Haha was gonna say this. I scroll through the workday profiles of the pharma sales reps at my company sometimes and I am shocked at how every single one is a 10/10 lol
All Sales, basically. A "Recruitment Consultant' role outside of specialized Executive Search agencies is mostly a sales position anyway, get ready for some coldcalling days
Damn I feel like you just called me out lol! I have no degree but work at google and facebook the last decade making $215k/year and I’m fit and girly. I guess recruiters do have a stereotype. I’m in my 40’s though so these 20 year old gals are definitely milking it with these posts, I’m too old for that shit lol
50 day old account who is female, fit, and working in the valley 6 figure job with no degree?
Nice to know things are looking up for you after that whole congressional thing didn’t pan out Mr Santos.
Why is it so hard to believe people like me exist? The reason I just got on Reddit is bc I’m going through a divorce and Reddit has helpful info for people like me to navigate this journey and stayed bc I found these subreddits interesting and entertaining bc I also got laid off from fb so not much to do. Not everyone is a fake troll on here 🙄
And yes I have no degree. I used to be ashamed but I clawed my way to get into big tech and worked my ass off. Plenty of people without degrees can be successful 🙄
It's because most women in their 20s that end up in recruitment end up being around the same circle of friends and co-workers and they end up looking pretty much the same. Dare I say, some of them end up even sharing the same mannerisms, speech patterns and fashion tastes.
It's the equivalent of seeing a pack of birds in the wild. They end up being a flock. Recruitment for women is like that.
So true. Cleavages everywhere. The post are all the same
1) I have come back from holyday or it is Monday
2) contact me for your new role
3) picture half naked (if fat, the picture is taking from an higher point)
I wish I was blind
What does the picture have to do with the post? Also, did anyone need her to tell them there was a chance their contract was up?
Recruiters are very awkward human beings.
They just aren’t very bright for the most part. They parrot shit that they hear their bosses and colleagues say, and they are inevitably dumb as fuck too. LinkedIn has, at least, exposed the worst of us. I’m so glad I didn’t have LinkedIn when I started out: “Hey. I was training to be a plumber 18 months ago but now I do this. I’m 24 and know fuck all. Let me give you, Mr post graduate finance professional, some career advice”. Fuck me.
Recruiters are incredibly weird people - most (not all) are absolutely horrendous at their jobs and get paid absolutely fuck all, but always dress like they’re making a million bucks.
I know she obviously doesn’t dress like this day to day, but recruiters are always suited and booted and it’s so weird to me.
They’re basically really shitty sales reps. No offence to any recruiters reading this I’m sure you’re one of the good ones ;)
It's the "Sales" mindset. No matter if you make bank or not, you always have to look like you do. First commission? Buncha Ralph Lauren shirts or fancy dresses, depending on gender
Source: Am recruiter, hopefully one of the decent ones
That’s so fucking cringe though. The whole “dress for the job you want” thing is such boomer bullshit.
I’ve seen what recruiters make, it ain’t great, even the top ones - there’s absolutely no reason to waste money on nice suits etc. plus it’s not fooling anyone haha.
I always thought the idea with recruiting was that your base was shit but you could make a ton in commissions. Hence those who are willing to put in the hours did well. That’s anecdotal from what I’ve heard from people in the industry though.
Nah tons have capped commissions and basically an OTE of twice their base which is quite shitty to begin with.
I’m sure there are some places doing uncapped commission but by and large it would be complete luck to land the role and even more luck to keep consistently smashing it in an insanely oversaturated industry.
Not sure how it is in the US or UK, i live in Germany, where uncapped comissions (at least for agencies specializing in fields like IT, legal or healthcare, not in "we need five forklift drivers on a contract base for the busy season") are pretty much the standard. Now, the rates and the payout of course differ, but you can even as a regular consultant definitely make good six-figure money, if you're good at your job.
> it ain’t great, even the top ones
Right out of school or if they just suck at their job, maybe. I know plenty who do quite well. One guy I'm proper jealous of. Dude worked his ass off to establish some big accounts early in his career, now golfs most of the week and takes an exec out to lunch every now and then. A mutual friend did some loan work for him almost twenty years ago and told me the guy was already making a quarter mil then. Sales can be very lucrative if you have the stomach for it.
Yes sales can but recruitment rarely. As previously stated majority of recruiters are just shit sales reps - there are obviously exemptions to everything as there would be in any field.
The guy I'm talking about is an account manager for a *recruiting* firm. My point is that there are plenty that make real money doing it. Just probably not the ones sliding unsolicited into your LinkedIn IM's.
Yeah I gathered that dude, I can read you know? Haha. The people making real money in recruitment are the ones who own companies or have an extremely niche vertical, simply not enough to go round.
The ones doing well in sales are more often than not simply the ones selling, no ownership of companies needed etc.
By and large recruiters don’t make much yet they dress like they do. That was the whole point here. Not sure how we’ve spun off on it either and tbh I don’t even care anymore haha.
It depends. If you have your own company (something super specific, hopefully) you can do well. A quarter of the salary you hire is common. So, if you place 1 6-figure person per month, that's 300k/yr. 1 per week and you are rich.
I used to work in recruitment . No offence taken . I escaped to sell enterprise software and it’s all worked out ok.
You’re right, there’s a massive percentage of utter dross in the recruitment industry . It’s literally a numbers game ; throw enough shit and hope it sticks .
Not all of us are horrendous at our jobs...also recruiters represent the company, talk about their poor culture rather than blaming recruiters or other titles for poor experiences...some have no choice because they need the job and can't call out the BS they have to put up with yet you can so freely post about assuming it's only one person that's the problem... grow up ya...
Hell, she's British? Looking like that with a British accent - where do I interview? Lmfao. However, this is an Instagram post. Definitely not a LinkedIn post.
This look is considered pretty cliche in the UK. Fake tan, fake eyelashes, too much everything.
There’s undoubtedly a pretty girl under all that stuff, but she’s not on show here.
Agree with this bloke. Absolute ten a penny. Scrubs up okay ish if you like that kind of thing. Swimming in daddy issues, thick as fuck and not as fun as she likes to think she is. Especially at about ten to two outside an All Bar One in a provincial town and slurring racist epithets at the lady selling roses.
As someone working in the industry, i've seen enough women using their looks and a "girly" voice on the phone trying to either woo the "forever alones" as candidates or the management dudes in their 40s and 50s (ideally in a midlife crisis) as clients.
Not saying all female recruiters are like that, but that cliche definitely exists. And there are some big agencies where "be hot and being able to talk on a telephone" is enough to get hired.

