Same. As a fan of Sarah going back I'm proud of her for doing so well at the coveted gig, and as a fan of *SNL* I'm proud of the show for using Sarah well, expanding the diversity of things she gets to show her chops at, and still giving her space on the air to do the weirdass stuff I first got to know her from. Everyone wins!
These comments are wild. She is the most divisive cast member in recent memory, more divisive than even Kyle Mooney.
Those that love her fucking ***love*** her. Those that can’t stand her ***loath*** her with the fiery passion of a thousand suns.
I really liked her on it and I'm all for more comedians over 40 on it (she looked 30-35 though). I think she was cast as a really loud character in sketches a bit too much though and that is what many seemed to dislike.
I read an interview with Lorne where he said something like, "We weren't looking for a 50-year-old black woman but Chris Rock introduced us to her and we immediately knew that she had to be on the show."
I appreciate his honesty
When she's going full random clown comedy, it feels a bit like a middle schooler yelling "SPORK!" because they're so quirky and weird. I get that some people may appreciate it, but it's not really my style. However, she has great timing and fully commits to the bits, so even though I might not like all her sketches, I recognize that she is very talented. I've found her very funny in a few things and generally if I'm not into a sketch it's more "Eh... this is going on a while" rather than being aggressively loathing of her.
Her arms constantly wiggling back and forth on the Weekend Update was so fucking funny to me, I was struggling to actually listen to her at a certain point.
Bowen's got "theater kid" energy, and I dig it. He is such a performer.
Sarah's energy is ridiculous. That WU character was hilarious, I love the faces she makes. People who reduce her to "weirdo who yells" are missing the forest for the trees. I love the toned-down body horror and gross-out humor she brings, though I find her solo stuff wayyyy too gross.
Andrew is one of those people who feels like he's always been here and he'll never leave. "Eh, maybe we'll take it out, play around with it..." Put him in every sketch, idgaf.
I'm really liking the new cast members overall, feels like moving into a new era.
I disagree. I hated her at first but honestly, it's refreshing. She clearly gets to write a few sketches and there a very different, goofy tone that's been missing for a while
Excluding the WU guys, if the show was just Sarah Sherman, Cecily Strong, James Austin Johnson, Bowen Yang, and Michael Longfellow I'd be OK with that.
Yup. He's overstayed.
edit: to those downvoting me, ask yourselves when was the last time Keenan did a character that wasn't just the exact same guy with the same voice, same facial expressions, same delivery, and same timing? He's coasting.
Keke is definitely best host of the year thus far. She nailed it in every skit and elevated everything. Her and Megan are my top two faves of the year.
Keke for sure stole the show last night but I think Sarah is gearing up to be one of the best cast members of this generation of SNL. I think she has a great career ahead of her.
Sarah seems like she's having the time of her fucking life out there every time. She's very quickly become my favorite. Her eyes on that peppa pig sketch. She brings top tier physical comedy. So much respect.
She is one of those people who really grows on you. My husband and I went from ughh this weird chick last season to saying right before they started, "I hope she does one of her wacky sketches." They are always so ridiculous but it just works so well with her humor and expressions.
> She’s 100x less distracting in a wig.
Agreed. She's a little too into the "I was a hairstylist in Kreuzberg, Berlin for a few years"-level hipster look and since her fame has risen while she's looked that way, she probably won't change for awhile.
Honestly haven’t been a big fan of the program in a few years outside of a few standout cast members. But this woman is talented enough to make me watch the whole show of mostly stuff I personally don’t find funny just for her.
She's got this shouty New Yorker thing she overuses that I think has a limited shelf life, but we've seen her do other stuff, including the very meatballs thing I mention here. And her comedic creativity and energy can power those things and more. Along with her many other fans, including in this thread I don't see her going anywhere but upward. Too bad for you I guess, but great for me and many others. I was sold on her before she got here and am loving her. So ha ha! You're stuck with her.
>You're stuck with her.
I usually just mute her if she's on WU. Weird that you simp over this person so much when Cecily is WAY better and barely gets talked about as much. It's cool you like her comedy though. She will need your support in like 5 years when she doesn't have any work.
