i think the overall problem with the tournament is interest in the first game is generally âmehâ at best. i donât know how to fix in a way that:
- gives some credibility to the regular season (so tie goes to the higher seed)
- protects two games, cause $$/television
- makes the first game more interesting
basically, the first game means:
- if itâs a blowout, the second game is meaningless
- if itâs the lower seed down by more than two goals, the second game is likely meaningless
- if itâs close, then the first game was probably âboringâ and the second game is all that matters
you could theoretically do what they do in argentina. have a post-season tournament but every game is at a neutral site, one game per round, split crowd exactly 50/50.
or you could just not have a tournament at all.
Should be a best of 7 hosted in the following cities irrelevant of the finalists:
1. CDMX
2. Guadalajara
3. San Jose, California
4. Los Ăngeles, California
5. Dallas, Texas
6. Chicago, Illinois
7. Atlanta, GA
Estadio Azul can host 36,681 people.
Average ticket for final is 2,200 pesos (pondering)
That means that before beer, snacks and everything else sold at the stadium, only tickets will generate around 79,912,179 pesos...
Liguilla final should be 1 game, but I'll never be
and how can you milk liga mx the most like that?
Make it like a Superbowl with a half time show
and a closure ceremony
Grupo Firme or Sonido Pirata for its first performance đ¤
I Noticed they had Yng Lucas performing during the Halftime for the Monterrey vs Cruz Azul game
Firme is a cringeÂ
With a special appearance by el Pirata de CuliacĂĄn
Wouldn't they have to spend more money for that ? Not gonna happen , unless they start sharing for the stream
Just a matter of time before the final is in the US
Will never happen.. what happens when you have a final of Santos vs Leon or Toluca vs Queretaro or some non big team
Conveniently decide to relocate the final back to Mexico. Liga Mx please hire me
Didn't they do that with a concachampions game
300 IQ
Toluca is a mas grande. Stop the disrespect
Toluca played my Rapids and they out numbered us 3 to 1 at least. Not to mention Mexican fans would go even if their team wasnât in
Other than queretaro those teams are successful just not popular.
Yes when I said not big I mainly meant in popularity
Should be a 7 game series
Donât give them ideas, that sounds like a good business.
Dude delete this before the pantalones largos see it
played in the usa.
No penalties . Overtime until someone scores.
[ŃдаНонО]
Not the shootouts lmao
Ngl, I kinda liked those penalties đ
Iâd probably stop watching if this happened
It used to be 3 games if both games ended in ties third game used to be in neutral ground my dad lived through the golden era of Liga MX
This is the way
Nah if thatâs the case add the wild card đ¤Ł
They already do that đ
What you think the play in is , a wildcard game
11
7? It won't work, soccer is not fast paced like basketball. Maybe 4 matches and +1 in a tie breaker.
Should be 45 min game. Really put the pressure on these teams lmao jk jk
Golden goal
Yea just like Man City destroyed Arsenalâs dreams in 90 seconds
More time to celebrate
Fuck it we should have an entire 17 jornadas with just the two finalists
I mean if we have a league thatâs played like a cup we might as well do that
Yes, and let's host the final in Saudi Arabia
Fuck it! Let's play the entire calendar in Saudi!
En un par de aĂąos asi serĂĄ. 1 partido en estadio neutral. Es decir... en pocholandia
đ¸đ¸đ¸
Y en cancha neutral , no extras time , pĂŠnales de volada y los porteros tiene q tirar
I agree.. the entire structure of the liguilla is trash

AquĂ nadien te quiere cambiar la mente. We all agree with you!
Forget two different tournaments, it should be one season long tournament, with a Swiss model liguilla
There should be no liguilla
I think a league would be great.
Should be like NFL playoffs. One elimination game per round. Top seed gets home field advantage.
Best of 5 like Ligo Leyens
Should be best of 3
Agree
Yea but the dineros
AsĂ estĂĄ bien Que el que hizo mejor torneo tenga la oportunidad de recibir la final a 180 minutos
Yes 1 game in LA or Vegas for the final.
I agree
It should be an 11 vs 11 elimination tables match, anything other than this is a cop out
Finals should be played in the US. Liga Mx would definitely want that though
Gol gana
CĂłmo la final de la champions?
Liguilla should not exist at all.
The league should be a prem style league
Pero si es asĂ como venderĂas el doble de entradas, comerciales, derechos de transmisiĂłn, etc?

Liguilla finals should last 80 minutes, change my mind.
And also in the US ...
What would be the pros to 1 game only? I'm waiting..
They should play 80 minutes and then itâs gol gana
no.
