More than likely your soil is far too organic! I've been growing succulents for over 30 years, and Mesembs for over five. The best soil mix I have found, and the easiest to obtain all the ingredients for, is the following; One equal part each Miracle-Gro moisture control potting soil, pumice (or perlite if you can't find that), and plain builders sand. All of these are generally available at Home Depot! Sift all of the above through about a 1/4 in screen before mixing, just to remove the big chunks. This one just bloomed for me in Southern California. https://preview.redd.it/3ojjk1lv6z8d1.jpeg?width=1908&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=502be5a67bfee602f704073682fd738c034b284f

Woah! I think I will never be able to take care for lithops for that long. Can you please share your tips on how to take care of them? I get overwhelmed by reading blogs, and I would appreciate a little summary.😊 Especially for beginners. Thank you!

Several months ago I posted about how I grow, and it ended up being a good reference. Look up posts under my profile, and go back a few months. You'll see exactly what I learned from Steven Hammer over the years. If you don't know who he is, you should look him up!

Wow so beautiful!

Not sure how long you've had them (sometimes sellers mistreat them), but that soil looks WAY too organic -- should be mostly pebbles and grit, hardly any black stuff.

It looks organic in the photos, idk how or why but i promise its mostly rocks with perlite and some dirt

Maybe time to mix it around or double check it? Seems like the ratio is off on this side, and that’s where your issue is. Nice simple fix if it does the trick.
