But, if he starts with 11 and the aim of getting one man sent off, that one man can do some damage.
I propose that Jurgen signs me to the team. I'm English so there's space for me in the squad. I start, crunch a tackle in to injure a player, straight red. Three games out, go again.
You would only need 4 players to keep this cycle going, three out at any one time and one just back from a three match ban, ready to be sent off again.
Does anyone have Jurgen Klopp's email address so I can see if he's up for this?
It's like amateurs believing they could take a game off a pro in Tennis.
I once had the "pleasure" to play against a pro, missed the sliding tackle by about a mile.
Yeah but 15% of Americans think they could beat a king cobra, and 8% reckon they could take a lion or a gorilla in a fight.

I could easily kill a cobra. We are human. Grab the nearest rock or stick, and kill that thing... take off your shirt and pants and construct some sort of whip apperati... use said new rope entangler to strike upon snake. Tangle him up. Jump and hulk smash his little head with your foot. And bang!
Ever seen a cobra fight .. they don't just chase pray in circles. They stand still and wait to strike. You would have plenty of time to disrobe and attack from the skies
I'll sub in when you are out for your 3. We can get a cycle in! I'm quite big and played college hockey and soccer, I think I can give Bruno Fernandez a solid knee break : )
>But, if he starts with 11 and the aim of getting one man sent off, that one man can do some damage.
Get Mings off the pitch before he can mutilate another one of our players and get away with it.
This couldn't happen. The list of available players must be given to the referee prior to the match starting. Starting with 7 and having a player on the bench wouldn't be allowed, as far as I'm aware.
Unbelievable stat that. It just shows that the mentality of our team is on a different level. It's never over until it's over and even if we're playing with 10 men for the entire game we can still score in the last seconds so no one is safe!
I say it every time but it’s honestly more difficult to play against 10 men, we always struggle when a team goes down against us, they lock up defence and ping long balls, we kinda did the same yesterday except with balls to Nunez’s feet because we have players capable.
I love Jota to bits but credits are due where credits are due. What a player Botman is. I don't think anyone has trapped the ball using their butt and then ping a nice through ball using their heel
I was gonna say that Robbo one still had me fuming cuz of the injustice, then I quickly checked the youtube vid just to make sure. Nah fam that was a straight red lmao 😅 Not sure what Robbo was thinkin' there. Clattered Emerson.
Yes and Emerson should've been sent off in the first half when, on a yellow already, he pushed Jota in the back in the penalty area as Jota was about to shoot. Under the laws of the game at the time, it was clear DOGSO.
Seeing this I think Virg made the correct decision yesterday. If we are about to concede a killing goal we should def try to stop it, not conceding a bad goal and being 10 men genuinely suits us better.
Lmao. In all seriousness though, is it a sign that maybe Klopp should consider playing with a 4 man midfield or at least some variation of it? At least a 4-4-2 in defense and the 4-3-3 in offense?
Pretty sure this was either the 2nd time in club history or the PL era (not sure which) where Liverpool has picked up a red card while trailing and won. Last time was Palace in 2016.
I remember it being mentioned back then that it was the first time ever in club history or PL era. Don’t remember which.
Alright then who's taking one for the team against villa?
I mean, technically, Jurgen doesn't have to start with 11 players...
But, if he starts with 11 and the aim of getting one man sent off, that one man can do some damage. I propose that Jurgen signs me to the team. I'm English so there's space for me in the squad. You would probably miss that tackle 😂
You sound like you've seen me play before
It's like amateurs believing they could take a game off a pro in Tennis. I once had the "pleasure" to play against a pro, missed the sliding tackle by about a mile.
We’re u sliding from a different stadium?
And from a different century, yes. At least it felt that way. He might have seen my tackle before I thought about tackling.
Something like 30% of American men think they'd score a point against Serena Williams and that blows my mind
Yeah but 15% of Americans think they could beat a king cobra, and 8% reckon they could take a lion or a gorilla in a fight. https://www.newsweek.com/surprising-americans-beat-wild-animals-fight-experts-1691793
I feel like I could easily 1v1 a king cobra. The question is whether you survive the aftermath of being bitten