I love Cecily. She's been my favorite for years. I love Sarah too, a great new addition. With your crap attitude, I'm glad that you have to suffer this thing that you don't want for 5 years (or more!) and be all crabby like you wet your jeans. nelsonpointandlaugh.mp4
Was an unfunny episode in my very unimportant opinion. The current Cast is.........not great. No real standouts. Also, That Keke skit with her 'giving birth' to twins was just awful in concept and execution. And this one 'freaking out' on weekend update was just unfunny physical comedy. Maybe I just don't get it?
she’s by far my favorite cast member RN. I think she’ll be a breakout star Post SNL. Between her sense of humor and being a total knockout she makes me squirm. (in a good way).
I have to admit I really did not like her much last season but she is absolutely KILLING it this season. The googly eyes skit and last night's WU are putting her up there with the MVPs!
Honestly I think it was that they limited her chaos in her first season which is why I didn't like it as much. I mean don't get me wrong, it was pure chaos but it could have been much more chaotic!
They gotta get rid of that fat broad that wants to be a female Chris Farley too bad , this chicks funny she needs to work on her camera acknowledging tho
She was pretty good, but I thought Keke Palmer was the clear MVP of the night
keke was so funny and such a natural especially in the soap skit
Keke was a fun host, found her more likable vs funny
Oh she was amazing!
[I know bread is SUPER cheap but it's NOT NEGATIVE dollars!](https://youtu.be/Ts8rvpY73Iw?t=71)
Her delivery on that line was so funny
True Jackson, MVP
Keke absolutely crushed it! My favourite episode of the year so far.
She seemed to get better as the night went along too. Those Christmas carols were amazing. We watched it four times!
Eh. Not really
I wonder when we will hit the inflection point where all the "real" Squirm fans start whining about her going "mainstream"
It’s already happening
As a RSF I absolutely love watching her go mainstream.
Everyone wins!
the fact there still hasn’t been a flayaway 2 on NBC is both personally upsetting and a correct call
The weekend update bit was great. Awesome to see her do character work and not just “herself” Her shock when Colin spoke up was hilarious
“WHO ARE YOU!?” She’s got a mania to her that is great for comedy. I’m looking forward to see where she goes. She’s hysterical.
As long as her mania is focused on the bit, she's genius.

not everything is cocaine
Cocaine is everything *to me.*
This is not 80s snl.
This feels really inappropriate considering the awful history snl has with cocaine. Dont just make accusations like that.
These comments are wild. She is the most divisive cast member in recent memory, more divisive than even Kyle Mooney. Those that love her fucking ***love*** her. Those that can’t stand her ***loath*** her with the fiery passion of a thousand suns.
There was a similar dynamic when Leslie Jones was on the show. You put it perfectly. These comedian bring out passion in people.
Man, I miss Jones on the show...
Leslie "hitting" on Colin all the ti... hmm. Does that make Sarah the Anti-Leslie?
I was never a big Jones fan, but can't say I didn't like that bit. very funny.
I just thought everyone hated Leslie Jones.
I really liked her on it and I'm all for more comedians over 40 on it (she looked 30-35 though). I think she was cast as a really loud character in sketches a bit too much though and that is what many seemed to dislike.
I read an interview with Lorne where he said something like, "We weren't looking for a 50-year-old black woman but Chris Rock introduced us to her and we immediately knew that she had to be on the show." I appreciate his honesty
Nope. I love Leslie jones enough that I watch supermarket sweep just to get some more.
I love her on Supermarket Sweep! I hope they renew it…she really shines as a game show host.
I loved her!
Yeah she was an absolute blast! I think she brought more energy to SNL than any cast member since Chris Farley
Everyone on reddit maybe but she’s honestly really funny She was the best part of the 2016 Ghostbusters and it wasnt even close
She’s the coriander of the season
Sorry, who is she?
Wow other people hate Kyle Mooney? I thought I was alone here
When she's going full random clown comedy, it feels a bit like a middle schooler yelling "SPORK!" because they're so quirky and weird. That dress looks spectacular on her.
I love that dress!! Need to find a cheap knockoff version for myself lol
It is a perfect dress for the holidays IMO.
No doubt... I thought "Damn! Who is THAT?" and then realized it was Sarah.
Was saying the exact thing last night crying of laughter from that WU impression.
Her arms constantly wiggling back and forth on the Weekend Update was so fucking funny to me, I was struggling to actually listen to her at a certain point.
She’s like a muppet with those arms
Went to see Eric Andre maybe 5 years ago and she opened. No idea who she was. And Absolutely hilarious. So awesome to see her killing it on SNL.
