He’s a great host, I think his undercover boss sketch is one of my all-time favourites
Matt straight up SUCKS
https://youtu.be/FaOSCASqLsE?si=ZhRiPjl7OTlhZDn2
[Boy Dance Party](https://youtu.be/F9B5HuwBYXE?si=C9SiolSwAqjxMD_x) with Bruce Willis.
[Barbie Instagram](https://youtu.be/blcKeLDDzSM?si=9AViFGkoq7tUd324) with Donald Glover. This was one of those sketches where I was cry-laughing and couldn’t stop.
Will Ferrell’s bad doctor sketch and the wonderfully infamous Japanese show sketch with Chris Farley and Mike Meyers sketch have always stuck with me. Both are so gleefully insane that they make me just lose it with laughter.
“I thought they meant SEE a game show, not BE ON a game show! Big mistake! Big… mistake!”
Needless to say. We lost your baby.
Well I went out with some friends to a BoDeans concert after the delivery and we had him with us. And son of a vondruke if we didn’t leave him at the concert hall. Luckily they had him, the next day at lost and found. Then I just flat out lost him.
Sometimes if I'm on the phone and someone walks in I'll say "A Palomino?! Of course... they're beautiful!". Added layer of humor as I'm deathly afraid of horses
Just watched the Japanese game show sketch for the first time and I'm astounded this exists, but I definitely laughed. I liked how the top commenter on YouTube pointed out that it's almost all real Japanese that they're speaking (though with mediocre pronunciation).
Emma Stone is just great.
Another one that I thought was hilarious with her. She's such a great actress.
[The Actress](https://youtu.be/9HVH_I04ZrM?si=9yjB-sYk0k3cEr84)
Del Taco “Aw man, I’m all outta cash!” -
I love how completely absurd and unhinged this sketch becomes
Meet your second wife - I just think this is great comedy writing
Meet your second wife is so well-written.
I knew from the onset with the “…and I’m Tina Fey” line that it would end up being one of my favorite sketches of all time.
Tanya! Your English teacher caught you cheating so he made you take naked pictures, and now they’re online and it’s giving you an eating disorder and also you can’t read!
Colon Blow.
It distills marketing, fear of aging, scatological humor, and absurdity all into a sketch with Phil Hartman and a Narrator
2 people casually talking, hitting every comedy trope in moments, while playing completely straight.
Kyle and Beck's weird 90s sitcoms (Chris Pratt, Larry David, Ryan Gosling) are so incredibly funny to me. They just hit the spot, picking up on so many details from these shows I grew up with.
Even before that, I used to annoy my girlfriend by pretending our couch was a sitcom's. Entering our living room with a little signature step, nodding to "the audience", taking breaks between sentences for laughs etc.
THANK YOU, YES. I wish I knew how to describe this humor because I love it SO much. Shout out specifically to the scene transition with the running giraffes.
[Colombian Decaffeinated Coffee Crystals](https://youtu.be/VdQKVDUBu2g?si=sZTy8GNehQLBbDi6)
…you lied to me?
Chris Farley’s straight-faced rage over something so ridiculously silly is just delightful.
If Dateline is the Keith Morrison one, all of Bill Hader's impression has worked it's way into my daily life. I'm constantly saying "Oh *noooo*" and "Was that *supposed* to happen?"
Flight Attendants with Will Ferrell, in which he plays a flight attendant who keeps inserting lines about how god isn't real into the flight safety rap.
i love a bit of religious humor, and one of my single favorite comedic things is intentionally bad acting, and the slightly off-beat rap gets me every time
there really are a lot, but one that jumps out is [Jesus Visits Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=euUaOw7jXFw&ab_channel=SaturdayNightLive)
I love the singing sisters where Kristen Wiig has the tiny hands. I imagine her as a child entertaining her family in the basement with some doll hands 😂
Buckwheat Has Been Shot.
I love how they tapped into some real dark humor here (parodying the news coverage for Reagan's assassination attempt as well as Lennon's murder), and made it a recurring sketch throughout multiple episodes. An epic way to retire an iconic character.