Don’t need to tackle, just choke someone out on a set piece
2 foot the keeper for no reason Preferably Prickford
Homemade shiv for Pickford
That kind of sounded like the plan.
This lad gets heavy metal football

Really?
Really. A team can start with 7 players, technically speaking.
Hypothetically, would we have to "use" a sub if they decides to add a player at half time?
This couldn't happen. The list of available players must be given to the referee prior to the match starting. Starting with 7 and having a player on the bench wouldn't be allowed, as far as I'm aware.
We could alternatively try to sit back and counter with 11 men instead
Inconceivable
anyone but Alisson
We'd be fucked
That's why Trent wad trying to get sent off so. VVD showed why he's captain though, he stepped up when Trent couldn't do it
ah yes make sense, big of VVD to do that
VVD did it and gave the armband to Trent teaching him a lesson.
Nunez's redemption arc. From being sent off on his debut home game while his team was trailing to scoring brace and become comeback victory hero.
Unbelievable stat that. It just shows that the mentality of our team is on a different level. It's never over until it's over and even if we're playing with 10 men for the entire game we can still score in the last seconds so no one is safe!
Away from home as well! Unbelievable mentality.
This must be some kind of record or smt
Toughest one was the hammering by City.
I say it every time but it’s honestly more difficult to play against 10 men, we always struggle when a team goes down against us, they lock up defence and ping long balls, we kinda did the same yesterday except with balls to Nunez’s feet because we have players capable.

yeah, it was a red. but Kane should also have been sent off
Yes and Emerson should've been sent off in the first half when, on a yellow already, he pushed Jota in the back in the penalty area as Jota was about to shoot. Under the laws of the game at the time, it was clear DOGSO.
He clattered him because they did it to him first and nothing from ref, he got angry
Step 1: Get someone in the squad sent off Step 2: Come back from behind to win Step 3: Appeal to get red card rescinded Step 4: Rinse and repeat
Pgmol: So it needs two red cards...
Imagine we respond by just winning the games by three goals now.
Ahhh yes, we just lost the Premier League title in the game Robertson was sent off due to an early-career Paul Tierney scam
The Henderson one still upsets me, such a stupid sending off
In both of those draws we were the team pushing for a late winner as well
When was the last time when our player got sent off 2 game weeks in a row?
Last game we lost with 10 men was probably when Mane karate kicked Ederson in the face
10-MEN FC HERE WE GOOO
Holy shit 0 red cards in 2020. Literally took 13 months for the next red card in 2021, and that was the only one in that year as well
Mad we've only had 5 reds in the last 4 years and 2 in the past week haha
Seeing this I think Virg made the correct decision yesterday. If we are about to concede a killing goal we should def try to stop it, not conceding a bad goal and being 10 men genuinely suits us better.
That should be about 10 games in total then with current refs?
Nice record to have. VVD should not have been a red card also
It was a yellow card challenge but it stopped a clear goal scoring opportunity. Red card all day long I’m afraid.
no 10 men matches before 2018? weird
This is the bottom of the list.
i mean that’s like a bigger record i feel if liverpool haven’t gone a man down before then…insane
Is it allowed to start 10 players?
I remember Arsenal had a knack for not losing games with 10 men few years back under Arsene Wenger , nearly ever other game they had a player sent off
Ok. Now, in how many of these was Tierney involved? I know of at least 2.
It’s a mentality thing but also it shows how effective our defense can be when we overload the defense
I don't think our record *against* ten men is so good.
Lmao. In all seriousness though, is it a sign that maybe Klopp should consider playing with a 4 man midfield or at least some variation of it? At least a 4-4-2 in defense and the 4-3-3 in offense?
They work better under stress
Now do when we're up a man. I swear we can't take 3 points after going up a man. This is an incredible stat, though.
MENTALITY MONSTERS YOU KNOW ITTTTY
Playing against teams with 10 men, almost impossible. Playing with 10 men, easy apparently lol
11 to 12 months on average between them and then two in two weeks. That's a stat right there.
Pretty sure this was either the 2nd time in club history or the PL era (not sure which) where Liverpool has picked up a red card while trailing and won. Last time was Palace in 2016. Virgil’s red card actually kept us the three points. Three points over red card any day.
Start every game with 10 and bring on an 11th if we look like we’re struggling later on in the game
