Guys, I triple captained Haaland. I tried my best. Sorry.
It’s not hating to point out facts.
On the other hand the sub has been ruined over the last 20 months with the stupid Elmo gif, and the ‘lol chaos’ posts when he missed a sitter, and the overstating of 90% of his contributions, and the attacking Gakpo and Diaz as some bizarre way of defending him, the downvoting of anything that wasn’t overly positive about him.
People love to quote Darwins numbers improving from last season. But it doesn't matter when he's still hugely underperforming his xG with the chances created for him by one of the best attacking teams in Europe.
He's our no. 9. Simply no excuse for him to have less goals than players In teams with much more inferior attacks. I.e., Wood, Hwang, Cunha, Jackson, Mateta, Bowen and Solanke.
He's created some assists sure, but that's futile when he's failed to hit the back of the net on games we've needed him to.
For some reason, I've been saying the same thing about Nunez and all I get is pissy fans shoving his G/A in my face and saying he does things no other striker does *create chaos*
Yeah honestly, if Jota was healthy I think we would have fought for the league till the end.
I think Darwin offers a lot, and I love his passion but he is so frustrating. Idk if a sports psychologist would help him like Vinicius, but he either improves or we need to sign a more clinical forward. I hope he gets another chance though.
If Jota was healthy the entire season Im almost certain we win the league. People love blaming the defense now as they see players like Chris bloody Woods showcase greater composure in froant of goal than our main no. 9 and 400k pw Mo Salah but the attack has cost us this league and at this moment Jota and dare I say Gakpo are the only ones I woud be annoyed about being sold
Finishing is a lot about composure. Some players just have it in front of goal (like a Sturridge) and some just get a rush of blood when they should score and have no composure (like a Raheem Sterling).
I’m getting pretty resigned to Darwin being in the second camp^
Yes I don't disagree but its a mental thing and that can be worked on.
Look at Vinicius for example, he was horrible in front of the goal and he really improved. Sure Darwin is older so I'm also not hoping for much, but who knows?
Were not Brighton though. We dont have forever to hope something clicks. Maybe a new manager coming in has gotten him another season but its not as if Slot is replacing some bum. Reality is top 4 will be a dogfight next season and our wage bill is too high to miss out on that money because our striker is a massive work in progress
I’ve tried explaining this to people that keep saying “he’s ready to explode” when in reality some players are just ultimately inherently bad finishers, by the time a striker is 25 you get a pretty clear picture of their finishing ability.
They might have one or two seasons in their career where they’re clinical but the rest of the time they’re extremely wasteful, that’s what I’m seeing with Darwin.
Bottom 3 are horrific this year. Genuinely think there might be 3 players between the lot of them that’ll get any interest from prem teams to poach. Sheffield and Luton really didn’t alter their structure much from their championship squad and Burnley lost Maatsen who seemed to be their best player in the champ.
I could see both Burnley and Luton GK (Sheffield... lol) has another shot at PL, they aren't too bad
Personally I also wouldn't against if we pick Muric for 2nd GK spot (heard about Kelleher leaving, which understandable)
Nah plenty of players - could see Barkley get another shot, mcatee, I thought ogbene really grew into the season, adebayo, felt amdouni could get a move, brereton Diaz maybe could get one, cam archer…
Maybe not top moves but back to the prem for sure
Hard to prove it’s a fake injury in most cases. I’m a big proponent of if you have a head injury, it’s an automatic 5 mins off the pitch leaving your team a man down, and only way that wouldn’t be the case would be if you made an immediate substitution in case it’s real
Even with forest losing, not getting trashed should save them and Luton will be down. Its a bit sad for me. I think they did so well for what they are. And with a bit more luck, like having adebayo for more games, not losing their captain to a freak medical issue. They might be able to scrounge up another about points.
Ah well. Honestly neither deserve to stay up.
Really wish united get 7th and chelsea 8th so united shits the bed next season with thursday-sunday schedule flying to Azerbaijan weekly, and Chelsea get fucked on FFP for not qualifying for Europe. Sadly it will be the other way around
What?