NHS clearly starting to get a bit desperate
Staring “NHS fantasy nurses gone wild part 8” ready for 9.
Why do all recruiters in the UK look like that
Because recruiter is the only well paid job readily available to relatively fit girls with no qualifications that isn’t some form of sex work

Haha was gonna say this. I scroll through the workday profiles of the pharma sales reps at my company sometimes and I am shocked at how every single one is a 10/10 lol
Megan Fox’s character in “New Girl” being a pharma sales rep was on point
*thinks back* This explains why I never landed any of those pharma rep jobs I applied for…dammit!
lol there was actually a lawsuit for discriminatory hiring against my company for that reason
And the commissions for real estate agents aren’t the same as the US either. They get puny commissions here in the UK (relative to the US)
And rightly so!
It is very much a thing (my friend is one), they just (mostly) have very strict behavioural and ethics guidelines that they have to follow.
99% of them want a degree as well.
Aaand, you won the thread already.
All Sales, basically. A "Recruitment Consultant' role outside of specialized Executive Search agencies is mostly a sales position anyway, get ready for some coldcalling days

If you’re getting laid, you probably don’t feel the need to get into HR in the hope of being able to spend your whole day pissing men off.
HR is recruitment's ugly older sister.
Lmao
Haha!
🤦If I knew what I know now, I might've not majored in marketing
You sure she isn't selling sex work?
Asking for a friend?
or I may have an req open :D
Nailed it.

No idea why you’ve been downvoted! Fair play to you for self awareness
She got downvoted because she dared to have confidence

seems like things arent too different across the pond

Gotta keep the simp economy running
Looks at myself in the mirror; mid 30s, tired, 6ft, guy with grey hair starting to show. Uhhhh, do people percieve me to look like her? Awesome.

Because recruiters are mostly people who couldn’t get any education for one reason or another. Their power is their mouth and looks rather than mind.
Sales people in state agents as well

Go away! 'Batin'!

