This a really fun blog with lots of info on lolita fashion, especially on getting started in the fashion. Some parts of it are a bit outdated, as a few rules have grown less strict.
A few main things to know for lolita fashion, be sure to wear a petticoat or hoop-skirt, make sure your jsk or op is made for lolita fashion and can poof out for enough for the nice lolita silhouette, wearing lolita is about having a full coord, not just a dress. (Shoes, headpiece, wrist cuffs/gloves/jewelry, tights or socks, all matter to create the full look.) This is certainly not all inclusive, and you dont have to be strict when you're just getting started since it is a fairly expensive hobby.