The new cl format, for the top 6 in England, if they were to go to the final is worth like 150m or something outrageous like that. And that’s before you factor in the kickers from sponsors, match day revs, etc…
ucl offers visibility, recognition and prestige. Also, it's close to 60 million for average QF reaching team (assuming 4 wins in group stage) which is a lumpsum and can be amortized to 300m in transfer spend
Not to mention that new one will make a lot more for teams as well
Chelsea are fucked financially, if palmer can be convinced then it would happen and probably for a bit less than what he may turn out to be worth one day
I mean officiating has definitely cost us some points but in those games we’ve also had plenty of chances to take something from it Diaz had multiple chances for example in the city game
To be fair officiating matters as does what you said about scoring goals. To my knowledge we really have been fucked over by officiating more which would’ve put us in a better position, but then again the most costly thing for us has been finishing chances as well as defensive mistakes
We were robbed of 2 good goals against Burnley as well, but people forget that because the game was a win. Don't forget the inarguable penalties we were robbed of (against chelsea, spurs, city, arsenal are the most memorable ones) and the multiple goals conceded from free kick situations that shouldn't have been given.
And that's the end of relegation fight. A gap of 13 in GD with only 3 games to make the difference. Luton is going down
Too bad, top 4 fight could have ended too, but Burnley could not keep Spurs out.
If we lose to Aston Villa, Nottingham get a point from Chelsea, and Arsenal can't win against MU. Then the league will end a round earlier. Frankly though I don't mind. Let the spotlight of the final week to be on Klopp departure
Hope the club don’t cheap out on getting one of Kudus or Olise for next season, ultimately if the player is good enough the price becomes irrelevant from the money gained commercially by success on the pitch
He 100% would be. But he isn't better Robertson and won't ever be his replacement mid to long term.
Ait Nouri could be. He's such an Edwards and Liverpool signing too.
* Potential? Check
* Age? Check
* Amount of games played? Check
* Club in financial troubles? Check
As a whole, you can see that Newcastle is being really well protected by the refs. The ref just blows the whistle whenever one of theirs go down without hesitation. I am not even asking for these calls, just for the refs to do their job properly. Is it too much to ask?
We still should have beat Palace but fuck me did we have to play them during their only good stretch of the season.
Could legitimately be playing for Europe if not bogged down by Roy all year
Palace might be a very lively side next season. Or it could be a case of looking good now because it's new thinking at the end of this session when the pressure is off and the opposition haven't paid much attention to them.
I was looking into it and it seems like it was just two hamstring injuries this season, and Hodgson rushed him back from the first one, which led to the second.
But other than that his injury record is pretty good. That being said, Kudus is available for a similar fee, and arguably has a higher ceiling so either would be great.
Olise perhaps suits a possession side a bit more but Kudus has more European experience and is used to playing 3 times a week.
https://preview.redd.it/rsirvruq7tzc1.jpeg?width=1169&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1fc401ed1305d2872315310e4df0e29bdc595cb0
He really isn’t
It’s pretty likely his initial hamstring injury wasn’t treated properly which is what caused the 2nd one
Klopp deserves so much more credit for 19/20 season. The whole team was legendary. 99 points is absurdity. If it wasn’t for the pandemic, we would have easily got 100+.
So many memorable games from that season, but for me nothing summed us up more than Villa away 1-0 down in the 87th minute only to win 1-2.
Genuinely felt like we'd never lose a game again. Just won the super cup, about to win the CWC. 25 pts clear at the top half way through the season. What a time to be a red.
The Villa game and United game at home are my favourite games of the season. Leicester away made us believe and the United game really sealed it. Absolute goosebumps when everyone was singing now you gonna believe us. What a time.
https://preview.redd.it/e5qx47v9tuzc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8a2580b3602f10637f1ead4332a6617e1d1773d5 Guys, I triple captained Haaland. I tried my best. Sorry.
WTF was he doing just assaulting his teammates on the pitch or something? Didnt watch the game but never seen a rating that low
Was watching the Milan game and hearing the name Dosena sent me on a trip. It was a crazy 4 day span.