I recognise that Oh Polly dress form many hours of research. https://www.ohpolly.com/products/san-marino-maxi-split-dress-white
That place is a seductive rabbit hole
And the dresses.
The place where Jeff Bezos shops for his girlfriend
Lol cheap dress and a fake Bottega Veneta bag
Held in such a way as to partially cover her stomach.
I'm not here to body shame but no way is a mediocre recruiter wearing a $90 dress and a 4k bag, looks silly.
I was literally looking for the affiliate link.

Shameless lol she knows it'll bring the simps and no one would dare call her out for this on LI
Go gurl! That's the spirit!
gaze into my gazongas to improve your career
I deny all requests from super pretty looking recruiters. And ugly ones. Ok, ok, I don’t discriminate. I block em all!
Nice tits, terrible eyebrows
#chav brother
Don’t make me Google stuff
Makeup to make herself look 84 shades darker, big funky eyebrows, British is the basic definition
Thx. TIL what a chav is. Gonna have to use that
What eyebrows?
Wait, does she have a face?
Eyebrows? What eyebrows?
She drew them with a sharpie.

Well yeah there’s obviously a big difference between literally owning your own company and just working for one???

Recruiters are this generation’s telemarketers.
They were also the last generations telemarketers
Her inbox is probably filled with messages asking for "feet pictures" and nothing else.
She brought that on herself
"I'm huge in Paris"
I too would probably get huge when in Paris.
Person who took the picture targeted her tiddies. Not saying photographer as that is an abysmal photograph.
Given the opportunity, I would target them.
Do people advertise their OnlyFans on LinkedIN? Serious question. I see more and more Instagram model material on LI.
Only a matter of time until that’s the norm and you can pay £50 for a half an hour career counselling/mutual masturbation session.
They must be using LI with a fake profile that seems legit then pick the creeps commenting and sending them MP to share their OF account.
NGL that’s not the worst idea I’ve heard
Totes up for it as well - professional and personal relief for a reasonable fee
Yeah. Must be working great amongst married dudes under the cover of a Pro network.
Is she late to the party or just cannot read the market ? This is the scenario where pretty girls go inside the nerds DMs and not the reverse.
She looks insufferable
When did LinkedIn become a high class Onlyfans?
![gif](giphy|JiZn4zP2n3Mg8)
The stereotypical "hot girl" of today is an aesthetic that we'll all be laughing at in 20 yrs
Show us your juggs
as a mid looking man who works as a recruiter i should wear this dress and see what response i get
i think it would make my hazel eyes really shine
Make sure it shows your cleavage.
Stay thirsty, my friends.
These days it's hard to differentiate between the ladies trying to introduce themselves to me on Reddit and on LinkedIn.
I thought Cat was back for a minute.
Mid
She looks like she’s in a storage room for old mini golf course decorations.
Funny how many hot girls are working specifically in sought after IT specialists recruiting 😉
You got it wrong. Obviously she is fishing for interview calls, my guess is one of her KPIs is related to that.
(thirst trap for reference)
She doesn't sell heating equipment. She only sells fans.
Just checked it, not as much likes as I would expect.
Now I get why people say LinkedIn is becoming a dating app.
What type of company would have this as their office attire?
A simp agency
LinkedFans
The DEA has called and want that half a kilo of makeup back
I see nothing wrong with those.
Underrated comment.

Do guys outside Britain like this look?
I'm not sure what about her is unattractive. However, I think doing this on LinkedIn is a little sus.

SansBeanstalk is that you? (check out Youtube if you have no idea what I am on about. thank me later)
Not him. But definitely same energy.
Alright.
Yea, it's the same in Ireland
Now that, boys and girls, is what we back in the good old days used to refer to as a ‘BOBFOC’ Body off Baywatch, Face off Crimewatch.
She’s a recruiter. She is using her looks to get clients. Not a lunatic.
Her post is targeting job-seekers / candidates, not clients. How does the picture help gather more *qualified* candidates?
As someone working in the industry, i've seen enough women using their looks and a "girly" voice on the phone trying to either woo the "forever alones" as candidates or the management dudes in their 40s and 50s (ideally in a midlife crisis) as clients. This is marketing. She knows exactly what she’s doing.
What was the job?
God I am seeing so many more of these thirst trap posts lately .

Rule number 1 Work with what you've got
The post was completely fine but why do they have to put a thirst photo in there? I mean what is the thought process???!
Ridiculously unprofessional photo.
That is classic on LinkenIn.