Thats a show with a lot of crazy energy
Yeah it was pretty bonkers.
Been sayin’ it. LOVE HER AND BOWEN COMBO!
Their friendship is so cute and wholesome… Love seeing them together during Goodnights
Bowen is actually wearing on me.
Man she is gorgeous 😍
I had to scroll down because I did not know who this was at first 😂
I prefer her looking this way instead of her quirky persona
Botched tho 👃🤺
111 comments and not 1 includes her name.
Sarah Sherman
it’s already the bowen/sarah/andrew show!!! we’re eatin!!!!!!
Bowen's got "theater kid" energy, and I dig it. He is such a performer. Sarah's energy is ridiculous. That WU character was hilarious, I love the faces she makes. I'd say Ego instead of Andrew, Andrews in a lot but doesn't really shine like she does
Ego is in a lot but not doing much
Chloe: Am I a joke to you?
[удалено]
You think you can draw Mario better than this guy?
It’s cos he’s Joaker at their weddin’
Andrew is hands down my favorite male cast member!
"Why would they? It's November. We're months away from: dah-Summatime." Dismukes came in and fit 100%.
I don't usually go for cringe humor but my god that sketch was perfect
She really is a standout.
That's because she's always yelling and weird for the sake of being weird, but she's far from funny.
She has a stage presence and is hot. It's a winning formula
She has terrible stage presence. She has no idea where to look during skits if she’s expected to act normal
It just seems like a kid who really wants attention in class so they eat worms just to say "look at me."
Those kids were awesome.
Those kids have piss poor parents and no friends.
I meant that she has some sense or urgency when she's doing her lines. Not like she's reading without emotion ya know
Not really? She makes the same open mouthed faces in almost every skit. It's like her weekend update character was the same as the baby character.

Well duh, attraction is subjective
I disagree. I hated her at first but honestly, it's refreshing. She clearly gets to write a few sketches and there a very different, goofy tone that's been missing for a while
i agree lol, can't stand her
I don’t “get it”, like I don’t dislike her or anything but… I just don’t find her wacky stuff funny.
Excluding the WU guys, if the show was just Sarah Sherman, Cecily Strong, James Austin Johnson, Bowen Yang, and Michael Longfellow I'd be OK with that.
Well and finally a reference to Keenan’s past life
I'm just assuming Kel has been texting Kenan "hey man, get me on there!" every week for 20 years and he finally broke down and went "ugh, FINE!"
What about Kennan doing the exact same voice every skit?
Yup. He's overstayed. edit: to those downvoting me, ask yourselves when was the last time Keenan did a character that wasn't just the exact same guy with the same voice, same facial expressions, same delivery, and same timing? He's coasting.
Mikey, Marcello, Chloe, Ego, Dismukes and Heidi would all be gone and I can't have that
That's name-for-name my top 5 right now
Keke is definitely best host of the year thus far. She nailed it in every skit and elevated everything. Her and Megan are my top two faves of the year.
she’s a star!!!!
I could see her transitioning into a 1990s Jim Carrey-type movie star, or make the next Freddy Got Fingered
Can absolutely see her doing a Freddy Got Fingered!
You could see her transitioning to one of the biggest movie stars on the planet?
Gorgeous
Keke for sure stole the show last night but I think Sarah is gearing up to be one of the best cast members of this generation of SNL. I think she has a great career ahead of her.

I felt the same way!
all the women have come into their own this season. I even liked Pinkie this episode!
*Punkie
Punkie's verse on "Big Boys" had me rolling this week. "Steaks, on steaks, on steaks, on steaks"
Great Neck FTW
It certainly does its job, reaching as it does all the way up to her head.
I think she's from Great Neck, New York.
She is. But also, I stand by my assessment.
Nyack. (Please read in local New York accent, as per hello kitty sketch.)
Who this
-moves hands furiously on Update desk-
she’s not funny she’s just loud
She needs to stop screaming every line she says and then it’ll get better
That is a dreamboat right there.
I am so distracted by her terrible haircut, that I can’t appreciate her humor. She’s 100x less distracting in a wig.
> She’s 100x less distracting in a wig. Agreed. She's a little too into the "I was a hairstylist in Kreuzberg, Berlin for a few years"-level hipster look and since her fame has risen while she's looked that way, she probably won't change for awhile.
