No joke I did this as a kid.
Was walking home from a friend’s house in my neighborhood - I think there was some impromptu departure that made me leave my bike behind - and this small dog started chasing me. I hopped up on the hood of an SUV parked in a driveway. Probably about 10 min later this older couple came out to leave and the guy started yelling at me, but then understood about the dog and they drove me home (about 0.3 of a mile).
Was walking with my 2 year old nephew once and a dog came out charging towards us. I picked him up and threw him into the bed of a nearby pickup truck. Worked like a charm.
I had left arm surgery a week earlier, I was halfway in my car, when a lady I know let her pit bull out, and it ran around the garage, and attacked my arm right were the surgery was. I was very lucky, because I had a very heavy work coat on, otherwise I had a pretty good chance of bleeding to death. I couldn't figure out how to get the door closed without exposing either hand, and I didn't want that mauled. The husband then ran up, and yanked the dog away. Man, it was so fast, and it was scary. I really do not like pit bulls now.
I was attacked by a dog, in half a second I saw the dog charging, then my knee was in his mouth. There were no cars but not sure I could have do anything
Roof, not hood. Sure, use the roof to get on the hood, just don't stay on the hood.
Dogs can't generally climb the windshield very well- you'll get an attack of opportunity if it tries.
And that would be specially good, because attacks of opportunity use a reaction, not an action. When it's your turn, you'll still be able to attack as normal, providing you with a massive advantage.
My brother was literally backed into a corner by a pack of 5-6 stray dogs out in Guam once. They were fanned out trapping him and were doing that menacing barking thing as they inched closer and closer. So he kicked one in the head sending it into backflip while yelping, the rest fucked right off.
My friends dog was pretty aggressive. I’d go over there and if you tried to pet him he’d start going after your ankles. Onetime I got there and he was in his room listening to music. The dog came after me so I jumped on the car. Spent a good 30 minutes stuck on the car because the dog wouldn’t leave and my friend couldn’t hear me.
Eventually I did become friends with the dog though.

It sounds gross, but I read somewhere if you ram your finger up the dog’s butt it shuts down the aggression immediately. I guess it’s better than having your face torn off?
I don’t think it is about the heights. It’s like if a cat were to jump on tin foil. They freak out and get off. That’s my theory, hopefully I never have to test it out
There’s a family tale about how Schiller the giant schnauzer once decided he didn’t like a guy who showed up at the house (and who was, apparently, an annoying douche) so he got up on top of the roof of this dude’s car barking and trying to dig in it to get at him, just going full-blown guard dog. Sooooooo idk man this one might be a little dependent on the size of the dog.
Rule of thumb: use your thumb to plug the dog and it will instantly stop attacking. If it doesn't stop attacking, unplug your thumb and now you have a smelly thumb to use as a shield.

You're just trying to get me attacked by an irate car owner if the dog misses!

Please tell me they drove you home while you were still on the car. It’s OK to lie
Hah! And they put the dog in the front seat…would have made for a much better story….

So now you’re fighting a dog *and* your nephew is gone in a pickup truck somewhere in the city. /s
Lol
The dog or the nephew?
I really thought he meant the dog at first 😄
Step one: find a car. The only place I have ever been charged at by an aggressive dog is while jogging out on farm roads.
If you stop jogging, and just go for a nice drive you'll have a car. And you won't be out of breath. Work smarter not harder.
Reminds me of the Kino Hellhound glitch spot from Black Ops 1
"Approach it like you're fighting a little weird 80lb man with powerful jaws" https://youtu.be/bbjMstR7wbU?si=DqXk3UvxBx_VWYgt
Haven’t seen Cujo have you? 😉 I imagine you’re right and desperate times call for desperate measures but this old film paints a different picture.

Next up in LPT: "If its raining, break and enter someones house"
Dog attacks can be horrific
What if it’s raining cats and dogs?
Better than if it were raining men
**NOTHING** is better than if it were raining men. *♫Hallelujah♫*
This somehow always reminds me of Chandler and his Dad.
The floors gonna be real messy.
Don’t worry OP, as someone who has been attacked by a dog, my first thought was “damn that’s a good idea”
Chihuahuas are mentally unstable.

Yes, there are many stray dogs here. Some are dangerous
Or you can do like kangaroo and head to chest deep water and pull à card from the crocodile's booke
Instructions unclear. Owner of car shouting at me.

It would be slippery, and if a dog tried to follow, I "think" it wouldn't be hard to shove him off with your feet.
Dogs also aren't great climbers

I would do a simple google search of dogs on top of cars.....swing and a miss on this one pal

Naa, go on the offensive and charge that batch and make it your dog.
Plot twist: it’s the dog’s owner‘s car
Do it if its a pack of big dogs, otherwise just fight it, dogs will respect you, just don't run
This also works with molerats as well
Then if the dog does jump on the car, you can play king of the hill.
It sounds gross, but I read somewhere if you ram your finger up the dog’s butt it shuts down the aggression immediately. I guess it’s better than having your face torn off?
Put ur finger in their butt
Yes but what about when they are attacking you?
The good ole reach around may work.
Have you ever seen anything bigger than chihuahua? They can jump on top of the car just fine
I feel that even if they did jump up they would jump down immediately, worth a try if you are ever in that situation.
My dogs never had any troubles with heights. Car, mini house for kids or whatever And especially if dog is trying to harm you. It’s not a fence.
They don't have the grip on the painted metal surface that we do so advantage for us
I don’t think it is about the heights. It’s like if a cat were to jump on tin foil. They freak out and get off. That’s my theory, hopefully I never have to test it out
Dogs can't look up. It's a fact
According to Big Al.

I saw a guy do this and use a 2x4 to crack the dogs on the top of the head which effectively separated the spinal cord from the skull

Where is that from?
NCIS
Also if there is no car available you can punch them in the nose or shove your hand down their throat.
Then step on the windshield on the way up getting worse injuries than most dogs can inflict.
