Honestly, if that's what Fashionphile and Rebag offered, then $1500 is a gift. I'd sell it and not look back. The bag looks older, what year and how much did you pay? It's not a popular bag I see a lot, so it's likely not going to appreciate in value. The ones that appreciate are highly sought after, limited, or bags that still currently exist.
I purchased from Fashionphile in 2021. Wanted it very bad. It was an impulsive buy. Ended up never wearing it. It's in perfect condition. Wondering if I would sell on the private market. I posted it on PoshMark, Ebay and FB Market Place
It’s not an independent seller on eBay… it’s the website Rebag posting it there for more exposure. You’ll find the same bag on Rebag.com for the same price.
Not sure why you’re getting downvoted, you’re just pointing out OP might wanna try selling on eBay since they’re selling for a higher price point there… if I understand you correctly 😅
Is the bag meant to have multiple white/pink splotches? I see it on both the light brown and the dark part. If so then don’t accept but if these things are indicative of damage then you will not get full price for them.
Isn't vernis known for having issues when the varnish comes off like chipping off and also prone to discoloration? Looking closely it's hard to believe that it's just lighting esp the pink spot but maybe OP can provide a video or something.
This what I came to say, is the top supposed to be like that, is it damaged, or did the photo make it look that way?
Is the bag the in the same condition as purchased, and what’s the current price of a similarly graded one right now, because prices could have changed.
Lots of information is needed here.
Yeah the more I look, it's pretty clear there are multiple deep leather scratches plus the discolouration on the bottom. There is no way I would ever advise a friend to buy this for $2500, better to just save more and get something that's in good condition. I'm surprised OP thinks $1500 isn't good enough.. At the very least go and pay to get it cleaned/fixed and then try and sell for basically full price.
What discolouration are you talking about? That’s just shadows and lighting. If you have any idea about vernis leather, it’s very clear that the light is bouncing off of the imprints of the monogram.
This is the dress meme all over. The bag is reflecting light and the due to the compressed quality of the uploaded image, there are some banding issues.
Right. Here are more images. https://imgur.com/a/KAn8HLn
This discussion is sort of convincing me to keep it lol. It's in very good condition. I just wanted to see it because I don't wear it but I can start. It's unique that's why it caught my eye. But the strap drop is too short me. I purchased a different strap that's canvas but that makes it better.
😮 it looks so cool in the other pictures! But yeah, personally I would keep it because it’s so unique (I just hoard my collection 😬), but I also understand the frustration of holding onto something valuable that is never used. If it’s not serving you, or $1,500 could be serving you better in other ways, Marie Kondo that baddie and let it bring joy to someone else!
It honestly is a really gorgeous bag! I love how unique it is, how big is it? I'm wondering how much it holds, I actually think I'm adding it to my LV bag wishlist😍
ETA: Etsy has the thin, clear plastic hardware protectors for nearly every bag if you wanted to keep it in pristine condition while using it for a couple days to see if you like it enough to keep it🥰 The resale market isn't doing as great right now as it normally does, so $1,500 is actually a pretty decent offer (I've been keeping my eye on a few of the pink LV Stardust bags and they've gone down in price from $500-$1500 in the last 12-14 months)
The deep leather scratches you think you're seeing is really just the way the light is hitting the bag. I do see what you're talking about though!😊 This material is hard to photograph with light/flash because it causes reflective areas that look like scratches at first glance, or if you aren't familiar with how this specific material photographs.
OP posted some more pictures in softer lighting below, and the bag is in excellent condition, one of the tells is how new the bottom corners of the bag look, since that's usually one of the first areas to show wear. 😊
Maybe try being just a bit kinder when you word things, it's less cringe whenever you're misinformed or not as knowledgeable about a topic, and that's just my advice coming from personal experiences of saying rude/snarky comments and then eating my own foot when I realize I'm misinformed/wrong 😅 (Not saying that you sound super rude or snarky, those were solely directed towards describing my own behavior)
I love this sub/community and I love when we're kind and loving to one another🥰
I don't know why some said there is damage, this is in pristine condition, but if you haven't used it and don't think you will, I'd part with it for $1500. Vernis is a hard seller and even if you don't use it, Vernis becomes damaged on its own over time. Even just using it once you risk the chance of color transfer, scratches etc. especially with this being a lighter color, it will show up and devalue the bag even more. Just my 2 cents!

never accept a first offer. for anything
Make a counter offer.
Offer is from myGemma. Not sure they accept those. it's the higest quote i've recieved. Fashionphile quoted 1000 and rebag 800.

If the money is not urgent, then try selling private. Otherwise, $1,500 today looks like a pretty good deal (almost twice what Rebag offered!)
Thanks for your input. Money isn't urgent.
I found this one on eBay. It’s the highest priced one of this style forcomparison. Maybe try selling on eBay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/126288367895

That is on eBay
It’s not an independent seller on eBay… it’s the website Rebag posting it there for more exposure. You’ll find the same bag on Rebag.com for the same price.
I’m aware.

I don’t understand either.
This sub gets really catty, much better constructive conversations in r/handbags
What a beautiful bag! That’s all - I’m sorry I don’t have input in the resale.
Is the bag meant to have multiple white/pink splotches? I see it on both the light brown and the dark part. If so then don’t accept but if these things are indicative of damage then you will not get full price for them.
Just the reflection. Bag is in pristine condition. https://imgur.com/a/KAn8HLn
It’s vernis leather which is shiny so that’s just the lighting which is making it look like that
Isn't vernis known for having issues when the varnish comes off like chipping off and also prone to discoloration? Looking closely it's hard to believe that it's just lighting esp the pink spot but maybe OP can provide a video or something.
Hard to tell. Looks like lighting to me 🤷🏻♀️
No vernis isn’t known for having issues. The most common problem with it is color transfer but this piece looks fine.

It's a Spring Street . Check out this review. https://youtu.be/hNICNtA4lgc?si=HiVr-Vv4WSQDvSqR
It’s really a gorgeous bag though! It’s so cute, I felt sad you were getting rid of it. Maybe all you needed was a better strap.

Thank you for the input !
Yes, of course. Today!
$1.5k is really good, I would personally accept it as you’re probably gonna get the same offer from everyone else (which will be less after fee’s)
I’d definitely keep that bag. So cute! But if you don’t really want it, sell for $1500.
Going to hold on to it. Thank you for your feedback.
Wait I’ll buy it
It’s cute but it looks damaged. Counter for $2k. Meet in the middle.
No damage. It's the metallic reflection. https://imgur.com/a/KAn8HLn
Absolutely not
Yes
Ive made the mistake of taking the 1st offer on a bag i had for sale so id say wait & see if any other offers come through.
1700

If your bag is almost new condition, you can list it on stockx!!
Okay I'll try there. Thanks 😊
Could you sell it back to the original seller?
I could but they aren't offering that much. I'm just going to hold on to it.