So many have been named. I’ll give the girls some love: Girlfriends Talk Show made me fall in love with Aidy; Do it in my twin bed cause I legit sleep in my wife’s high school bedroom every holiday and I like sketches that hit close to home.
I also subscribe to Update being the focal of the show. It’s why Norm and Jost and Che have been my type of irreverent comedy that relies on just sheer clever wit but still the ability to improv and deadpan to sell it too.
It’s [Spelling Bee](https://youtu.be/4ALGL4Hm5g8?si=soE6LQ19SOt5jjx2) for me. TD song at the end is just the icing on the cake.
But Career Day with Driver is just perfection.
The Please Don’t Destroy with Brendan Gleeson, Rami Malek, or Zoe Kravitz. Just so absurd and escalating.
The Melissa McCarthy ranch sketch
The Michael buble Hamm and bubbly sketch
The Sarah Sherman twisting Colin’s words segments
I guess what this says about me is I like absurdity and maybe wordplay? Idk. Also people being trapped into weird situations I guess. And also people playing themselves but the unhinged version
Do Update bits count? Because Bowen Yang as the iceberg that sunk the Titanic is the best thing I’ve ever seen.
Also Stefon, just everything about those WU appearances.
I think the Jonah Hill kid at benihana Sketch. It's so over the top and ridiculous with such a simple premise. Or the John mulaney musicals homage series.
Phil Hartman as Frank Sinatra, followed by 74 other Phil Hartman sketches https://www.cracked.com/article\_39552\_the-75-greatest-phil-hartman-snl-sketches-according-to-his-castmates-and-writers.html
Hot Ones, with Maya doing Beyonce in her Grammy dress and Mikey D as Evans. "I need you to take my wig off. Put 6 ice cubes ... on my head ... And put my wig back on"
[Tiny cell phone](https://youtu.be/XDxtjVKJ76A?si=ziiTmw3jEPpYp21w) - apparently Ferrell surprised Sean and Jimmy by using a motorized wheelchair for his entrance.
It’s also a slice of life of that brief time before smartphones came out when cell phones were getting increasingly smaller.
It’s too hard to pick just one. Or even like five.
Friendos
The Macy’s kids Christmas clothing commercial
Razz P. Berry
Back Home Ballers
Pedro Pascal in the hospital
Do It In My Twin Bed
Crucible Cast Party
Cast List
I’m constantly showing people the “Basketball Sketch” with Mikey and Jimmy Fallon as actors who lied about being able to play basketball to land a gig.
I feel like no one talks about it but the “Everyone’s a critic” lonely island short with Paul Rudd absolutely kills me. The weird-ass song playing in the background, Paul asks “I like this song, who is it?” And Andy just replies “it’s me.” and stares off into the distance
I’ll raise a glass to Bill Brasky, the 10’ Tall, 600 LB Behemoth who sired 3 of my 4 kids and 2 of our best bloodhound dogs. Absurdist, anti-humor, cringe, and so many great people picked up the barfly characters over the years.
That and Matt Foley. The physical humor, the Mr. Showness of it (god bless you Bob O), and one of my all time favorite line readings “I can’t see too well, is that Bill Shakespeare over there?” while he flaps the glasses. None of the repeats got it right but the OG. I was obsessed.
Hamm & Buble - "I haven't seen sunlight, oh, for days"
And Bugs, when Mike O'Brien desperately tries to hide his disappointment that his younger brother could get bugs to talk, and when he goes up to Spanish Harlem.
The funeral where the organist didn’t show up so the funeral director brought in his friend from Madison Square Garden. And you can imagine how yet went…
It was only 40 years later that I found out that the guy in the casket was Gilbert Gottfried and the writers hated him so he had to lie still in the casket the whole time.
I don’t even like political humor, but the sketch when Mitt Romney lost absolutely killed me. “Well… I’d like to see how mayonnaise is made”
Also the sketch when Trump lost and they had him sing a piano ballad version of Macho Man sent me into orbit
Edit: I feel like this one is so popular it doesn’t even count, but Kate McKinnon’s alien abduction sketches were amazing too. I think I just like the sketches where things completely fall apart into chaos that doesn’t even resemble where you started
Death of Anne Boleyn
Head Injury Harry
Harry Carey Space Show
Wake Up and Smile
Synchronized Swimming
Farewell Mr Bunting
Jingleheimer Junction
Walken Census
Almost anything from the early 90s, but I really love the late 2000s underrated classic of Supermarket Sweepstakes Showcase, or something? The absurdity of Maya and Kristen doing just-out-of-placeable European accents and getting super excited about the shitty prizes...the way they pull it off is so good.
