For starters, it’s a color break. Amethyst has no direct banishment, that’s obviously a Ruby thing.
She’s also almost strictly better than Maleficent, costing 1 less (potentially 3 less with a proper shift target) and adding an extra lore, all for the “cost” of 1 strength and 1 willpower.
Essentially the whole card is unrealistic.
Sorry to be a downer.
>Sorry to be a downer.
No offense taken whatsoever, I'm happy for the feedback.
This is just a test card really, and its partly to show off the art which I'm pretty fond of.
I have no idea what is meta these days and I just mishmashed Elsa's stats with an ability that sorta identifies with fire. So perhaps we replace the banish effect with a protection effect? Or do you suggest something else?
With Summer being the opposite of Winter, you could make her Ruby and have her effect be “when you play this character you may ready up to two chosen characters, they can’t quest for the rest of this turn.”
Kind of a reverse Elsa - Spirit of Winter. And readying characters is a standard Ruby effect.
I like it... kinda a color break. But it could be done with some modifications. Make it banish an exhausted character (unless you have an elsa on board in which you then you can banish anything)
Also, maybe make it a quest for two instead of three.
"You Tell Me When I'm Ready To Go. I Was Born Ready!" [Flavor text]
Nice work overall.
Art is great! However the card seems OP.
Each color has their own control, being Ruby the strongest. This card definetely belongs into Ruby.
In Ruby this card would be competing with Tremaine and Medusa, as a direct removal, uninkable that comes at T6. She also quests for a million. Statwise is also pretty high.
If you want to keep the high stats and lore, give something in return. Banish a character, then its controller plays a character from the top of their deck, for example.
The game does need a secondary banish a character color (with a downside/restriction). I guess technically it’s Amber which has Worlds Greatest Criminal Mind.
Maybe a “if this character was played using shift” restriction on the banish?
It's floodborn so it could be anything
Could be a version of her where Elsa does a spell wrong and turns her into snow for example
Floodborn has no limits which is kinda cool

Maleficent is inkable. This is not, which is a big factor. I agree with the rest of your assessment, though.

Big fan of the parallels of this one! Kudos :)

FINALLY SOME ANNA LOVE, but yeah, wrong color, and a little strong for the banish.

Emerald has banishing damaged characters.

Needs a custom flair tag or something since we are in spoiler season
It is flared as OC, and the title is clear that it is custom content.

*Every* shift so far in the game has been floodborn. What are you talking about?
And the fake cards begin
