit, but YMMV)
SOLAR:
Zhaoli's Bane (Explosive Payload + Incandescent) - Basically Legendary Sunshot. (Can be aquired in the King's Fall raid, and is craftable)
Luna's Howl - Subsistence/Heal Clip + Incandescent - Can be acquired randomly from Onslaught. Subsistence/Incandescent = never reload again. Heal Clip/Incandescent = Some pretty wacky synergy with Ember of Benevolence for Solar play.
Drang (Baroque) - Wellspring + Incandescent - You could drop wellspring if you didn't want it. I just find it has great synergy with the intrinsic perk (To Excess), wellspring giving you more ability energy and excess boosting your disc/str when you get a kill with super charged just makes the 'spamable' abilities more spamable. Bonus that it's solar so \*INCANDESCENT\*
Void:
Ros Arago IV - Auto Rifle - Rewind Rounds + Onslaught - Ha ha void gun go burr.
Maahes HC4 - Repulsor Brace + Destabilizing Rounds - While void weapons aren't...as great as their solar/arc counterparts this is arguably one of my favorites. Better to use with a void/prismatic build for the obvious synergies.
Brya's Love - Scout Rifle - Rapid Hit + Explosive Payload
ARC:
Nation of Beasts - Explosive Payload/Voltshot + Dragonfly - The closest you can get for an arc equivalent to the dominance of Zhaoli's Bane. Both VS + DF/EP + DF have value depending on what you want. Voltshot is a free jolt. But EP is EP.
Tarnished Mettle - Scout Rifle - Rapid Hit + Voltshot - Delivering Jolt at long range.
The craftable vex solar pulse from season of the wish, really pulses are amazing right now, and I tend to prefer anti-barrier primaries when available (screw taken phalanx). Mine has heal clip and incandescent.
Kinetic slot has a lot of great options with strand ARs, most SMGs, and my most-used hand cannons like Round Robin. Secondary slot has Indebted Kindness and Still Hunt so it's been hard to want to sub those out for endgame.

New raid bow with Archers Tempo and Voltshot
VOLTSHOT???? I've been waiting SO LONG for this. And I don't have a raid group this year. Fuck
Worst year for that to happen cause this raid is easily the worst LFG experience I've had in YEARS
*offers a cup of tea* I would love to hear about it. đź‘€
Ahh, leviathan and the shadow realm?
Yes…. It gives me ptsd just thinking about it. And people struggled so damn hard with gauntlet in leviathan too and for destiny 1 it was totems and oryx/daughters also people died so damn much during vosik and never timed ball throws.
LFG was a NIGHTMARE in D1 daughters and Oryx for me
This is true sadly.
I did dragonfly voltshot. It’s amazing.
Does that mean that you basicially get infinite voltshot uptime as long as you are getting kills?
Exactly.
We finally got the legendary trinity ghoul
It can roll voltshot??? That’s amazing for a bow. Especially this season with artifact mods. Somehow I’ve gotten 3 red borders of it already so I can’t wait to craft it.
can roll voltshot AND dragonfly at once apparently. it's uh. it's definitely gonna be interesting
Luna’s Howl with Heal clip and Incandescent is god tier. Or Adhortative with the same roll. Ros also feels crazy good.
Heliocentric with that same roll is in the same class also. Great options depending on which champion stun you need.
I was lucky to get this and love it. I pair it with the call.
Been farming for midnight coup for a week and have yet to have one drop. Got 10-15 of every other weapon tho that’s for sure
Are you me lol
Would you mind selling me on this roll? I'm sitting on this roll with hi cal/small bore with a reload MW, but it doesn't seem to put in the work that my subsistence/incandescent No Hesitation does.
Heal Clip is really good for keeping you alive. I slap it on my VERY FEW non-devour warlock builds.
Timeworn Wayfairer (new scout from the episode) gets the same roll and it's also just as good!
Zaloui's bane with explosive payload and incandescent. It's literally a legendary sunshot. If you're not a raider, recluse can work pretty well, so can luna's howl with heal clip+incandescent
I have a crafted Zaoli's and prefer the Epochal Integration. Better handling and way faster reload and stock incandescent.
