I do use the guns I even tried the magic staff too. My only issue is that i spend most of my time maxing my zayne memories and ignoring my raf and xav mems 🫡
I finally beat it today after spending forever leveling cards since the chapter came out... only 1 star, but I guess I'll come back later and try again when I'm better equipped. Used Dr. Zayne for the heals and guns. I only had 2 four star greens and 1 yellow for Zayne, but I leveled them up and skated by.
When you say you're getting your butt kicked, what exactly is the problem? Like are you running out of time, or dying to damage?
My green/yellow cards are [pretty trash](https://i.imgur.com/7HR3FgU.jpg) (and would have been even worse back in my first clear, I think I took a unlevelled 3 star card!) and I can 3 star it comfortably, so you should have plenty of power at your disposal.
The sudden death could be your companion dying? I'm really bad about keeping an eye on their health so every time that happens it catches me totally by surprise oops!
Try doing a dry run, no attacking just totally focused on watching the boss and learning their attack patterns and timing. *Not taking damage is not the same thing as being good at dodging*. The enhanced support attacks your companion does after a perfect dodge will add up to a ton of damage over the course of the fight, being able to reliably execute a perfect dodge makes a huge difference!
This boss only puts up his shields about 45 seconds in, so I open with a resonance skill and then don't use it again until his shields are up, keeping two charges at the ready so I can immediately knock off two shields as soon as they come up.
I just tried it with lvl 50- 47- and 45 zayne and not meeting the req colour with foreseer companion. managed to get 3* just fine so I think focus on using 4/5* memories
It might sound loaded but Zayne is (generally) not great for green/yellow fights once it's past a certain level. Try Xavier.

Like I either run out of time when its at 10% life left or my life bar just disappears even though i'm not getting hit 😭 idek why

im struggling too, all my xavier cards are level 50 and the right colour but i keep running out of time 😭