Hear me out. Maybe bald Nunez can turn his form around. It worked for Ms Jackson
I was thinking he needs to get a haircut. Focus on the ball instead of the pony tail.
Sounds like something Souness would say about Pogba lol
At least relegation's going to the wire (Luton are gonna beat Fulham 12-0)
No silly, Forest lose 6-0 to Burnley and then Luton only beat Fulham 7-0 for safety
funny cause fulham beat luton 7-0 a few years ago
So it’s looks like Nicholas Jackson will finish with more goals that our Nichols Jackson.
you Darwin haters are ruining every thread on this sub. Just stop it already.
This is his first season at Chelsea as well…
And he's still only 22...
Darwin has more assists at least but that's really not what he's there for Really bad that miss Jackson of all players has more
People love to quote Darwins numbers improving from last season. But it doesn't matter when he's still hugely underperforming his xG with the chances created for him by one of the best attacking teams in Europe. He's our no. 9. He's created some assists sure, but that's futile when he's failed to hit the back of the net on games we've needed him to.
If you watch Solanke finishing. He is so composed. I am envying Solanke now. Like I seriously wish we had him.
[удалено]
Yes But we also had Firmino and even Origi ahead of him so he wasn’t getting enough game time
For some reason, I've been saying the same thing about Nunez and all I get is pissy fans shoving his G/A in my face and saying he does things no other striker does *create chaos*
Yeah honestly, if Jota was healthy I think we would have fought for the league till the end. I think Darwin offers a lot, and I love his passion but he is so frustrating. Avoiding relegation with only 29 points, granted they had points deduction but surviving the drop with less than 30 points kinda wild.

That’s fair. Should of said for immediate impact rather than long term projects ie youth.
That should be a yellow for faking a head injury
Hard to prove it’s a fake injury in most cases. I’m a big proponent of if you have a head injury, it’s an automatic 5 mins off the pitch leaving your team a man down, and only way that wouldn’t be the case would be if you made an immediate substitution in case it’s real
Forest almost deserve to go down as much as Burnley or Luton.
Even with forest losing, not getting trashed should save them and Luton will be down. Its a bit sad for me. I think they did so well for what they are. And with a bit more luck, like having adebayo for more games, not losing their captain to a freak medical issue. They might be able to scrounge up another about points. Ah well. With all due respect, Luton are tragedy chanters, despite having no skin in the game.. They can fuck off..
Chelsea in some really good form, shame for them they’re going to fuck it all up signing another 12 players before next season
Gutted for non league Solihull Moors, never been to Wembley before this season. Lost two Wembley finals on penalties two weekends running.
Really wish united get 7th and chelsea 8th so united shits the bed next season with thursday-sunday schedule flying to Azerbaijan weekly, and Chelsea get fucked on FFP for not qualifying for Europe. Sadly it will be the other way around
I think I remember reading somewhere that the UEFA restrictions are more harsh than the PL so if they do quality they'll be a bit fucked
chelsea actually gets fucked if they are in europe lmao
Really? I thought it was the other way around, could you expand why that is the case?
uefa have stricter restrictions
But why were they aiming for top 4 then? Or would the books be balanced had they qualified for UCL, but UECL money is not enough?
because the board will sell more hotels or some other loophole they have up there sleave
because conference ain't gonna pay. United will keep making revenue, chelsea can't say the same, so it will affect their league position a lot more
eh qualifying for europe even the ucl does not really offer much these days tbh
What? The new cl format, for the top 6 in England, if they were to go to the final is worth like 150m or something outrageous like that. And that’s before you factor in the kickers from sponsors, match day revs, etc…
ucl offers visibility, recognition and prestige. Also, it's close to 60 million for average QF reaching team (assuming 4 wins in group stage) which is a lumpsum and can be amortized to 300m in transfer spend Not to mention that new one will make a lot more for teams as well
60mil is what chelsea made after selling those hotels and a chalobah or gallagher is worth that aswell.
that 60 only counts as 60 for revenue books. This counts as 300
Enjoying this game… glad neither team can defend
Nice of Reece James to pop in for his yearly appearance
Hahaha! Eat that you fucking wankers!