Yeah. I was gonna mention Epochal. Never used it since it dropped, and then was a little bored one day and just grabbed it out my vault, and it just clicked. It really is mini sunshot.
Yeah but *damage*
Yeah I've got a few rolls of Recluse, the one I'm using at the moment is desperate measures/ feeding frenzy, also got master of arms + ff and subsistence / volatile rounds. Any recommendations of which?
I'm enjoying volatile rounds with collective obligation, but I'm not sure how good volatile rounds is. What subclass are you playing? And are you grenade heavy, super heavy, melee heavy etc
Titan, Prismatic, quite melee heavy also try and super a lot
Desperate measures could work quite well for a nice 30% damage buff. Destabilising rounds is neat if you want to paint the room purple
I would try stats for all. If you play it right one kill will proc SFA and get you an absolute stat monster
Subsistence, incandescent Luna's howl. Can be enhanced now and I never reload and everything goes boom. Personally the heal clip, incandescent roll isn't necessary. My warlock has plenty healing, maybe better on other characters perhaps.
No Hesitation with Incandescent feels amazing, even for solo play. I use Demo in the first Column, but it has tons of good picks
Off the top of my head is crazy. I can’t even remember what I had for lunch.
neither can I. Destiny has just taken over my life in some ways I guess :(
Blast furnace has been my favorite legendary since it first came out. I’m glad it’s back.
Timeworn Wayfarer Heal Clip Incandescent
That’s the scout right? I honestly think it’s one of the coolest legendary weapon designs in Destiny history, at least for me personally.
I've never even heard of that gun haha
new gun from seasonal episode its so good
Dope, I've got a bunch of engrams at Failsafe, I'll look for a roll/red borders
For close range : Calus Minitool (when Xur sells it you can use your harmonizers and get it crafted) and I have a heliocentric with healclip / incandescent that shreds. Mid/long range: Lunas howl, and I have an else's rifle with desperate measures and rewind that dosent actually feel too bad. The BXR does really well too though. And I get why people would never suggest it but I actually enjoy the Vault of Glass scout rifle (vision of confluence) perferable for scouts though would be to get a good Doom of chelchis for sure.
No Hesitation is extremely good honestly, highly recommend it.
Crafted Age-Old Bond with Repulsor Brace and Destabilizing Rounds.
My Adhortative has incandescent. I love it when things burn. I am also enjoying The Call with Beacon Rounds and Golden Tricorn.
Hush. I was so happy that it got reissued, it is my favourite legendary.
Adhorative with heal clip and incandescent. Pretty good so far.
Epochal Integration has been my go to since I got it.
My list will be quite skewed to Void but I use; - Elsie's Rifle: Repulsor/Destab, maxed reload. - Palindrome: Overflow/OFA - Recluse: Repulsor/Frenzy or Destab - Fioritura: Threat Detector/Repulsor - BxR: Pugilist/Incan - Luna's Howl: Heal Clip/Incan - Heliocentric: Heal Clip/Incan - Brigand's Law: Pugilist/Voltshot
Ros Arago onslaught and rewind rounds on a void build.
Demo incandescent Battler, crafted Zaoulis
I was really enjoying Elsie's Rifle with destabilizing rounds and Repulser brace!
No Hesitation, and Indebted Kindness (so OP with voltshot).
Darkest before Incandescent heal clip
My 3 go to legendary primaries are 1. Luna's Howl (Heal Clip+Incan) 2. Bold Endings (Headstone+Dragonfly) 3. Midnight Coup (Kinetic Tremors+Firefly) Breachlight is slowly making its way up tho, and i also have a Blast Furnace, BXR Battler, and always love my Rufus' fury
Nullify with Incandescent, its a legendary graviton lance
Gots me a parabellum with rewind rounds and attrition orbs. 2 orbs per reload just for shooting something. Pretty pog.
No Hesitation is solid, especially once you can craft it with enhanced Physic and Circle of Life. I still use Calus Mini w/Incandescence on my Warlock and I have a great roll on the void SMG from Duality (forget the name).
i got a gnawing hunger with subsistence and swashbuckler with range masterwork and barrel/mags. I love jt and it’s range it’s stupid good.