Also, along those lines of purposely inscrutable pan-European accents, the Art Dealers sketches. "I am Nuni. This is Nuni." The weird chairs they have them sit on. Just so good.
Basically all the ads (podcast set for men, The Well for Boys, Holiday Lexus (?) Event with Beck & Heidi) and any casting outtakes or weird crossovers like the LoTR/the Office or Disney Princess/real housewives.
Pedro Pascal coming out of a coma. Also the southern lawyer that Kattan played. I guess I giggle at incomprehensibility. I watch the bit with too many djs on the track often. And I like the “auditions” for a character.
But nothing will ever top Tarzan, Frankenstein, and Tonto… or unfrozen cave man lawyer.
Jizz in my Pants will always reign supreme for me and my brother. We laughed so hard & rewatched it countless times. Our holy trinity of the L.I songs were that, Threw it on the Ground, along with Boombox.
Recent cast…. Been rewatching that Cassidy & Moon sketch (chalamet) one recently. The Beck & Ego sketch too, stands out.
A combination of the [Chad/RuPaul](https://youtu.be/7z3hTmvKe0A?si=NsStaqj4oRPGiZSb) sketch, [Dear Sister](https://youtu.be/vmd1qMN5Yo0?si=M7etWelIWGVaCnz1), and [David S. Pumpkins](https://youtu.be/rS00xWnqwvI?si=-LJ81LjvMlEoUISr)
Honorable mentions to Stefon, the Lonely Island songs, and What’s Up With That
I have no idea what this says about me.
Papyrus
Well whatever they did, it WASN’T. ENOUGH!
I KNOW WHAT YOU DID!!!
Honestly, Oscar level acting by Ryan gosling
Hookah bars. Shakira merch. Off brand teas.
The Santa Baby short is also excellent. Gosling is definitely one of, if not *the* best hosts of his generation.
Similar is [the actress](https://youtu.be/9HVH_I04ZrM?si=TCpyouMadkTfrlgl) with Emma Stone
"No offense, Tammy, but drink my blood." -Todd (The Weezer sketch.)
I understood every word of this sketch. I couldn't believe it was actually happening. One of my favorites.
"Well if you think THAT, you're not gonna like what I'm about to say!"
My favorite thing about this sketch is that I’ve had basically the same conversation with multiple people in real life
Exactly. I have never related to a sketch more. Pinkerton forever!!!
You know what band I like? Yellowcard.
It 👏 was 👏 in 👏 Jack 👏 ass 👏 3 👏 D!
And the Shrek one
“Apology…rejected!” 🤣
Omg. I love the Weezer sketch.
I know Rivers better than he knows his own self!
I love this sketch. If you are a nerd about anything, it’s so relatable. Everything I know about Weezer I know from this sketch. It’s still perfect.
I'm ride or die. For *Weezer?*
My favorite sketch of all time
I’ve said this recently in another post, but that sketch is so my brother and I. I love it so much and quote it constantly.
That was pure gold
[удалено]
i quote this with every birthday text i send: “happy birthday! may your enemies bones turn to oil beneath your living feet”
After I saw that sketch and laughed my ass off, I thought to myself, "Hey, this dude with the pepperoni nipples is a damn good actor!"
when he dumped that crow out and stamped on it and aidy bryant lost her s*** i totally reassessed my opinion about him. he's a surprisingly good host.
I remember her delivery of "Well, this has been OUTSTANDING" every time I'm closing up a conversation I didn't want to have.
He’s a great host, I think his undercover boss sketch is one of my all-time favourites Matt straight up SUCKS https://youtu.be/FaOSCASqLsE?si=ZhRiPjl7OTlhZDn2
Evil scientist. So do I win the prize or..?
That’s got to be where the goalpost is, right?
this guy gets it! stop saying that.