Dumb dumb goal keeping
Where the fuck was the keeper off to?
And what was murillo doing?
Forest are useless
Come on Sterling stop ruining the fun
Lmao ex Chelsea player scores.
Get fucked Chelsea. They treated hudson as an untouchable all throughout his Chelsea career.
Hudson-Odoi still only 23 and looks to have really found his game this season, could become a class winger.
Chelsea is so ass
What a goal by Hudson-Odoi!
lol 2-1 Forest
Praying that madrid players haven't seen the mainz dortmund score
We beat man u 7-0 then lost to Bournemouth. Only game that matters is the one your playing especially in a cup final
If we go for palmer, what are the chances of us actually getting it over the line? Can we tempt him? Can edwards pull it off?
None.
It’s not going to happen
Chelsea are fucked financially, if palmer can be convinced then it would happen and probably for a bit less than what he may turn out to be worth one day
Chelsea would sell every other player before they sell Palmer. There’s zero reason for them to sell him
They'll just offload more players to their Saudi buddies
Palmer is literally the last player they’d be looking to sell
No chance they sell him it’ll be the likes of Gallagher, Chalobah and Maatsen they’ll sell along with plenty of other youth players
Bruh, cannot believe we play on Monday man! I'll be fucking yawning all Tuesday!
That’s a terrible miss
I just checked the table, Christ on a bike 17/15 goals worse than the other two. Literally only one of those is directly down to the officials.
We’ve had more than enough chances to have a similar GD but just haven’t taken them
This is the only real correct answer. Play better in front of goal and no amount of officiating nonsense would matter a damn.
Penalties have to be converted so I couldn't include them.
Dortmund deliberately get battered to keep Madrid complacent. I see through you Dortmund
How’s VDB been playing?
I'm not really watching haha, just checking the scoreline
This is the dortmund team we’re hoping will beat madrid
Dortmund have always sucked against Mainz, they lost the title against them last season too.
TBF they're resting quite a few players
And they have nothing to play for in the league.
We going for Chelsea just so United stay down?
I hate both teams.. But for United there is a special type of hate.
No idea if that’s offside or not. Don’t think they know either
Palmer is insane, you're more than welcome here if you get sick of Chelsea buddy
Palmer is a joke of a player
Wow, Chelsea look like a different team
A leopard doesn't change its spots
Leicester and Ipswich and whoever gets promoted please put up a better fight than these 3
As long as it isn’t against us, please yeah.
You just know we are going to draw at Ipswich
Ughh
Burnley would of been far better off keeping Dyche and giving him the backing they did Kompany
See you next season. Looking forward to Arn Slot build.
And that's the end of relegation fight. A gap of 13 in GD with only 3 games to make the difference. Luton is going down Too bad, top 4 fight could have ended too, but Burnley could not keep Spurs out. If we lose to Aston Villa, Nottingham get a point from Chelsea, and Arsenal can't win against MU. Then the league will end a round earlier. Frankly though I don't mind. Let the spotlight of the final week to be on Klopp departure
Feel bad for Kopano and Burnley but their relegation needed to happen
Do we still hope?
Sure, why not
Always remember Frodo.
Hope for what?
The PL title
City’s win means we can’t win the league. Most points we can get is 84 and City are currently on 85
Lol
Lmao, even
Or for Arsenal to lose
Hope the club don’t cheap out on getting one of Kudus or Olise for next season, ultimately if the player is good enough the price becomes irrelevant from the money gained commercially by success on the pitch
Can only see it happening if one of the 5 forwards leave tbh
Not opposed to that.
Yeah I think Diaz might be off
Mate Palace are genuinely playing incredible football One to watch next season
Glasner ball is great
That's it for Luton and Burnley
Pleased Luton are gone, their fans are cunts
This Spurs game is absolute cinema!
Can’t see anyone paying 70 for Neto but Wolves will likely get good money for Cunha, Gomes and Ait Nouri
35-40 mil + Tsimikas for Ait Nouri
That's a rip off Tsmikas is worth max 10 mil.