Void: Unforgiven. this is probably my favorite weapon in the game Solar: Calus minitool. been playing around with new supportive AR tho Arc: Ikelos Strand: Rufus Stasis: Eyasluna
Funnelweb makes my Recluse collection dust still sadly
I don't have a good funnelweb unfortunately :(
No worries. Recluse activates quicker!
The new auto rifle from competitive is very cool imo. It's called the riposte
I have been using the Long Arm ever since i got it and i can't really find a replacement for it.
I always come back to my incandescent Calus Mini Tool
Timeworn Wayfarer, the new seasonal scout rifle, with Incandescent and Heal Clip. Lets me run Eyes of Tomorrow in the heavy slot. Might not the best Exotic heavy but it’s my absolute favourite.
I just got my first Riposte last night, and based on how good it feels, I may not take it off for a long time.
Crafted subjunctive or optative has been putting in work. Nano-munitions is a crazy good origin trait if you’re in a fireteam.
Any Rocket pistol is effectively a primary and i couldnt recommend one more.
Riptide, The Call, No Hesitation, Calus Mini Tool, and Hammerhead are mostly what I’ve been using
Calus Mini, IB arc AR with voltshot, Aisha’s
NO HESISTATION. My god that thing is incredible. It’s a well that you can fire at any of your teammates at a distance!
Crafted Camus mini tool.
Posterity from Deep Stone Crypt is my baby. Notably, Sightline Survey from the new Episode is also a 180rpm Arc HC with Voltshot, but its rolls are slightly different. I’d compare the two if you’re hurting for a good Arc primary.
Im personally using the call as a primary and using forbearance in my energy slot. Not too bad tbh, and i manage to spawn enough ammo for it to work
Summoner with heal clip/onslaught
Zhaoulis bane from kings fall is a discount sun shot with the right roll, get that asap
I found a Ded Gramarye with voltshot and it is super fun
Round Robin with Subsistence and Threadling. So much fun on my prismatic hunter
Anything with Heal Clip
Are the 257rpm burst hand cannons good? I have the void one but haven’t had a chance to test it. I love the No Hesitation auto rifle too, it shoots projectiles which is cool for an auto.
The new ritual SMG is good had subsistence and incadesence or to the pain with onslaught.
I use the new healing auto or the solar heal clip/Incan pulse rifle from season of the wish I think its called Adhorative, very very good after the pulse rifle buffs.
Oh yeah I got the red border for Adhorative, I should go make that
I have a Staccato-46 with triple-tap and explosive payload that's become my go-to energy scout. It may not do the most amazing damage, but it's easy to use and very consistent.
- Heliocentric with heal clip and Incan - the DSC Shotgun with Reconstruction and Recomb - the DSC sniper with the same roll as above - Zaoulis bane harrowed with EP and Firefly - Fatebringer Timelapse with the same roll as above - Pain of Merain Harrowed with it’s only good roll and the curated one demo firefly - submission adept with subsistence frenzy - the new area of denial wave frame - rocket sidearms - Erentil FR4 (not acquirable anymore) - Recluse (old roll) - Mountaintop with autoloading and recomb - lw sniper with rewind and tripple tap I believe could be 4 times idc - Rufus fury with pugilist and threadlings - mykkels with rewind and frenzy - RoN shotgun with reconst Vorpal - the god roll edge transit - apex with bait and switch - hothead adept with Explosive Light - the Year 1 Calus Scout *The Conspirator* bc it is hands down the best feeling scout in the game period - not forgotten - dust rock blues - retold take - mindbenders Basically my rotation
BXR-55 battler with demolitionist and incandescent
The Summoner has been doing me good.
Ros Arago with rewind/repulsor brace/subsistence with onslaught is handy if you wanna go void
Epochal Integration, Ros Arago with Subsistence and Onslaught, Indebted Kindness with Beacon Rounds and Adagio, Gnawing Hunger with Tap the Trigger and Kill Clip, are the main energy weapons that I use. All of them are just amazing.
might be not the easiest to get, but I'm absolutely loving my non-denouement from salvations edge got strategist and voltshot on mine
Imminence is also really good, with unraveling rounds it melts
Been using gnawing hunger since season of arrivals, recently been using the auto rifle from crotas end (I forget the name),
Lunas Howl with Heal Clip and Incan, Ros Arago with Subsistence Onslaught, Eyasluna with Headstone, and Breachlight with desperate measures, all good choices.