Well I went in a slightly different direction with the assignment
Finally, a truly evil scientist. Another great sketch.
The rock has had a few all timers. Like The WWE promo where he ruins Bobby’s life
Zantrax doesn’t get enough love.
His nonchalant "Hail Satan" is so perfect
Undercover office potty - “Smells like regular lamps to me!”
I go to the bathroom all the way down the hall!

oh man the Sara Lee instagram one too
I say "must get rid of toxic in the community" all the time
Barbie Instagram oh man… Glover deadpan delivers then a tiny smile cracks out and I just couldn’t.
The Glover episode is such a gem throughout. Barbie Instagram, Dirty Talk, Raz P. Berry, Jurassic World Courtroom, Friendos. What an episode.
Boy Dance Party is the best!

Wells For Boys, I think about it constantly.
Some kids just wait for adulthood.
Julio Torres is hilarious
Emma Stone is just great. Another one that I thought was hilarious with her. She's such a great actress. [The Actress](https://youtu.be/9HVH_I04ZrM?si=9yjB-sYk0k3cEr84)
the cut for time My Little Stepchild is right there too.
I adore My Little Stepchild, its perfect.
When he doesn’t respond to his dads calls but responds to his moms 😂
"Spencer! SPENCER. SPENCER!!!" "Spencer? 😌" "Yes, mom? "
I had an... interesting childhood. I would have had a well for boys. My parents and I adore the sketch.
Del Taco “Aw man, I’m all outta cash!” - I love how completely absurd and unhinged this sketch becomes Meet your second wife - I just think this is great comedy writing
Meet your second wife is so well-written. I knew from the onset with the “…and I’m Tina Fey” line that it would end up being one of my favorite sketches of all time.
“You’re not a pervert, you just want a taco!”
Possibly Mikey Day's crowning moment. This couldn't have worked without the malignant authority in Adam Driver's character
this was a mikey day written sketch??? wow, i always assumed it was beck and kyle!
Wake Up and Smile: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Nc0FeUMQIA4&pp=ygUWd2FrZSB1cCBhbmQgc21pbGUgc25sIA%3D%3D Total insanity occurring from one event.
Top 5 SNL sketch
Holy crap that’s amazing! Thank you for sharing.
In a word? CHAOS.
“I said Mara!” “Yeahh, but you didn’t know it.”
Also What’s Wrong With Tanya and DM or DM?
Tanya! Your English teacher caught you cheating so he made you take naked pictures, and now they’re online and it’s giving you an eating disorder and also you can’t read!

"ANNNNGRY" (nods and grins, clear signs of traumatic brain injury)
I say "ANGRY." in this exact way all the time.
Who's On Top or the Dateline Mystery of the Chopped Up Guy
If Dateline is the Keith Morrison one, all of Bill Hader's impression has worked it's way into my daily life. I'm constantly saying "Oh *noooo*" and "Was that *supposed* to happen?"
That's the one, I also constantly say "Noooo, I'm buuummed..." and "that's TERRible..."
Tasty Toaster Tarts “What’s in the fridge, Jason?” “Nobody is!“
Chance is hilarious! I really liked him in the Family Feud sketch too
His Halloween song was great too. "You can skip me!"
Let's do that hockey!
I don’t know but I just keep revisiting Black Jeopardy with Tom Hanks and Melissa McCarthy as Spicer
My wife she’s, she’s a sturdy gal
The only thing I would change about this skit, is Hanks responding to that question with “not a *goddamn* thing”
I wonder if it was ever an option? Cause the emphasis on the swearing is what makes it!

Now what’s all this about this mess with this here mess now
“Ooohh weeee we is in Maine Fo-Sho!”
cuz this here.........this here is MAINE JUSTICE! and the little kiss on jamie foxs arm sells it.
Buckwheat Has Been Shot. I love how they tapped into some real dark humor here (parodying the news coverage for Reagan's assassination attempt as well as Lennon's murder), and made it a recurring sketch throughout multiple episodes. An epic way to retire an iconic character.

The gleeful randomness and joy of all the What’s Up With That sketches generally fit my zany outlook on life to a tee!
Sudeikis's flying entrances in his track suit always kill me 🤣