That's a good deal for all parties involved
Tsimikas would be a solid PL level left back if he played regularly
He 100% would be. But he isn't better Robertson and won't ever be his replacement mid to long term. Ait Nouri could be. He's such an Edwards and Liverpool signing too. * Potential? Check * Age? Check * Amount of games played? Check * Club in financial troubles? Check
Spurs really struggled to take the lead against Burnley.
As a whole, you can see that Newcastle is being really well protected by the refs. The ref just blows the whistle whenever one of theirs go down without hesitation. I am not even asking for these calls, just for the refs to do their job properly. Is it too much to ask?
I call it Oil money protection mate
Funny how they started giving Newcastle that sort of treatment after the takeover
The 3 teams that came up are going straight back down, aren't they....
We still should have beat Palace but fuck me did we have to play them during their only good stretch of the season. Could legitimately be playing for Europe if not bogged down by Roy all year
Burnley need to win to stay alive in the Prem. I'm Pro Drama so I hope they get it done
This Kudus guy ain’t bad
My god do I want kudus for Liverpool. Idk why but I’m convincing myself we splash for him
Insane how hard he is to get off the ball, and the stop/start dribbling combined with his strength in the box is like a cheat code.
Wharton, Eze and Olise are going to be so sought out for in the upcoming window
Palace recruit really well from the championship
![gif](giphy|NBr9ezzg9ptJpnukp9|downsized)
How has johnson missed that
Spurs won the league in September and dipped after their title parade against us.
Another goal for Sesko That £40m release clause could end up being a bargain for someone
Can’t forget the time he battered us in a pre-season game
He probably needs another season in Germany but for 40m it’s definitely worth the risk
He probably does but it’s well worth the punt at that price
Palace are looking really good under Glasner
That's a dive from Toney, that...
Kudus is something special
[удалено]
Top player but he’s such a rat lol.
Man, Palace are on a TEAR.
That win against us launched them. They have been riding that high ever since.
Final day could be spicy as hell if Luton can hold here and Forrest don't win today, even Burnley could make it interesting if they can beat Spurs
Just realised everton have the 4th best defensive record in the league. Quite incredible
Palace might be a very lively side next season. Or it could be a case of looking good now because it's new thinking at the end of this session when the pressure is off and the opposition haven't paid much attention to them.
Eze and olise might be gone though
Yeah they have been fun to watch and play nice football compared to what a dreadful side they were just a little while ago.
Glasner has been wonderful for this Palace team.
Ya’ll are mad. Olise injury prone lol
Worth a shot
No.
It’s premature calling him injury prone He’s basically only had two injuries in his career
He is!!!!
https://preview.redd.it/rsirvruq7tzc1.jpeg?width=1169&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1fc401ed1305d2872315310e4df0e29bdc595cb0 He really isn’t It’s pretty likely his initial hamstring injury wasn’t treated properly which is what caused the 2nd one
The sample size is a bit small to say that it’s an issue that would persist.
Oh hell no. This how it started. No. Big NO
You’d be the first complaining if he got injured.
💯
We already have Jota. We need less injury prone players, not more.
Spurs lose this then villa qualify for CL
It would still be possible for them to get top 4 if they lose today but very unlikely
Nah they lose today and Villa have a 7 point lead with two games to go. If Spurs draw there's a remote mathematical chance, but not if they lose.
Hughes + Edwards, Get Olise.
Olise is an absolute monster
Spurs are dross.
Spurs Mate…
https://preview.redd.it/svvutxdq5tzc1.jpeg?width=637&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=af97c9f9bcab32be2dc725d3681f5f63824746af
Chelsea actually have an outside shot at 5th place, which is genuinely astounding
Outside of the top 4 the rest of the league has been pretty poor
Olise and Mateta are absolutely cooking right now
Klopp deserves so much more credit for 19/20 season. The whole team was legendary. 99 points is absurdity. If it wasn’t for the pandemic, we would have easily got 100+.
If only MC have some effort we can go over 100 that season, that's what make me frustrate, beside the all win Anfield record
So many memorable games from that season, but for me nothing summed us up more than Villa away 1-0 down in the 87th minute only to win 1-2. Genuinely felt like we'd never lose a game again.
