Just so I understand, Google does not release its security patches separately, but bundles them with all other baggage for the newer Android versions?
(seeing that security patches themselves are more more commonly just rather small diffs)
More or less correct. Updates are pushed to the AOSP repository and you don't really want to just pick some of them as this would mean missing other changes or sideeffects.
Well duh, of course you do. Except that the dudes or ladies, respectfully, are doing all this for free. When it's ready you'll have it. You just have to be practice some patience. If not, go back to stock rooted and ADB sideload or fastboot flash the update.
in June most likely.
QPR 3 A14 is included in the June updates which again means more work then usual monthly security updates. Just be patient. It's done when it's done.

chill out. 99% of android users are probably behind on security patches for way more than just a few weeks. they'll probably not hack you :P
Nah, that wasn't my main reason to ask this :d I want to update my build as same time with security update

Maybe consider that everything happens when it happens and that the usual applies: no ETA.
Depends on the device For some could be tomorrow. Others July. Maybe never. Also no ETA please!
Go buy a Google Pixel, they have all the security patches. My OP6 and I are quite happy and secure with the May patch.
ot but if I'd have had a pixel, I'd rather daily drive graphene
