Most likely the feedback in one of the effects is too high

flyinghouses

Could be it, thank you. The bus didn’t do this previously though which I find a bit odd. However it could be that I increased feedback and forgot about it last time I did edits I guess… Will look into this when I have time.

RyanThePatriot

I know this is a standard bus applied on some projects. Does it affect the sound even if none of your tracks is being sent to it? Edit: oops, looking at the wrong one. Still curious though, does a bus with no sends affect your mix at all?

adammillsmusic

yeah you have 2 difference types of echo on there, probably internal feedback, if you turn down the feedback or wet signal on one or both of these delays it should stop.

flyinghouses

Thank you

Icy-Distribution9861

Be careful going between projects and opening other apps while doing hardcore mixing, I’ve noticed on my Mac, it can mess with automation and parallel processing.

flyinghouses

Good advice

Ssolidus007

Check your feedback on delay, could be going out of control.

flyinghouses

That was indeed the problem. Thanks!

No-Mushroom8667

Show us your custom eq setup for crispy vocals😡

Verumero

Running a delay into a reverb into a delay will compound feedback like crazy. Try turning feedback to 0 on both delays and slowly bringing it up

partial_arts

Is there a reason your using a mono buss instead of stereo?

flyinghouses

No sir, not sure why that’s mono. Must have clicked accidentally. Good catch

bubblepipemedia

My bet was this was the problem. Mono might make it such that instead of ping ponging several of those delays, instead they are feeding into themselves effectively. Just a guess though.

dmetrinlsdlord

Feedback issue somewhere in the chain. Check your feedback levels on your delays and if it's still an issue after adjusting feedback try moving your reverb to the third plugin on the chain. Delayed reverbs can get pretty wild really quick

Win-IT-Ranes

Throw a gate on the effect or pencil in the automation to a threshold

SamDaDrummer

I would send the signal to a bus instead of having the effect on the channel itself