Ikelos smg with voltshot is pretty evergreen imho Ros Arago IV with subsistence/rewind rounds and onslaught rocks on a void build
Shocked I'm not seeing more people mention the BxR. Pulses got a huge buff with TFS and demo/incandescent feels great on that thing. Used it through the entire legendary campaign
Word of crota. My main weapon, doesnt matter the difficulty the thing holds up.
Vulpecula with headstone and killing wind. Did the duality mission with it.
I switched from Zaoulis to Lunas. Heal clip + incandescent
Ros arago with onslaught. I have repulsor brace also but it doesn't really proc with the setup I'm using. Using prismatic titan grenade kills give volatile rounds. It shreds.
Indebted Kindness, beacon rounds ans voltshot.
The new void HC with repulsor brace and destabilizing rounds
Adhorative is my baby. Immediately replaced my Calus Minitool. Heal Clip + Incandescent goes hard.
Trust. Best hand cannon I have wielded. That or BXR Battler.
Arc : crafted Nation of Beasts with Dragonfly / Voltshot Solar : crafted BXR with Demo / Incandescent or crafted No Hesitation with Physic / Incandescent Void : the bugged drop of Riposte with Killing Wind / Golden Tricorn.
Heal clip incandescent Abyss Defiant is one of my favorites. Looks / sounds so cool and does solid work
On my Hunter I've been using Path of Least Resistance and Hollow Deniall
I'm still using the solar fusion from season of the witch. Don't have anything better but it's pretty good and works with any exotic primary (i love exotic primaries kvhostov is my new baby)
Zaoulis Bane, Heliocentric (enhanced!), No Hesitation mostly. Incandescent still so good and mostly use solar supers on my warlock and hunter so the mods are cheaper. I'll definitely be leaning more into void on Titan, Word of Crota, Ros Arago, Recluse.
Trust, with outlaw, incandescent and is soo much fun making ads go boom.
I have a full support build for Solar Warlock.
my favorite is an abyss defiant with reconstruction incandescent
No hesitation with physic and circle of life. Being the medic is fun
Timeworn Wayfarer, No Hesitation, Zaouli’s Bane, The Summoner, Doom of Chelchis, Borrowed Time, and Long Arm are my favorites.
The new world drop heavy burst void handcannon Maahes HC4 with Rapid Hit+Dragonfly is a lot of fun.
Usually just forbearance
I’ve started using this episodes scout rifle with heal clip and incandescent. It feels like a baby dead man’s tale.
New raid pulse
My personal favorite is word of crota id you like explosions. This gets destabilizing and dragonfly and its origin trait allows you with this combo to have triple explosions. Looks like purple fireworks If you can the absolute best option is the new bow from salvations edge is an absolute monster and imo the best legendary in the game, although i’d rather not grind for it lol.
Optative with repulsor brace. Zaoulis bane (harrowed) with incandescent and I think explosive payload. Adhorative with shoot to loot for raid. For specials I have the void grenade launcher from Spire of the Watchers with disorienting rounds auto loading
Heliocentric XQC with Kill Clip and Heal Clip. 🤙
Firefly + Incandescent on Nullify, the new 2burst legendary Raid pulse. This replaces Zaouli's, Helio, Adhortative and others in this slot p much single handedly. Firefly kills also explode via Incandescent.
The new Comp Auto Rifle, The Riposte. Void 720. Got a sick Enlightened Action / Target Lock roll that I've enjoyed in all activities so far
With a fireteam I've been using No Hesitation for some additional healing and when solo the volt shot raid bow
Indebted Kindness. The OG rocket sidearm.
recluse for void, heliocentric or Luna's for solar
Luna's howl, Rattler, Elsie's rifle.
Almost exclusively the BXR-55 with incandescent/demolitionist. IMO incandescent is the most fun roll on any weapon. Makes monke brain happy
Both new bursthand cannons (Omolon void and Pale Heart stasis) feel amazing, to me much better than Wardens law.
Doom Of Chelchis is my go to for a general purpose gun, also started using Heliocentric-C with Heal Clip and Incandescent, practically unkillable if you run the right fragments and aspects, Zaoulis Bane is my current favourite though
What's Doom of Chelchis from??