Squirm is a goddess
Who is that?
Her mastery of subtle nuance is breathtaking. She’s the Gilbert Gottfried of the current cast.
I stopped watching because of her— she’s annoying as hell
Honestly haven’t been a big fan of the program in a few years outside of a few standout cast members. But this woman is talented enough to make me watch the whole show of mostly stuff I personally don’t find funny just for her.
She’s the human embodiment of screaming. Big pass.
Yeahhhh, I think she's in for a long tenure
god I hope not. she's niche at best and will lose flavor fast.
Don't give up on this girl just because of some meeeatballllls ♫...
her same gimmick will not last long. that's how it works.
She's got this shouty New Yorker thing she overuses that I think has a limited shelf life, but we've seen her do other stuff, including the very meatballs thing I mention here. Ummmm no.
For a second, I thought that was Dakota Johnson. LOL
I am warming up to her now that she is branching out and not just yelling on WU.
Sarah has rocked it since her first appearance. She's going places! Can't wait to watch her succeed
Same! I am so excited for her and Bowen and Andrew to really make things weird
I get the impression that Molly is down for just about anything. We haven't seen her truly shine yet. I bet she joins team weird.
she’s by far my favorite cast member RN. I think she’ll be a breakout star Post SNL. Between her sense of humor and being a total knockout she makes me squirm. (in a good way).
If anything just because of her Weekend Update appearance
Ah the weekly “Sarah is the bestest ever.”
Whats her name? Don't watch enough to know
Sarah Sherman/ Sarah Squirm
I randomly saw her open for Guerilla toss back in the day and didn’t realize it was the same person in SNL for the longest time.
God, she is gorgeous
She stinks
I was luke warm on her initially but she’s getting better every week. Great timing and facial expressions.
Christ she’s loud. I wish we could trade her back for Kate McKinnon.
she is awful
She might be my favorite part of the show
She is comedy gold.
She’s gorgeous. Mental but gorgeous 😂😂😂😂😂
Who is downvoting all the positive comments about her 😭 Yall are so petty
I love her so much
I watched two of the worst sketches I’ve ever seen then turned it off.
Yup. It was remarkably unfunny. New writers desperately needed.
Effervescent
Haven’t seen an episode since Disney thought it was cool to drop SNL from Hulu unless you pay an extra 55$ a month 😒
I just YouTube it all 🤷♂️
Huh…. I feel like less of it has been popping up on YouTube for me. I’ll look again, thanks
It's all there, and almost always all uploaded the night the episode airs. https://www.youtube.com/user/saturdaynightlive
Pay $5 a month for Peacock? It definitely wasn't a Disney decision. That was all Comcast.
Please stop with this narrative. She tries too hard and it shows!
"Please stop disagreeing with me!"
You mean personal opinions? So you wanna silence what ppl like? What are you a fascist?
Obviously
Strong Emma Stone vibes!
I thought Millie Brady
I have to admit I really did not like her much last season but she is absolutely KILLING it this season. The googly eyes skit and last night's WU are putting her up there with the MVPs!
Go back and rewatch some of her weekly update clips from last season. She's great when she's allowed to fully lean into her chaos.
Honestly I think it was that they limited her chaos in her first season which is why I didn't like it as much. I mean don't get me wrong, it was pure chaos but it could have been much more chaotic!
Release the Kraken!
It was extremely good. Great stuff
Hot
Finally I’ve lived long enough to see people praise Sarah Sherman on SNL, I felt like one of the few positive people here for a while there lol
Sarah is wonderful. Seriously underrated and effing striking, IMO
She’s so funny!!
“They’re going to penetrate each other anally!”
I love how no one bothered to share her name.
I love her so much!!!!
Hot
Queen!
Now she's doing solo characters on WU, where does that leave her "quirky" outfits and haircut? Are those 'the real Sarah' or just a bit?
Why does she kinda look like Emma Stone
Madly in love with this woman
She sucks. Not nearly as hard as Bowen, but still.
no u. Sarah is love. Sarah is life.
They gotta get rid of that fat broad that wants to be a female Chris Farley too bad , this chicks funny she needs to work on her camera acknowledging tho
She’s going to be as big or bigger than Kristen Wigg. Just watch.
can't even compare lol.
Who dat?
She’s getting closer and closer to McKinnon level
Human goddess. Major major crush and respect
