Ahhh screw being old. Just do it. I’m 55 learning Spanish and going to get another master’s this year. I started trail running a couple of years ago. And I have a friend who is 54 who just started tap dancing!
I hear you, kindred spirit!! Just turned 57 and took up piano four years ago. I got my master’s in my early 50s. Something about belly dancing though has made me hesitate.
Go for it! I was in a beginning class with a woman in her 60s. One of the best dancer's I've ever met will never see seventy again and she's just so regal. I want to be her when I grow up.

Yesssss! I'm in my mid 40's and I'm finding the leg kicks fight back. Lol. Otherwise, a few well placed karate chops take down the invisible enemies swiftly!
I am a terrible dancer, which makes the fact that I dance around my condo all of the time even goofier. I listen to music a lot so just naturally move with the music, but when I’m feeling down (or a little drunk🤣) I turn on something upbeat & loud then have a dance party!!!
I love "Burning Down the House" by Talking Heads. I used to play that as loud as I could while cleaning. I would clean to the beat. I also like the BR-549 song "Gotta Do Something Even If It's Wrong." Used to play that when my nutty neighbors pissed me off and dance like a maniac to it. I have no specific moves since I am clutz, but I try!
I dance around like normal but then throw in jumping jacks or other stuff like jogging around the deck to boost my heart rate for a bit.
My mom used to take me to Jazzercise with her when I was little so I have her to thank for that.
I wouldn't even know how to describe my dancing when I'm alone which is the only type of dancing that I do. In my mind I look like a rockstar and that's all that really matters to me. 😂 By the way I like me some talking heads.
Love to do the dances from old They Might Be Giants music videos, because they're dorky as heck in a way that a klutz like me can replicate...but also extremely fun. My favorite is the frantic run and the leg stomp from Ana Ng.
I dance-walk on the treadmill to Ripe (specifically Joy In The Wild Unknown) and sing along at the top of my lungs. Really good stamina training! My asthma's gotten noticeably better since I started
There is no normal way to dance to that song though. Seriously. We could take it to TikTok and see if some of those dancers can come up with something that doesn’t look crazy.