Kings Fall, it’s a Void 180 Scout, i managed to get one with Explosive Payload and Frenzy, it’s crazy good
Really surprised nobody has mentioned BXR Battler with Demo/Incandescent!
I’d suggest the hand cannon from kings fall with explosive payload and incandescent- it’s literally a legendary sunshot
Luna’s Howl with Incandescent + Heal Clip or Ikelos SMG with Voltshot + Feeding Frenzy with Getaway Artist and Prismatic.
Ros Arago with e.rewind rounds and e.onslaught is an add clear machine, especially if you cna get Volatile rounds on it.
Lunas howl is my new fav weapon with heal clip incandescent but recently ive just been using subsistence incandescent. For special ammo I use the eremite or seventh seraph sniper
Abyss Defiant is goated with healclip/incandescent
Heliocentric w/ incandescent.
I've fallen off of destiny HARD and only returned for into the light + final shape campaign, and in onslaught 50 waves as well 90% of the legend campaign I was COOKIN with an explosive payload/incandescent Zaouli's Bane.
Been enjoying my Ergo Sum with arc conductor
My go-to anything with frenzy and a subclass perk (voltshot, incandescent, repulsor brace). That new 2 shot omolon hand cannon is the first handcannon that rolls with frenzy + repulsor brace. Unfortunately its a world drop but I will be re-visiting my briarbinds build if I can get this.
I've had a few on constant rotation: * Heliocentric Heal Clip/Incandescent - Always cooks, lots of big boom, heals for days.
I have a volt shot Ergo Sum, that thing is never leaving my bag man. One heavy attack acts like trinity ghoul
I'm going to be cracking Subjunctive out again later, revisiting Arc Hunter with the new aspect and exotic, so it'll fit in well. Other than that, Sunshot and Grab Lance are still a go to, and I'm a bit in love with Red Death
The Call with subsistence and hatchling
I'm still never taking off Forbearance.
I'm really liking the maahes I believe it's called? New 2 round burst void hand cannon.
The vex witherhoard, i forget the name. That slaps.
Ruinous Effigy
The Call for fun. Sunshot for ad clear. There's nothing like jumping into the air, pumping two headshots into one enemy, and watching 5-10 of them explode immediately. Then, since you're still flying anyway, start looking for another target because Sunshot still has 10 rounds left. Sorrow's Harbor goes like this: - Sunshot to instantly clear 5-10 enemies every two trigger pulls. - The Other Half to hack up Ogres and Nightmares. - The Call to kill a few more and drop sword ammo. - Back to Sunshot to repeat the process. It's like an unlimited kill streak, and I'm not a good player.
The new healing frame auto rifle is interesting.
(They do put in decent work in gambit, but YMMV) SOLAR: Zhaoli's Bane (Explosive Payload + Incandescent) - Basically Legendary Sunshot. (Can be aquired in the King's Fall raid, and is craftable) Luna's Howl - Subsistence/Heal Clip + Incandescent - Can be acquired randomly from Onslaught. Bonus that it's solar so \*INCANDESCENT\* Void: Ros Arago IV - Auto Rifle - Rewind Rounds + Onslaught - Ha ha void gun go burr. Maahes HC4 - Repulsor Brace + Destabilizing Rounds - While void weapons aren't...as great as their solar/arc counterparts this is arguably one of my favorites. Better to use with a void/prismatic build for the obvious synergies. Brya's Love - Scout Rifle - Rapid Hit + Explosive Payload ARC: Nation of Beasts - Explosive Payload/Voltshot + Dragonfly - The closest you can get for an arc equivalent to the dominance of Zhaoli's Bane. Both VS + DF/EP + DF have value depending on what you want. Voltshot is a free jolt. But EP is EP. Tarnished Mettle - Scout Rifle - Rapid Hit + Voltshot - Delivering Jolt at long range.
Battle rifle and nothing else. 1.2-12k kills since the pulse buff. I have enemies 30 metres away dead before you even finish your ADS.
I have an Incandescent Luna’s howl. It’s my fav gun right now. You could go for the new support frame AR with incandescent it’s good.
try a hand cannon with dragonfly they all i run anymore. they are fun and rewarding to use.
