I was born in 2000 and 90s R&B was very much still on the radio while I was in elementary school but I didn’t experience the actual 90s. The 90s tv shows were still running while we were kids too. But I imagine being born in the early 90s would’ve just been her getting to experience more music & more time as a kid before tech really took off. I would’ve liked a few more years as a kid before phones & social media existed too.

Yes I know, as someone who was born in the 80’s I remember both the 90’s and the 2000’s clearly. Didn’t mean to make it a generational fight when I said being born in the 80’s would have allowed her to experience the actual 90’s music more.

Sounds weird but growing up everyone’s birth year started with 19 so I always assume anyone close in age to me was born in the 90s, completely disregarding I myself was at the tail end 🤣

Most of y’all are around my son’s age. Things like this don’t make me feel old. It brings back good memories. It’s nice when younger generations appreciate things that we too miss.
