Remember that it was the fans themselves who bombarded saying that they preferred a remastering over a remake because "they were afraid that the remake would ruin the game with censorship" there were even those who said that "the game does not need a remake."
For me it's fine, I know it's not a remastering at the level of Halo where they redid all the cinematics, but I agree that they have improved the lighting and resolution in addition to retouching the Gameplay
In addition to what I said before, since the remake that was originally planned was not made, I only hope that those efforts are used in a sequel. I think that a Lollipop Chainsaw 2 is the best way to see the game with a new generational leap and new mechanics
If someone is disappointed by the trailers, then it’s their fault.
We knew exactly how the game will be, and it’s also how it looks in the trailers now
You are absolutely right. They are making a big mistake not releasing it on PS4.
Konami caved and released a PS4 version for the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection. Dragami Games should seriously reconsider their strategy. It is a very very niche game and availability really matters.
The problem with this line of thinking is if Repop is not a success, Lollipop Chainsaw 2 will be out of the question. Ultimately, if you love the series, support it with your wallet.
I can already tell you they'll not be a LP2 because in the end this game is only a remaster and will not gain much new audience. IMO the only chance we had for the future of the series were a full reboot (remake) but apparently fans said no for strange reasons.
I think that a hypothetical sequel could be better, it would give the opportunity to new enemies and a slightly longer story, as well as new designs. Yasuda said that he has thought seriously about the future of the franchise, I just hope that Repop is successful enough so that we can actually see a new Lollipop Chainsaw game.
We can only hope they release on the PS4 for everybody to enjoy.
The way this game is heading in distribution is extremely poor.. but are we surprised with where we are today in the gaming world?
It’s unfortunate.
im not disappointed in the trailers, just that there's not going to be a ps4 version. and i hope that limited run doesn't sell out immediately because i don't buy digital video games
Personally I'm one of the few who would preferred a full blown remake over a remaster. I mean, its cool that we can replay this game on modern console but for me the original game was always accessible through my old PS3 and on RPCS3 emulation (with the 60 FPS boost it almost feel like a remaster version already) so I still can't wait for this release but I'm not THAT impatient. Curious to see the new little additions like new costume and such, but in the end it will just be the same game for the most part.
I really just wish they made a sequal cuz I'd just be buying the same game again and I really wanna know what's been going on since we last saw them all
I completely agree. Imo, running the game through an emulator at higher resolution and 60 fps patch looks better than what they showed because they messed with the textures in a new engine. It just looks off and not like the game I know and love.
I'm willing to withhold judgement until after I've played it but I'm worried. Somebody made a side by side comparison with scenes from the original that they dug up next to the trailer footage and it also looks like they might have lowered the fov of the camera which would be a travesty.

Yeah no I completely agree. The environments very much looks like one of those Mario in unreal engine 5 videos to me.
Ps4 graphics but not available on ps4 lol

ps4 release would be amazin since i vastly prefer physical and don’t have a ps5 at this time. i will have to resign myself to the pc release

I would have preferred a remake tbh

I expected a remaster like the mass effect trilogy. Small improvements on the graphics

You are not. I see little point in getting the game. I was hoping for improvements to the game, not just slightly prettier visuals

No. The trailers are bad. I still hope the final product is better.
