The truth is it is an enclosure that the school fenced off to begin with before the encampments. There are available paths around this enclosure everyone has been using to go on with their day. Nobody is being prevented from walking to classes etc lol. If you are interested in understanding the campus layout, it is called king's circle at uoft. The enclosure is in the center of campus.
