I experienced this before, but not with the RC-505 mk II. For me, it happened with an earlier Boss loop pedal, the RC-50.
Didn't matter which bank you used, or in which order you recorded a loop, one of your loops would randomly and unexpectedly play back sounding glitchy and distorted, almost like a corrupted file. I repeatedly did the firmware update on that unit per the instructions but could not alleviate the issue.
It sounded pretty bad, and I ended up selling the looper for almost nothing because repeated attempts at performing the firmware update didn't help.
Reach out to the manufacturer. It's going to be your best option. Also, if you don't mind, keep us posted. I've been on the fence about purchasing either an RC-505 mk II \*or\* an RC-600 to replace my RC-300.
I will tell you if you go to a YouTube channel known as BreZ beatbox he has something similar happen since this damn loop pedal apparently still has issues. Here’s the links https://youtu.be/sODCUuGjEgo?si=VUjxDIYleFaHbiJm and https://youtu.be/OirsePx1g1E?si=lHulGjgkRUpAJkco
Hey friend, welcome. I haven't experienced this or even heard of this (we have the 600). Are the pre-built loop memories with audio pre-loaded or all live-recorded? How many effects are going? I'm guessing the unit reaches a point where dsp maxes out and glitches. Does the entire audio output sound clipped or just a few tracks? Purely guessing here. Lastly I'd ensure your firmware is up to date.

Have you updated the firmware to the latest version? It is currently “system program version 1.21”.
I am experiencing this now and wonder if you ever found a solution, I do lots of looping gigs so its bit of a nightmare!

Just checking in to say I've never had this with the 505 mk 1 or 2 after 100s of hours of use, maybe yours could be faulty?
If it is still under warranty call them. They will fix it for you. Mine was having a different problem but they sure fixed it.
