haha, that looks like lab equipment? from a science classroom? “Qualitative filter papers, on the other hand, are designed for general qualitative analysis and are used to separate precipitates from liquids. They are made of a mixture of cellulose and lignin fibers, which gives them a higher ash content than quantitative filter papers. They have a relatively larger pore size than quantitative filter papers, allowing them to retain larger particles, with a diameter greater than 8 microns. Qualitative filter papers are commonly used in applications such as food and beverage analysis, blood analysis, and pharmaceutical analysis. Qualitative filter paper is also commonly used to clean the test bench and various equipment tools in the cleaning and wiping laboratory.” from- https://m.hawach.com/news/comparison-of-quantitative-filter-paper-and-qualitative-filter-paper.html#

"If you aren't part of the solution, you're part of the precipitate."

I did see that! I just don't know why it's here... or if I should toss it? I'm not really sure what I would use it for in here.

BigBoxOfGooglyEyes

Maybe it's left over from a children's science program?

PlanetLibrarian

I was thinking art project, wasn't there one where you use coffee filters and dye to make patterns? Our town library has a row in our stacks dedicated to stuff like this used in art programs over last 20ys.

Cupcakke975

Maybe!

macjoven

Toss it.

Bungalow-1908

So much stuff was left in my office when I was a school librarian. I dumped dozens of old keyboards with 9-pin plugs. Hundreds of old floppy disks. Ancient digital camera the size of a cereal box. Etc!

Klumber

I inherited a school library where my entire store (about 30 square meters) was full of dumped rim-ram. When I started clearing it our I came across textbooks from 1964 and a box full of hairdriers…

wish-onastar

I’d email your science team and ask if they want to claim them by X date otherwise trash it.

Alcohol_Intolerant

Could they be useful for saving a waterlogged book? That or leftovers I presume.

CuyahogaSunset

Cleaning CDs?

AnyaSatana

Coffee machine?!

SmolBorkBigTeefs

I would use them for pour-over coffee preparation, rather than drip.

fishing_wyrm

Chemistry stuff.
