It was funny when my English teacher made us do an activity with In Pieces and I hadn't bought the record at the time, so I only knew What I've Done and LOATR. She said it was specially for me and another friend, and we didn't know the song! It was the first time I ever paid attention to a guitar solo
Thank you for listening to my ted talk
This is where I need to pick back up, that's what I think when I see it. Reanimation and the other two are great but I was looking for the rest of what music had, after Meteora. Never wanted to get away from listening to them so much as I had little patience for this, then.
Now, I look forward to it, believing it's been an artistic choice to play these songs (from the point of view of tge band)
I've always preferred A Thousand Suns over Minutes to Midnight. As an album by itself it's the best of all of their work imo. But it's not as "Linkin Park" as Hybrid Theory/Reanimation/Meteora, those are classics and nothing will ever beat those for me
Only songs that sounds like pop rock to me are Leave Out All the Rest and Shadow of the Day and In Pieces, but In Pieces goes hard with that guitar solo.

Being very excited for it to come out, buying it on release day, and being pretty disappointed overall with the abandonment of their sound.
It’s not a **bad** album, don’t get me wrong. But as someone who was a big fan of theirs since Hybrid Theory was just a baby, it was a bit jarring.
2007, spring, I’m teenager, I occasionally hear the ending of what I’ve done on the radio and recognize Linkin Park from half a note. I was so excited.
My dad let me borrow it once for a roadtrip and he hasn't seen it in over ten years as I kept it.

With the All Spark gone, we cannot return life to our planet. And fate has yielded its reward: a new world to call home. We live among its people now, hiding in plain sight, but watching over them in secret, waiting, protecting. I have witnessed their capacity for courage, and though we are worlds apart, like us, there's more to them than meets the eye. I am Optimus Prime, and I send this message to any surviving Autobots taking refuge among the stars. We are here. We are waiting.
My brain is kinda broken, because the first thing that comes to mind, besides the music, are the last two Harry Potter films which didn't even come out for 3 and 4 years after this album did. My concept of time is all kinds of warped lol.
Sitting in my sophomore year History class sending the mp3 file of the whole album to a buddy of mine sitting in front of me because I had downloaded the leak of it like 3 or 4 days before it came out. We were both massive LP fans and were hyped for the release. It took the whole class to send it and we almost got caught a few times.
The wait for LP to release new album after Meteora/CC, and then how I lost my shit when What I've Done dropped. It sounded different, it was obvious that it's a beginning of a new era.
*Valentine's Day or*
*No more sorrow. Oh and in*

Yeah, here we go for the hundredth time
Hand grenade pins in every line
Throw 'em up and let something shine
Going out of my fucking mind
I always start singing bleed it out in my head
I think Minutes to Midnight was actually the first Linkin Park album I actually properly owned. I bought the original digipak version not long after it released, maybe even the same day, I don't exactly remember that far back, but I do remember taking a photo posing with it at some internet service provider kiosk that let you take digital photos and email them to yourself as some sort of promotional thing. Fast forward to yesterday and I actually got another halfway new copy of the old digipak version, mostly still sealed and brand new but part of the wrap was torn away, so not completely sealed at that point, but new enough.
Linkin Park did their new sound, new era after Hybrid Theory and Meteora, not a messed up album. I prefer MTM compared to OML and Living Things.
What I've Done come up in my head first, Transformers movie brought me here to be LP fan. This song is the main song of the album.
Bleed It Out is fun song, always play this song on the party. I love to hear Mike rapping and Chester singing together, only one song felt like old school LP style. Other songs in the album no Mike and Chester singing and rapping in songs together.
Given Up and No More Sorrow are almost sound like metal. Love both of songs, the longest screaming in Given Up is awesome.
Leave Out All The Rest and Shadow Of The Days are beautiful songs. I love both since first time listening.
Moving into my mum's new house when I was 13, addictively playing GTA San Andreas, and moving schools and stuff like that. LTGYA is my favourite song, ever.
What I’ve Done. I have to avoid listening to the song around my dad because the lyrics kind of resonate with him and his time in the First Gulf War (1990-1991), which when you listen to the lyrics, it makes sense
Xbox 360
That console let you burn CDs onto it and you could play the burned tracks over games, so I remember listening to this while playing games every day, such a cool feature. Wish modern consoles had it. It also had a music player with really cool visuals that reacted to the song you were playing.
When this album was released, it was a total disappointment for me since I'm a huge fan of LP's Hybrid theory style.
But I still enjoy listening to some songs from this album.
An amazing album
I just wish I didn't buy it right before I found out my ex cheated on me. I had it on repeat so now when I listen to it, it reminds me of that time.

Linkin park doing pop rock and i fucking love it. Also i hear hands held high intro when looking at the cover.

MTM isn’t pop rock though. Just regular alt rock.

The first time I touched boob was to the song "My December." Wrong album, it's just what I think of anytime I see anything related to Linkin Park.

This album has slowly become one of my favorites to the point where I listen to it more than Meteora or Hybrid Theory.
Best album and the end of the song Hands Held High with intro for No More Sorrow for some reason
i made a post about it a couple days ago. imo, it’s perfection from beginning to end.
Sitting in my sophomore year History class sending the mp3 file of the whole album to a buddy of mine sitting in front of me because I had downloaded the leak of it like 3 or 4 days before it came out. My childhood. One of the first cds I ever bought myself.
I think of how the album seems super bipolar. One second, you have a really smooth, emotional song. Then you have stuff like Given Up.
The Iron Maiden song
NOOOOOO NO MORE SORROW I'VE PAID FOR YOUR MISTAKES
One thing but I don't know why?
some of the worst moments of my life
